A friend and I decided to visit this place for dinner. We arrived at around 7 p.m. and there was about 10 people at the bar. A sign said "seat yourself", so we chose a location in the corner, far from the bar. We were the sole table and the bartender was also waiting tables in the dining room. After 15 minutes of waiting to be greeted, she came to our table and sincerely apologized for not noticing us. A couple of minutes longer and we would have walked out. After a couple months of being open, the restaurant still has a very limited menu. We both ordered cheeseburgers, fries and sodas. While we were waiting for our food, the bar crowd was a little bit loud and rowdy, talking about conversations that you wouldn't want your children to hear. After we placed our order, the food came out relatively quickly and was delicious!! My friend said she would definitely come back for the cheeseburger. Just a few tips to the owner: the entrance being in the back is a bit confusing. There needs to be a sign by the sidewalk instead of a note on the door. You never hear any locals talk about Salt 251. Advertising locally and supporting another local business at the same time could help. The tables right next to the bar make it hard to walk around the bar to the dining room, especially if people are standing near the bar. And if you are going to ask people to seat themselves, make sure the bartender is attentive. An old restaurant across the street used to have similar issues and now is permanently closed. The decor and bar area is very nice! Hopefully the above improvements are made and this local business stays in operation for a long time!

Other than having to deal with a freight train that stopped on the tracks right as we were trying to get to the restaurant from the theater, and having to go way out to the west end of town to get around it, everything about our experience was superb! I'm pretty sure we were seated by the owner, who was amazing to talk to. You could tell she loved what she did and what they provide to their customers. She put us in the charge of the bartender, who brought our drinks, took our orders, and checked on us regularly throughout the meal, even though she was doing double duty. We had a large lunch, so we weren't going to eat much for dinner. As soon as I read the menu I realized I was going to have a hard time deciding, but I love cinnamon ice cream, so I knew I needed to leave enough room for dessert. I ended up ordering the grilled cheese, which came with bacon (hold the tomato), and the homemade chips as my side. Everything was delicious. I brought half of my meal home, and it was just as delicious when reheated with my air fryer a few days later. My husband had the Acres Pretzel, which was huge and yummy. (I had a bite to try it!) The cheese sauce with it was thinner than expected, but very good. We started out with a Manhattan for me and some Lena Brewing caramel pecan coffee stout for him. Mine was perfectly crafted, and I took a sip of his, which was also yummy. In addition to my cinnamon ice cream, we each had a dessert drink. He had the Chocolate Caramel Kiss, and I had the Banana Bread. Again, very yummy. The cost of all of this came to under $75, which we thought was marvelous. Coming out from the city, the prices here are definitely more reasonable and much appreciated! We have this restaurant on our radar now, so anytime we are out this way again, we will head there. We are already making plans to come out and see a show next summer, if not before that. To the owner and all the other staff, thanks for such a lovely experience! You have a wonderful establishment!

My wife started with their Lemon Lavender Gin Spritz which was one of the many crafted cocktails they offer. I had a nice white wine blend that was suggested off their extensive wine list. We shared the Bruschetta Burrata with toast on the side as my wife is Gluten free. Super fresh and very tasty. They offer many made from scratch sandwiches and entrees along with a few daily specials A real hidden gem located in Rochelle on Lincoln Highway.

It has fun cocktails and food along with some vegetarian friendly things. A lot about aviation to look at if wanting to read about it. The prices are okay in lighter items if looking to save calories and money. Best reason to go to the airport in town because there's not much else. It's located inside the entrance to the terminal or whatever building it is. The building is actually pretty small making it easy to find the bar and restaurant. Get cheap cocktails. It's $6 to get the Tito's Punch. Entrees are kind of pricy to be honest. It's about $9 for the Garden Salad. Has the basic toppings in it. Spend a few bucks more to put on the vegetarian chicken strips. Among the rest of the menu it's pretty meaty. There's chicken sandwiches and wraps among other things. For sure it's great if you like aviation. It's closed Mondays and only open for breakfast and lunch Sundays. They're open longer the rest of the week.

The place was deserted - there was one couple here but they were waiting for their pizza. The dining room (see the pictures) has a TV on the east end. The tables and chairs were comfortable. They seem to get a lot of carry out business. We ordered an Aldo's Special Pizza, with spinach substituted for bacon. The pizza came out nice and piping hot after around 20 minutes. The toppings were fresh and tasty. The crust was a little dry, but it was okay. There was oregano present on the pizza. I swear all the pizza places in Rochelle that aren't chains except for this one think oregano is unavailable or something, but along with a little fennel, it really makes pizza better. Our drink glasses stayed filled - we stuck with soft drinks tonight, and water.

No problem. 20 minutes pass and still waiting. I go up to front counter and ask what's taking so long. Supposedly a party group came in and ordered a bunch of pizzas after my order. ( they take precedence I guess). 45 minutes later I get the order. Talked to Aldo and straightened things out with a 7 dollars off my order. That wasn't offered (was my suggestion for having to wait so long) with no apologies for the long wait. No communication was given by front staff that the order would take so long. I was upset at this point. Aldo must of been at the bar having a few by his demeanor. I get the pizzas home and open them. One pizza was thinner than a graham cracker. The pizza wasn't fully cooked so the hot melted cheese made the cracker crust soggy. Grossest pizza I ever had. I called up to talk to Aldo after a 10 minute wait on the phone. Front end needs proper training in customer service, attitude, and communication with its customers. Aldo said what can I do to make it right. I asked him what would you do if this happened to you? He said you don't want to go there. I suggested the pizza should be free at this point for such a horrible service. He ended up laughing and hung the phone up on me. I've been a customer of this establishment for over 25 years and this is how you treat a loyal customer? Beyond bad. Aldo, it's time to hang your boots up and give full ownership to your son and retire. 0- stars You lost a loyal customer.

We were kind of surprised, because with a name like this one, I thought it was more of a slot machine parlor than anything else. Turns out they have a full bar and kitchen, with hand-held food. We decided to try it out. First off, you get into the parking lot by entering the RP Home and Harvest parking lot off the Route 251 entrance - there is NO other access. We got in around 11:40, and the place was empty - no staff, no customers. After a few minutes, the waitress / bartender walked in carrying a load of beer. She greeted us, and came back a minute later with the menus. We started with fried mushrooms for an appetizer - they did have a Pick 3 appetizer for $14, but there were only two of us, so we went with the mushrooms. They came out hot and fresh from the fryer, and were served with a small plastic container of what tasted like ranch dressing. We both ordered the OG Hopper, which is a smashed patty on a butter brioche bun, served with either fries (which we selected) or tots. You had your choice of toppings (we took them all, which included a slice of sweet pickle) and cheese, American, Cheddar or Pepper Jack. I did Cheddar, the wife selected Pepper Jack. It wasn't long before the burgers came out with the fries. Both were hot and fresh from the grille / fryer. The burgers were okay. The burger was a little small for the bun, but tasted okay and were done a little on the well-side. The fries had a spicy coating. Good overall.
