They offer indoor and outdoor seating so we chose to sit on their patio since it was such a nice June day. They have an extensive cocktail and craft beer list along with burgers, sandwiches, tacos, bowls, salads and BBQ. My wife had the Rodeo Burger on a GF bun which was loaded with pulled pork, bbq sauce and pepper jack cheese. The burger was huge and came with a side of slaw. I had to try their Trash Can Fries which were topped with Monterey Jack cheese sauce, pulled pork, pico and jalapenos. Absolutely delicious. They offer Daily Specials and are also known for their Chicken George which I have to try on my next visit. Plenty of parking and great for larger groups as well.

Our server did a great job of explaining gluten free options for me with a little help from the manager. When he suggested how he could modify the Rodeo Burger I was sold. It was packed with flavor and huge amount of pulled pork. I had Cole slaw as my side but there are many sides to choose. My husband ordered the Trash Can fries and they too came loaded with smokey, tender pulled pork. I would definitely return when in the area again.

Wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but I gave it a try. I had biscuits and gravy, American fries, and corn beef hash. Pros: + Biscuits and gravy were solid and it wasn't cheap on the gravy , sometimes places get a little cheap on the meat. It was satisfying. + The American Fries were pretty great after just a little salt. Cooked just the way I like it. + For a side of the road diner, this place was very well kept and clean on the inside. I could tell it was important to the staff. + Benny's is deceptive large with ample seating, and can handle larger groups with a back room. Parking lot was pretty big too. + Something about the atmosphere here. The staff and customers here were easily 90% on a first name basis on a Saturday morning. Very relaxed and casual atmosphere. Very old school. Cons: - Speaking of old school, NO credit or debit card use as of the date of this review. They post a sign for this right on the door. It isn't an issue for me personally, but it can be for potential diners in 2024. - The corned beef hash was a miss for me, but I don't know if it was the establishment or if I'm the problem. I've just been used to eating Hormel corned beef hash a specific way for 30 years, and maybe it wasn't what I expected. Regardless, while worth mentioning this does not factor in my review. Bottom Line: This would easily be a frequent stop if I was a local. Small diners like this are a dime a dozen in the United States. They all have very similar menus and ambience, but it is a question of execution that separates them. Typically the credit card thing would bump down to a 4, but I have a lot of respect for this place and atmosphere, so I side with the locals and go with the 5 stars.

I wish they would make homemade onion rings and take cards but those are my only suggestions. Great value at a great price.

Family friendly, good service, and the usual kitsch decorations. I ordered their Cinnamon Roll Pancake. I asked the waitress how large they were - they were LARGE, so I only ordered one. Good call. My wife had their veggie omelet, which came with tomato, onion, green pepper and mushrooms. It came with hash browns and toast. I ordered a side of sausage patties. The sausage patty was large too - it looked like a hamburger (but obviously wasn't). The Cinnamon Roll Pancake was exactly as described - the waitress offered to bring out maple syrup, but said most people didn't use it so I passed on that (and didn't need it). My wife enjoyed her omelet. I had a root beer (I know, but it was lunch time in my weak defense) and my wife went with the coffee. She said she didn't like the coffee - she isn't one who goes for the fancy coffee - we don't have a Keurig or Nespresso machine - just a plain old Mr. Coffee Jr at home, and if she didn't like the coffee, that says something to me. Service was very prompt from the moment we were greeted at the door until we left. The mens room was clean. The deodorizer in the urinal needed to be changed - it was completely exhausted.

This little casual place is right along the Rock River out in the middle of the countryside. The gravel parking was plentiful but chaotic. There is also a boat dock if you want to. This is a cash only establishment, we did not know this when we decided to go, but luckily, it wasn't a problem for us this evening. There was live music being played with several people dancing to it. As I mentioned, you may dine inside or outside on the patio under umbrellas at picnic tables. We were unclear if you ordered at the table or inside, but eventually, a waitress came out and said you could order at the table or order inside, and they would bring it out. Our server was outstanding. She had many tables and did fantastic making sure everyone was well taken care of. The menu was pretty varied, and everything that was ordered at our table was enjoyed by those who ordered it. We started with drinks and an appetizer platter, they were both very good. The burger was very good and served with your choice of toppings and sides. we ordered the fresh fruit, and it didn't disappoint as it was fresh and cold. Someone ordered a chicken wrap. It was very good with unique flavors. We ordered the beef taco salad and it didn't disappoint. We will definitely go back and try a couple of the other things on the menu.

My first observation was that this place has been here for some time. It did not have curb appeal, but then again it wasn't on a real estate listing. I decided to hold back on my judgement on establishment which I am glad I did and encourage first timers to give it a chance. As our evening continued I ventured into the bar and was nicely suprised. The inside was nice and cool, the servers were busy keeping up with the demand and the band filled up the entire parking area and got the crowxwound up. It did not take long to get people on thier feet and dancing. I met the owner, he was a nice guy named Knutson we spoke for a few minutes and I came to the conclusion that he loved his business and the patrons. It showed through by the size of the crowd and the obvious client base present ranging in age from 3 - 90 all in all a wonderful evening and fun was had by all, after all its a bar more than a fancy resteraunt. Thank you to the band for excellent music, thank you to the crowd who were all very friendly, and thank you to the owner for my excellent rum bucket and making us feel welcome.
