We had a family wedding here just over a month ago, and it was a great experience! Sam is a phenomenal person to work with, and seemingly made the entire process as painless as possible. He is able to work with difficult and particular people, and that flexibility is extremely rare. The second point to make is the food is amazing! Ashirwad set us up with a tasting for the wedding, and that tasting honestly ended up being our dinner. It was plentiful and delicious. The kitchen staff and Sam's dad (who I believe is in charge of recipes and kitchen staff) were extremely amenable to some changes we wanted whether it was more masala or less sugar or more nuts, etc. However, the food served was delicious on its own. Due to COVID, we served a simple Gujarati dinner after the wedding, and the guests (and we!) enjoyed it thoroughly. The malai kofta, achari paneer kathi roll, Gujarati daal, manchurian, ras malai, mohanthal etc were all so great! I do wish there was some indication that sodas were available; most of the guests had no idea they had access to these beverages, and even when I asked a staff member for some soda, she wasn't sure if she was allowed to serve. The banquet halls available are simple and pretty in my opinion. It is not a high-end ballroom, but you can decorate it as much or as little as you wish. These kinds of things are personal preference, and our families opted for a simple look overall. I would certainly consider hosting my own wedding here, and I definitely would recommend Aashirwad Palace to others for their events. read more

What can I say about this venue, Sam and his staff. Any amount of words would be less than ideal! Sam was so accommodating from the very beginning till the day of the actual event. He helped us out with each aspect of my son's birthday. He was patient and took in all of our questions and worked with us to make a budget that worked best. His staff was also very polite and helpful. The food was also amazing and we were able to figure out the spice levels and make changes all thanks to the menu tasting that we were able to do literally two days before the actual event. Any other parties that I could have I would definitely try to have it here. I've been to just about every Indian Banquet Hall in New Jersey, but none of them are as beautiful and classy as Ashirwad Palace. I've been here many, many times and each time I always have an excellent experience. It is a family run business and the owners are always on site for each event to personally make sure everything goes perfect. The food is always delicious, tasty, and plentiful. They have two rooms- the downstairs (the Garden Room) which can hold up to 130ish guests, and an upstairs room which can hold at least 250 guests. Both rooms are always very CLEAN and well maintained. If I could do my wedding all over again, it would definitely be at the Ashirwad Palace! read more

This review has honestly been wayyyy long over due! I had the best experience at Aashirwad Palace and working with Sam was like working with an older brother! He was prompt with returning phone calls and leaving voice messages, but most of all, he treated my fiance and I like adults. He was straight forward with us and respected despite the fact that we came to the banquet hall by ourselves without our parents. Unfortunately, other Indian halls seemed to blow us off because our parents were not with us. Sam was extremely understanding of our culture and respectful of our religious beliefs and customs. When my fiance and I came face to face with a circumstance that caused us to lift our originally planned engagement date, Sam obliged without asking any questions and was very accommodating when we rescheduled our engagement about seven months after! Keep in mind, if you pay the deposit (like we did) you will not get a refund. However, Sam will reschedule at no additional cost! The staff was also polite and helpful! One of the best things I loved about this place is the privacy your party can receive if in case another event is happening simultaneously! Each hall has its own set of private bathrooms, so you will not have to share with members of another party. The food was also very good! My mom isn't the biggest fan of north Indian food, but she LOVED the food here! I only heard great things and did not receive a single complaint! There's also ALOT of parking and cute spots to take pictures :) When we came to check the hall, the bathrooms were very clean! However, for some reason I was told that there was water on the floor of the womens restroom. I'm not holding that against the establishment, however, because anything can happen during the course of 4-5 hours with 110+ people. My ONLY thing I wish they would have had were some screen projectors of some sort :/ I've seen other establishments have them installed in their banquet halls. I would still give a 5 star review, however, because screen projectors are such a trivial thing. While scheduling a meeting with Manish to look at this venue to host an event, we specifically asked for the availability of 2 Saturdays. Manish said one of the two desired dates were available so we decided to meet with him to look at the venue. Upon arriving, we really liked the convenience of their large parking area. Manish showed us the room that would accommodate our party size but proceeded to tell us that the day we were inquiring about was recently booked. From a professional stance, once that date was no longer available it would have been courteous for him to call and let us know. He then proceeded to to tell us about all the Sundays that were unbooked even after we told him Sundays would not work for us. Thanks, but no thanks. read more

I reserve 5 Stars for extraordinary service, food and ambiance. Ashirwad Palace has it all. From the outside of the place it doesn't have the look of a restaurant. Brick exterior. 2 floors... The top floor can be rented out for parties. The main level as well but it's more of a restaurant/martini bar...seriously...a martini bar. With hookah (which I didn't try). It wasn't overly busy on a Sunday night. There was a small party near the bar having a grand ole time. On a couple of TV's they had Indian movies playing and in the faint background low playing Indian music. So it was very relaxing. We were seated by the owner. Very nice guy. Since I am no expert on Indian food my gf needed to order for me (she's not Indian but raved about this place). What we ordered: DRINKS: Flirtini for her...sweet, feminine but kick a$$. JD appletini (name escapes me) for me...strong with a good kick. MEAL: Naan for both of us- Garlic style...ree-dick-you-luss!!!! It was like pizza dough but with Indian flare. Lamb Rogan Josh for her. I don't like lamb, tried it, not my thang but she loved it... Veggie Korma which we split because we are gluttonous. Very, very good. A good compliment to a meat dish. Bengali Chicken for me. Wow-zer! This was spectacular. The chicken was fall off the bone quality and the sauce it was cooked in made it so flavorful with a spicy kick. Oh my not only the best Indian dish I have had but up there on best chicken dishes ever. What added to the laid back atmosphere was the owner would stop by, chat it up, share a laugh and make sure all was going well. There was not one item I would improve on about Ashirwad Palace. Our first time at this place, though I have driven past for a while and never known what it was. It appears to have a bit of an identity crisis, whereby it can't decide if it's a restaurant, club or catering hall. BUT... By far the best indian food within 30 miles. We have had a few places which have come and gone, hopefully this one is here to stay. The food was excellent (Loved the Tikka Masala), they had a full bar (rare for indian food) and were attentive. I have been here about three times, every time to pick up my take out order. I hate the interior layout of this place. It's basically a big open hall with a few tables and chairs illuminated by dingy red lighting. The bar on one side combined with the dim lighting gives you the impression that this place is trying to be a bar and a dine-in place at the same time. Nothing wrong with that except the poor execution. The food however makes up for the lack of ambiance. I wouldn't say it tastes great but good enough to not disappoint you. Take out orders can take a while, even when this place isn't crowded. So give yourself about 20-25 minutes after placing the order. read more

To start with Sam, the owner of the place himself gives the overall impression of the place since he is very friendly, approachable, professional and above all runs the whole place like a passion rather than a business transaction and that definitely made the difference in our decision to select Ashirwad as our venue. I have no idea where to begin!! Love Ashirwad Palace for making my Engagement party perfect! I give a lot of credit to Sam (Sankalp) who was so accommodating with all our requests. Every time we went to see Sam he paid attention to what our needs were and made useful suggestions. In a nutshell he will treat you as family and make sure that the event goes as you have planned, at least on his part :-) The interior is simply beautiful, the amazing chandeliers, the chiavari chairs added natural class to the whole event! The lighting is great and very unique, the concept of it changing to keep the ambiance lively is brilliant. The food was simply delicious, everyone was raving about the food after the party. The pani-puri live station was a unique idea, the falafel bhel was a hit among all the appetizers. The main entres- hard to pick a favorite cuz they were all excellent! The bar area is pretty cool too, they have almost everything you need and if you have any favorite beers that your entire group loves, let him know and he wil make sure to make it available on the day of the event. They have two big TV screens by the bar area and Sam suggested that he will be able to keep a slide show going of all our pictures if we gave him the USB and that looked nice too. Attended a baby shower on the first floor. Owners are really nice, they let us use the bathrooms to change clothes ahead of time. The outlets in the bathroom did not work, so they found an extension cord for us. We needed melted chocolate for one of our baby shower games, they melted the chocolate for us- 8 pieces all on separate plates. Food is great, sound system is great. He explained the different levels of spice, helped me pick it out and it was outstanding. Ashirwad Palace has been now emotionally attached to one of my favorite place. This is a long overdue review that I'm finally writing because they definitely deserve it. Last year we had our wedding and reception there and I couldn't have possibly a better venue in mind! Sam has been amazing when he helped us plan both of our events he made sure everything gets done in timely manner whatever we asked for! He and his staff go above and beyond to make their clients happy. During our reception, we realized we didn't have enough boutonnieres, we were worried. Sam stepped up and made enough of them with the flowers we had. There were many other incidents where he and his staff made sure everything for our big day went smoothly. We have had many of our friends do their events in the past as well. Of course the food was amazing for wedding. Keeping our diverse guests from both side Gujarati and South Indian cuisine, everyone was happy. I had my wedding at Aashirwad Palace recently. When I first met Sam and his family, I fell in love with the way they did business and the palace for that fact. Since then we kept in touch via e-mail and worked out details until the day of. The day of the wedding and days after, everyone kept coming up to me and my family and said how great the food was and how nice the palace was. At the food tasting prior to the wedding, we were very impressed with the taste and texture of all the items. That being said, we did notice some slight changes in taste and texture at the event but it was still absolutely delicious. For example, the vegetable manchurian tastes better fresh because the longer it sits in the sauce, the softer they become but this is the case with most food that is served buffet style but the flavor was spot on! The presentation was also amazing. All the food came out on time. So keep this in mind when creating your menu. Everything came together so perfectly and I couldn't be happier. Thank you so much to Sam and his family. We will definitely be back :) If you're going to have a wedding here, consider using Kalash Decorators. We found them to be extremely affordable and they did an amazing job with the decorations. We shopped around extensively and found Kalash to be the best one to meet our needs. The dishes that received the most compliments were the chicken curry, fish curry, goat curry, palak kofta, the presentation of the fruit platter, rasmalai, gulab jamun, mung halwa (this is their specialty and hard to find anywhere else), kati roll, mexican pizza (great for kids and western guests), chicken tawa was also delicious and presented very nicely. Sam was an excellent bartender and the value, taste, and quality of bar services were exceptional. They also make signature cocktails for the bride and groom and everyone is still telling us how good the mango coconut mojitos were! During the entire day, Sam managed the event, and it felt like we paid for the venue and food but got a free wedding planner as well. He also checked on the bride and groom throughout the day. While everyone else was taking pictures and enjoying their food, he was coming up to make sure we were okay and bring us drinks without even asking. He even packed up the leftovers so we could have an afterparty and the food wouldn't go to waste. These services are unparalleled and unheard of in more traditional venues such as commercial hotels and banquet halls. We also had dinner catered the night before the wedding by their sister restaurant, Rajni, and people couldn't stop praising the food as well. There are actually a large number of beautiful photo ops on the premises, we got some great pictures inside and outside and were constantly impressed with the landscaping and upkeep of the palace. read more

I remember this place when it was the "Dew Drop INN", during the days of Disco. However it seems to have evolved as years went by, since entertainment was limited in the Victory Gardens area. Dover was always the big town, with many Hispanic eatery's. This however is a very pleasant evolution. The Chefs really have a great handle on Indian Asian food. The host make you feel very comfortable, even as a first timer you will find it hard to leave the atmosphere or food. Go there if you have a desire for the far east. read more

"Simply Awesome" and "Best place and experience ever" are the 2 least categories I can put this banquet hall under. I had my family's baby shower event here on the first floor (brand new space newly opened) and not only was the hall phenomenal, but the food was extremely delicious. The servers were extremely humble and courteous that I just cannot compare them to any other places in the entire NJ. Sankalp - who heads this as the owner, is one down to earth person who personally took care of some of our special guests and he made everyone feel comfortable. We had 1 guest who is pure Jain and would not have our regular food. Sankalp found this out and without even letting us know, went in the kitchen and asked his Chef to make special Jain food for just 1 guest of ours. I found this out after the event was over. This just tells me the great hospitality he provided to all our guests. I had about 120 people and almost every individual praised this place and the food. This speaks for itself without much said. I would truly recommend this place to everyone. Sankalp is truly a great person who took care of all our needs, was extremely polite and humble and my entire event was just a blast and it could not have been possible without his help and support. Thank you Sankalp and your entire staff members, you all have been phenomenal. Once again, I would recommend this place for all your needs as he has an extremely large hall on the 2nd floor. Excellent food, when you can get it. We love ordering in from Ashirwad but have a difficult time figuring out when the kitchen is actually open for take-out orders. Ashirwad does a lot of banquets and catering, and sometimes the kitchen is closed for the entire evening so it can be used for a banquet or a party held on the premises. Except there's no way for anyone to know that until you call the restaurant hoping to order out and are sadly informed that the kitchen is closed. Maybe management can post their banquet/catering schedule ahead of time on the website to allow for better planning on customers' part? Just a suggestion. As far as the food is concerned, Ashirwad hits it out of the park each time. The chili chicken and the manchurian are ridiculously good, and you can write home to momma about the hakka noodles. The food is cooked fresh when you place the order, so be prepared to wait a bit before your order is ready. The naans are just perfect, the correct level of doughy-ness and always hot when we have them with the meal at home. The kitchen will vary the level of spice according to your needs, so definitely tell them upfront if you want something mild. I haven't had good Indian Chinese food like Ashirwad does it in a long long time! This is as good as it gets outside of India!! read more

I recently went here and all I can say that it was an amazing experience. The restaurant/lounge looks phenomenal and the service is amazing. I went there on a Friday night for dinner and the food was great. The variety of dishes and fusion of Indian and Chinese was something that no other restaurant can offer.As the night moved on, the crowd filled up and the restaurant converted into a lounge. The music was great and my group had a great time. One suggestion for drinks I can make is that the Martini's are made exceptionally well, and can not be compared to any local lounge. Where to begin! From the very beginning with our wedding journey with Aashirwaad, we have not received anything but the best customer service from them. We worked with Sankalp from the beginning until the end. It turned out to be a longer journey due to Covid but through it all, not once did Sankalp give us a hard time with anything. He was patient and flexible with us, always making sure we got what we wanted and needed was always his priority. No matter what we bugged him about, he always made sure that our questions were answered and did what he could to fulfill our requests, and always happy to do so. Apart from great customer service, the food was just amazing. He was working with a foodie so he got a lot of interesting requests from my husband and Sankalp just made it happen. Excellent location for picture taking in the side garden. Awesome big hall. The food quality and taste was out of this world. Service above par. Sam and Manish Gupta were amazing help all around. Sam helped us pick the perfect menu blend of veg and non veg food. The bar service and drinks were perfect. I will go there in a heart beat for any additional functions. One more note.
