My fiancé usually uses Bouqs any time he orders flowers for me, but I wanted to give the business to a local florist that I've always adored, (as with the pandemic so many local businesses have been overwhelmed and struggling). Angela, the owner of Floriography put together a stunning masterpiece of a bouquet full of peonies, ranunculus, anemones, blush roses and snapdragons. Peonies are one of my favorite flowers and the peonies that Angela used were just so fresh and full. The color scheme of the bouquet was so pretty and delicate--beautifully balanced pink and peach hues. I am still marveling at it days later! Chris at Floriography SAVED MOTHER'S DAY! Initially, I ordered flowers from ProFlowers (DON'T DO THAT!!!). On Friday night, I received an email that Proflowers wasn't able to deliver my flowers and were issuing a refund. It was 11 pm and I needed to replace them ASAP and find a place to deliver for Mother's Day. So many florists were either closed, down staff, and/or without flowers. I found Floriography on YELP and called and spoke with Chris Saturday afternoon. He was nice, professional, told me that he and his wife owned the florist and agreed to deliver flowers for Sunday (Mother's Day) 22 miles away. There was no extra charge for the delivery and the bouquet was not the typical crazy high Mother's Day pricing. THE FLOWERS WERE GORGEOUS!!! Calla Lillies, Peonies, Roses, and more. Spring colors, super fresh, in a nice vase, and contactless delivery with a smile. It makes such a difference to deal with an owner of a business that genuinely appreciates your business. The reason I chose floriography and Angela as my florist was because on the initial meeting she was very visual and I felt extremely comfortable. I could tell she understood my vision and the color scheme and style! I was planning on using this florist for my wedding and worked with a woman named Donna who was very nice. A few months later I tried to go back and make final arrangements and the owner was extremely rude and told me the woman I was working with quit and began to bad mouth her. She was extremely unprofessional. I went somewhere else my venue suggested and was very happy. Angela was seriously a wedding day dream come true. My wedding was this past April 8th. I had a vision and she met it above and beyond. I envisioned lanterns and smaller floral arrangements as my center pieces and instead of me having to go out and buy the lanterns on my own, Angela was able to rent out the lanterns from her shop to me (at an extremely reasonable rate) and that was one less thing I had to worry about getting myself. The candle lighting of the lanterns provided such a beautiful ambiance and the gerber daisys in smaller vases surrounding them were so magical and springy. She stayed until my ceremony ended and worked so quickly with the staff to get the tables set up for the reception (during cocktail hour). Everything looked perfect and more than I even could have hoped. My guests were approaching me all night saying how beautiful the room was and how amazing the transformation was from ceremony to reception. The bouquets, boutonnieres and corsages were PERFECT. I really can't say enough about them. She only used the freshest calla lilies and roses. She guided me leading up to the wedding which colors would go best with my theme and for the wedding party and myself. She truly has an eye for art and all things beautiful. I cannot recommend Angela and her team enough. She has a true talent and her vision is matchless. Not to mention very reasonable prices. Where do I begin..... Between missed appointments and lack of communication.. She made my wedding day so much more stressful then it needed to be. She not only accused me of not having things in the contract but then decided not to deliver them until my wedding planner pulled up the contract and found that they WERE IN THE CONTRACT. She then accused us of misplacing a boutonniere for one of my groomsmen and when I offered to pay her for a new one since it was no where to be found, just please bring a new one, she did not. Therefore, obviously she doesn't care about her costumers. Also, when she missed one of our appointments, she offered to give me my bouqet for free, which she did but then cut corners else where. She half fast did my gazebo, even after we went over pictures for months about what i wanted. The gazebo was half done and when I asked for her to come back and finish it and I would even write out a check at this point I just wanted what I asked and already paid for, she said no and just put greens around the one part. I then paid to have flowers along an arch way in the reception area, she even did a mock up. There was not one flower, it was just all green and they were falling apart and on to people as they walked under the arch. I also sent her a picture of what flowers I wanted on my cake, she sent three little roses.. I could seriously go on. She also charged $30 per pumpkin, just please look at the pictures I will add to see how small these "30$" pumpkins were. I made no demands of Angela- only to return a personal item that she used. If there was to be a plan for return other than from her, she should have acknowledged this as weddings are her business- make it your business to advise a new bride & groom how your "routine" goes. Furthermore, should there have been the right amount of centerpieces, the appropriate arrangement, a toss bouquet all according to your contract- sent 10 days before our wedding and completely drawn BY YOU, which we agreed upon, then you would not have felt the need to return money to us. You had to create a centerpiece last minute which was different than the others. I stand by my review that you failed to stick with your contract. YOUR CONTRACT, YOUR DRAWINGS OF OUR ARRANGEMENTS, ALL AGREED 10 DAYS PRIOR TO OUR WEDDING. Bad business deal, poor customer service. Your referred vendor advised us to get our money back because they did not want to be associated with bad business. You failed to stick with the contract that you created and caused undue stress. Period. Future brides be warned that Floriography does not follow the contract they create and that if you provide them with personal affects, do not expect them to be returned by them; you must make your own arrangements to track your belongings down. read more

She provided hand made drawings of the vision she created for our day along with additional decorations (flowers for our wedding cake, sweetheart table, and burlap and lace runners) and vases for the church, cocktail hour and reception. We decided to go with our own centerpieces to save some and she did not pressure us at all. Im glad that I did not go with this florists services. I first met Angela at a showcase and discussed details of what I wanted at my venue. She then went on how she had serviced over 25 weddings at the site of where my wedding was to take place. She made me feel comfortable as she seemed to have some years of experience so I decided to follow up with her on a video chat for a consultation. I felt a little rushed during the consultation, and I felt she just kept trying to upsell me on everything. She then asked me to email her all the details of what I needed to which I did, and no response. I followed up, and still no response. She could have simply responded saying she was unavailable, it only takes seconds. Angela is very unprofessional and Im glad that in the end it didn't work out. If you can't handle to respond a simple message, how should one expect you to trust them on one of their most important days of their life. It took me a while to post this review because my husband and I admired Angela's ambition in starting-up her own business. Floriography did a great job with our centerpieces and boutonnieres, but failed to deliver other items as agreed upon. 1. We emailed Angela an exact picture of what we liked for the cake decoration. She responded to the email, telling us that it would not be a problem. The wedding cake was ultimately decorated with plastic white pearls instead of the flowers shown in the picture. 2. For the bride bouquet, we agreed upon simple and small ivory flowers surrounded by green ivy leaves to contrast with the ivory wedding dress. My bouquet was created without the ivy leaves and can barely be seen in the wedding pictures. 3. The wrist corsages for our mothers could not be worn because they were too tight. After the wedding, we contacted Angela to inquire about the un-communicated changes and to request a small reimbursement for the items that were not delivered as agreed upon. She told us that reimbursements were never issued and that the design of the cake and bouquet were changed because of "personal artistic decisions." This conversation with her left us completely dissatisfied with our experience with Floriography regardless of how beautiful our centerpieces were created. We are still left wondering how a florist can make an artistic decision to decorate a cake without flowers. Angela's work in creating what we asked for was beautiful and flawless. The alterations she made to the other deliverables (without communicating them) were way out of sync with our tastes. Why would that be ok? Just to be clear - if this were solely about money and reimbursements, we would have requested a price reduction when finalizing the bouquets (but after the price quote) we switched from orchids to less expensive hydrangeas. We want others to know both the good and bad in working with Floriography, and for Floriography to learn from this feedback and provide good services to clients. read more

I never had an opportunity to use this florists services. My experience with her was from a year and a half ago so hopefully the company has improved their service. I met the owner of this business at a bridal show and had a great conversation with her. I discussed all the details of what I wanted and she seemed very receptive. Shortly thereafter I emailed her asking to schedule a date and time when she was available for a consultation. She told me to call her. I left her a couple of messages and followed up with an email to no avail. She never responded to my attempts to contact her--not even to say she was unavailable or not taking new clients. Inevitably I secured the services of another florist. I emailed her to tell her that I thought it was unprofessional to ignore customers inquiring about your services and that I secured another florist. She immediately responded to me by saying, "thanks." I hope that is not a regular practice of hers, and she has changed since my contact with her. read more

Angela, the owner of floriography, is simply amazingly talented and is priced extremely reasonable!!! She was the only florist we went to and what sold us was that she does the picture board!! I can't remember exactly what it's called but when you first meet her and talk about what you're looking for etc., she draws it by hand (although now she uses a computer program to help draw it to be faster) and it includes your centerpiece and all the bouquets so that you get an idea as to what it will look like!! It's so cool to be able to see it before hand and I don't know of other florist that do that as I did see some at other bridal shows who don't do that. Additionally, she will put together a centerpiece for you with the real flowers for a demo so that you can see what it will be at no cost to you! She was very easy to work with and so helpful! The day of the wedding, all flowers and bouquets everywhere came out even more gorgeous than I could've imagined!! I met with Angela a year before our wedding. I thought her price was fair so I decided to go ahead and book her for our special day. I thought things were strange when she was not available to discuss flowers and to go over everything on the day. Well the day came and 2 ladies came to deliver a box of flowers. Needless to say, she was missing several boutonnieres including both of our dads, and the ring bearer. My moms bouquet was DEAD upon arrival and mine was already falling apart. My flower girls flower balls were so small, and my bridesmaid bouquets were already breaking. The hair and makeup ladies even commented they were some of the worst looking flowers they have ever seen. I called Angela and she did her best to replace what she had, but everything still was not up to par. She also forgot a toss bouquet as well. I called her the next day to tell her that everything was unacceptable and she emailed me back blaming her distributer. Well....thats not my problem that your distributer did not work well.
