The bar tender was great. The bar and where you played slots was very clean. I would recommend it to anyone.

We were in town to see a performance at the Vince Carney Community Theater, and found Acres Bistro…read morethanks to Yelp. Other than having to deal with a freight train that stopped on the tracks right as we were trying to get to the restaurant from the theater, and having to go way out to the west end of town to get around it, everything about our experience was superb! I'm pretty sure we were seated by the owner, who was amazing to talk to. You could tell she loved what she did and what they provide to their customers. She put us in the charge of the bartender, who brought our drinks, took our orders, and checked on us regularly throughout the meal, even though she was doing double duty. We had a large lunch, so we weren't going to eat much for dinner. As soon as I read the menu I realized I was going to have a hard time deciding, but I love cinnamon ice cream, so I knew I needed to leave enough room for dessert. I ended up ordering the grilled cheese, which came with bacon (hold the tomato), and the homemade chips as my side. Everything was delicious. I brought half of my meal home, and it was just as delicious when reheated with my air fryer a few days later. My husband had the Acres Pretzel, which was huge and yummy. (I had a bite to try it!) The cheese sauce with it was thinner than expected, but very good. We started out with a Manhattan for me and some Lena Brewing caramel pecan coffee stout for him. Mine was perfectly crafted, and I took a sip of his, which was also yummy. In addition to my cinnamon ice cream, we each had a dessert drink. He had the Chocolate Caramel Kiss, and I had the Banana Bread. Again, very yummy. The cost of all of this came to under $75, which we thought was marvelous. Coming out from the city, the prices here are definitely more reasonable and much appreciated! We have this restaurant on our radar now, so anytime we are out this way again, we will head there. We are already making plans to come out and see a show next summer, if not before that. To the owner and all the other staff, thanks for such a lovely experience! You have a wonderful establishment!

The entrance is a little hard to find as you have to walk thru a small boutique store to enter the restaurant. Fortunately for us,a nice lady who worked in the store came out and took us to the restaurant. I believe they are all owned by the same person We were lucky enough to get a table on their ekevated patio that overlook the alley garden. Alyssa was our server and was super helpful and friendly. My wife started with their Lemon Lavender Gin Spritz which was one of the many crafted cocktails they offer. I had a nice white wine blend that was suggested off their extensive wine list. We shared the Bruschetta Burrata with toast on the side as my wife is Gluten free. Super fresh and very tasty. They offer many made from scratch sandwiches and entrees along with a few daily specials A real hidden gem located in Rochelle on Lincoln Highway.

Lord, where to start…read more... The reviews were mixed at best, but we haven't been here in a while so we figured we'd give it another chance. Walking in and seeing new trim around the windows - okay, good sign. Also seeing a paint can on a table....? Okay, not a good sign. We decided to try this place again because we saw a sizzling steak on their roadside reader board as we drove back into town from the south. The last few times we went here, it was sandwiches only, so maybe the new owners were moving to the next level? Inside, you see a sign Salt 7. The bill reads C.C.S. Golf LLC. The menu - Salt 251. Confused yet? We ordered their Lobster Dip Appetizer. The photo only shows half of it. My wife said "I couldn't find any Lobster in it." Neither could I. It was tasty, but if you say Lobster Dip, shouldn't you find some Lobster in it? From there, we waited. And waited. And waited. And finally, the waitress / bartender who was working the restaurant by herself (while the two owners were doing something else) stopped by and took our drink and entrée orders. For drinks, I ordered a Manhattan, and my wife ordered a Gin Martini. The combination waitress / bartender admitted she had to look that one up. Both drinks were okay, I've had better Manhattans. For entrees, my wife ordered their Grilled Shrimp Scampi and I had their 8 ounce Garlic Sirloin. This took a fair amount of time, around 20 minutes to plate. Both dishes came with a nice, fresh salad, with dressing in a small cup on the side. Given the size of the salad, they needed to provide more dressing. I was scraping the rest of it out of the small plastic serving cup. On to the entrees: Shrimp Scampi That's a pretty regular dish - grilled shrimp sautéed in butter, garlic and white wine and served in that sauce. The grilled shrimp was there with some seasoning, but the rest which makes it Scampi wasn't there. Plus, the fresh vegetables were in a teriyaki sauce, which was sweet and of course didn't blend well with the Shrimp and it's seasoning. It came with a baked potato that my wife said "It must have had a bad spot - a chunk was missing. Whaaaaatttt? Never had that in all the baked potatoes we have had. Not a good first. I was there for the steak, so I ordered their 8 ounce garlic sirloin, medium rare. That should be a warm, red center. I could see the garlic on the sirloin - but the steak was well-done. Gray, hot, chewy (chewy chewy), and I had to use steak sauce to make it palatable. Now two people who we think were the owners come by (they didn't introduce themselves) and ask is everything okay, of course we do what everyone does, we fib - yes, everything's fine. They apparently don't watch Bar Rescue - their combination bartender / waitress could have used some help serving or covering the bar, but nope, she didn't get any help. She didn't complain, she just did her best. I did order their Tuxedo Bomb Dessert, which was actually pretty good. A slice of chocolate cake, covered with chocolate mousse, covered with vanilla mousse, with a chocolate coating drizzled in vanilla icing with some whipped cream. It was the best part of the dinner. Of course, I failed to get a picture of that. Argh.

When we got there, we were surprised at how big the place was! We sat in a private room with drinks as we spoke about the rehearsal, went over menu ideas, etc. Then, it was time to eat! Unfortunately they were out of the Pretzel Bites, but they offered to put a side of the beer cheese with the White Fish Bites. We also ordered the Truffle Fries (which were some of the BEST we've ever had!!) We both ordered burgers, which were pretty good. I ordered the Pit Master, which was actually a little too spicy for me. However, we traded (my fiancé got the Roadhouse) and it was delish. They've been super accommodating and we can't wait to have our rehearsal dinner here in a few weeks!

It has fun cocktails and food along with some vegetarian friendly things. A lot about aviation to look at if wanting to read about it. The prices are okay in lighter items if looking to save calories and money. Best reason to go to the airport in town because there's not much else. It's located inside the entrance to the terminal or whatever building it is. The building is actually pretty small making it easy to find the bar and restaurant. Get cheap cocktails. It's $6 to get the Tito's Punch. Entrees are kind of pricy to be honest. It's about $9 for the Garden Salad. Has the basic toppings in it. Spend a few bucks more to put on the vegetarian chicken strips. Among the rest of the menu it's pretty meaty. There's chicken sandwiches and wraps among other things. For sure it's great if you like aviation. It's closed Mondays and only open for breakfast and lunch Sundays. They're open longer the rest of the week.

The place was deserted - there was one couple here but they were waiting for their pizza. The dining room (see the pictures) has a TV on the east end. The tables and chairs were comfortable. They seem to get a lot of carry out business. We ordered an Aldo's Special Pizza, with spinach substituted for bacon. The pizza came out nice and piping hot after around 20 minutes. The toppings were fresh and tasty. The crust was a little dry, but it was okay. There was oregano present on the pizza. I swear all the pizza places in Rochelle that aren't chains except for this one think oregano is unavailable or something, but along with a little fennel, it really makes pizza better. Our drink glasses stayed filled - we stuck with soft drinks tonight, and water.

No problem. 20 minutes pass and still waiting. I go up to front counter and ask what's taking so long. Supposedly a party group came in and ordered a bunch of pizzas after my order. ( they take precedence I guess). 45 minutes later I get the order. Talked to Aldo and straightened things out with a 7 dollars off my order. That wasn't offered (was my suggestion for having to wait so long) with no apologies for the long wait. No communication was given by front staff that the order would take so long. I was upset at this point. Aldo must of been at the bar having a few by his demeanor. I get the pizzas home and open them. One pizza was thinner than a graham cracker. The pizza wasn't fully cooked so the hot melted cheese made the cracker crust soggy. Grossest pizza I ever had. I called up to talk to Aldo after a 10 minute wait on the phone. Front end needs proper training in customer service, attitude, and communication with its customers. Aldo said what can I do to make it right. I asked him what would you do if this happened to you? He said you don't want to go there. I suggested the pizza should be free at this point for such a horrible service. He ended up laughing and hung the phone up on me. I've been a customer of this establishment for over 25 years and this is how you treat a loyal customer? Beyond bad. Aldo, it's time to hang your boots up and give full ownership to your son and retire. 0- stars You lost a loyal customer.
