Great little drive thru right off highway 121. It's the cutest little shack. The owners live on the property. Tbe breakfast burritos are tasty and very inexpensive. You can customize your order however you like. Great stop for a road trip.

actually not a house at all, more like a driveway leading to a small red shack about 100 feet off the highway.

Went on 1.4.24. I saw on the map that this place was in the middle of nowhere, so I was a tad…read moreworried. But it was great! And actually, it's not in the middle of "nowhere" so much as lots of rural houses but no other restaurants. Also, there's no proper bathroom, just a porta potty. *But* that was the only downside. And the restaurant was so bright and nice. I'm sure they've done all they can with a limited location/budget. Besides the main restaurant, there's a food truck next door, and I think it's all really the same owners. The latter has desserts (I got the arroz con leche), hamburgers, et al. I think they have daily specials? There was a sign in the back, but partially blocked. Like, Wed is chili relleno, Thu enchiladas, Fri fish tacos, Sat/Sun menudo? You can ask. The waitress was very friendly and competent, and I felt her English was pretty good. But I still ended up just googling some of the menu for my own understanding. When I learned they had cabeza tacos, I had to try that. If I had the room, I'd have tried the "bombapal" which looks like a lot of nopal and a lot of food overall. Curious! From FB, I saw they had a tortilla soup today ($9.80). The waitress said it was good, so I ordered it. She was right! It was really tasty. Also, she put two salsa bottles on the table, and she said one was hot, and the other was really hot ... but that they were both really hot. Lol. She was right! They were both distinct and had a very good kick. For a "hole-in-the-wall" Mexican place, this had really nice lighting and ambience (except for no indoor toilet). Everything was clean and bright. I'm curious to try all their other authentic dishes!

The food is good but the servers do not have a friendly or welcoming attitude. Yes, this is a food…read moretruck establishment but does have some seating inside the shack and picnic tables with umbrellas that do not work outside. The picnic tables are under trees, willow tree, that was bothersome. Go to the restroom before you head over there bc the only facility is a port o'potty. There are a lot of ants so some pest control would be a good idea.

We discovered Arroyo's on our drive back to Dallas. So glad we stopped here instead of eating at a…read morechain restaurant. The food was very good! We ordered beef tacos and chicken fajitas, and they were well seasoned and delicious. Service was attentive, and the restaurant was clean with a mix of tables and comfortable booths. We liked the appealing decor and dim lighting along with the charm of the old building's exposed brick walls. We especially loved that we were each served a small complimentary cup of chile con queso along with warm tortilla chips and (outstanding) salsa. Hope we're close enough to go back sometime soon!

When we walked in, no one acknowledged us even though there was literally no one else dining inside, but we went in and sat at a table anyway. A few minutes later a gentleman came to our table & asked if we wanted any drinks. He brought our drinks and went to get us chips, salsa, and queso (that was the best part of the experience!) All three of us ordered dishes with chicken in them. My mom's quesadilla and my salad had chicken that was badly burned. My husband's shredded chicken on his chimichanga was fine, but the chimichanga had a clump of cheese on one end, and no cheese anywhere else in the chimichanga. At a time when we're all doing what we can to try to stretch our hard-earned dollar, we certainly will not be back to Arroyos anytime soon!
