I feel meh about this pumpkin patch. My friends and I arrived here right when it opened but a lot of the stalls weren't opened yet. The animal barn was just kinda sad and the U-Pick pumpkin patch was kind of a let down. They basically laid out pumpkins on an area of dirt for you to pick through. The lines for the hay rides to and from the pumpkin patch were kinda long. The stand out parts were the corn maze and the apple cider donuts. Please do yourself a favor and get some scales for your pumpkins. You have employees eye balling and guessing weights. I overpaid today by more than $20, I can tell you that. Pumpkins were no more then 10-12 pounds each and we were told on check out that we had to pay $40 (we had 3). 0-15 lbs is supposed to be $5. We also brought 2 pumpkins into the general shopping area from the patch (where you pick your own) and were accused of not paying. They stop you when you get off the hayride and make you pay. Oh My Gourd! This place was awesome. I recommend getting there early just before 10 because that's when the coffee place opens and once 10 rolls around the line starts to grow. We then went to the maze and then got in line for the hay ride. Again try to get in the hay ride line early because that thing will grow pretty long throughout the day. The market has some really amazing finds too! My girlfriend got an elephant ear and she said it was just what she needed haha whatever that means. Bathrooms are plentiful and the staff makes sure that the grounds stay clean and safe. A must visit! read more

This place is awesome! First time here and we were surprised at how much is offered! It's open June-October. There's a corn maze, gift shop, coffee truck, café to order food, barn with animals to see and pet, and rather large indoor produce stand! There's also an area for u-cut flowers! The vendor barn wasn't open while we were there...doesn't open until the last week of September. I definitely recommend this place. It doesn't have a circus type of energy to it. Went to the competitors last year and that was way too much chaos for me. The Pumpkin Patch has been around since 1967, you could feel the family owned energy as you interact with people working there. Their prices are fair, they have a marketplace, food, coffee, hayride, a huge pumpkin patch, animals in the barn, corn maze, lots of photo op scenery, and parking. They don't serve alcohol which is a plus if you have young ones with you, and just want a serene place to enjoy. They accept cash, credit or debit. I've been to a handful of other patches but we love this one the most due to fair prices, amazing food (their burgers are SO good) and the fact that there is no admission fee to get in. It can get very busy on weekends in October but we enjoy large crowds so it works for us. read more

I admit I've never picked/purchased a pumpkin here, but that aside, if you're willing to go out to Sauvie Island, it's a pretty GREAT PLACE to do a ton of U-Pick fruits!!! Blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, peaches, marionberries, and even veggies are all available during their respective season....U-pick prices are competitive with other farms in the area, and they have a nice big barn full of pre-picked, fresh, mostly-local fruits and veggies for those that don't want to venture out and experience the joy of working the land and picking what you eat. Oh yeah, and in case you didn't plan ahead and bring your own u-pick boxes, they usually have free ones, as well as newer/fancier boxes for purchase. I did the corn maze a couple years ago and it was pretty fun, but it's not enough to compel me to go every year. I at least recommend you do it and/or take your kids at least once if you've never been before. Come here for U-Pick stuff and I doubt you'll regret it. This is a great place for the kids and family. They have expanded the parking lot so expect large crowds and a walk. They have pumpkins of course and so much more. I called one of the other farms that allow U-pich, and it was the same price as these cukes per pound...only organic with no pesticides... This was my first year attending this specific pumpkin patch. Granted it's under Covid-19. So the parking was alright. Lots of people but definitely enough spaces. As you park you'll see a section of random grocery carts... those are for you to use to carry pumpkins to your car... I would recommend wheel barrows... it looked semi ghetto. There was the area that had about 5 spots for elephant ears, kettle corn, pulled pork, hot dog sausages & one other I forget but the pulled pork and hot dog one was closed... which caused the others to have long lines- kinda disappointing due to the fact that we wanted lunch food not just junk... oh the 5th was caramel apples. There was a patio cafe which the line there was massive due to it served all the real foods: burgers, hot dogs, beer, drinks & all the other goods. We waited in that line for ages. The food was relatively decent. I recommend the turkey panini & the hot dogs are good: all beef. Drinks are pretty cheap. I think I gave this place a low rating was based on the lack of things open for a busy day! I was with a group of 10 people. 7 kids and 3 adults. Water wasn't the same price... in the Maze they charged us more for water. The pumpkins that you "pick" were really haggard. Moldy, mushy, not cute and the field was really dry... also if you have to go to the bathroom you'd better do it before because there was no outhouse out there which is odd since people are out there... hay ride is ok. There wasn't any direction so people would get on and try to take it up and not let others on- and the person operating the tractor doesn't really mention anything to say "hey let's make more room." Even with Covid-19 there was room that wasn't being utilized causing others to wait. Lines were long for a long while for pumpkin patch area, food. The market had great homemade and the staff was friendly and helpful. The Original​ Pumpkin Patch. This is the 50th Anniversary Year and it was a blast. This was my first time at the original pumpkin patch. We took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch, my wife and I got off and walked around the pumpkin field looking at all the different ways a pumpkin will grow. Seeing some good size pumpkins still on the ground. We had fun walking through the giant leaves. We both really liked walking around in the fields today. It was like several dreams i've had. After several selfies, we headed back to the pick up point. Hitched a ride back and met up with our group. We talked about pumpkins and went to see the Barn Animals. There was a furry Alpaca named "Poo Bear". Some adorable Goats. Sheep. Rabbits. A Cow. A Chicken and a couple Peacocks. After all the walking. We all needed food. So many choices. I had a German Sausage on a bun with a 12 oz. soda = $5.50 (????? What? I was just at the St. Fair. That same meal was about 12 bucks. Any who.) Sausage was good. Not greasy. I came back later for a second one. We also had to hit up the farmers market. Glad we did. 8 Ears of Corn $2.00 About 2 and a half pound's of Brussel Sprouts still on the stem $2.99 They had a great variety of pumpkins and gourds. I would have shown you some very cool pumpkins called: Knucklehead Super Freak but my phone died. Look them up. Their cool! My wife and I checked out the second half of the maze. Found the Bridge with the Speaker and looked out over the farm. Such a great view. Don't forget your map. Good golly. Corn is 10 feet tall. Inside. Everything looks the same. I saw some relieved faces at the exits but it is very cool. Especially the overall design. By the road Up front of the Farm is a pick your own garden. Good selection of fresh flowers. Some tables to picnic on if you like. All super cool. After about 4 - 5 hours. We had to go but not before we scored some fresh Kettle Corn and a Carmel Apple. The car seemed so far away on our way back to where we parked but then i remembered... Free Parking. Ya. I had fun! read more

This is the best pumpkin patch I've ever been to. I went with my family on a Sunday afternoon and parking was easy to find. Once you pull up, you'll be greeted with a farmers market in a barn, a petting zoo and a corn maze! We bought apple cider in the market before heading into the corn maze. The corn maze was awesome and took us about 20ish minutes to complete the first part of the maze. It was $8/person which was pretty decent. They do provide cards with trivia questions to help you get through the maze but if you answer wrong, you may end up getting more lost. Once you finish part one, you can go in for part two at no additional charge. Overall, it was a fun maze and I definitely suggest going if you have a little time! On to the pumpkin patch, it was huge! It's a little walk down the gravel road from the parking lot. There's so many pumpkins you can choose from but the only downside is they don't provide a knife of any sort to cut the pumpkin from the roots. So we had to use one of our house keys to help cut the pumpkins from their roots. The pricing of the pumpkins was extremely cheap, it isn't by weight but rather a range (ex. 30+ lbs = $8). We got a total of 4 pumpkins all ranging of weight and it was a total of around $16. This is definitely the best pumpkin patch! read more

I had such a great time at the Pumpkin Patch on Tuesday! I got there at about 9:45, went to the market, looked at the animal barn, got some cheap coffee from the patio cafe, took my client to climb on the free hay pyramid and hay maze, took a free hay bale ride to the pumpkins, chose the best pumpkin, and then went wandering through the corn maze ($8)! All together we were there for about three hours and we both had so much fun! It was nice getting there so early on a weekday because there was hardly anyone else there so the drive and parking were both a breeze. Animals are not well taken care of. So heart wrenching to see. Very lethargic and unhealthy. They are clearly suffering from the effects of isolation and confinement. Animals need socialization, sunlight, fresh air. I urge the owners to please change how these animals are cared for. They are not having their needs met. read more

This is the biggest pumpkin patch I have ever seen. There has been a line of cars getting in as soon as it opens on weekend, and it gets worse through out the day. If you go in October on weekends, go early! The pumpkin patch is free to get in. There were a la carte activity there that charges money. I like that because I am not super interested in corn maze, or a few other staple activities. This way I can choose what I want to do. The Patio cafe is amazing. The line gets crazy and the service is not the fastest, but oh man, the burgers are amazing!!! My one regret is that I didn't get to try the freshly popped kettle corn. The line was too long. Maybe they should figure out some more efficient ordering and laying system. The selection of pumpkin is great. Paying for pumpkin takes a little bit of guess work. Instead of charging per pound like most other patches do, they have 4 prices, less than 10 lb are $3, 10-19 are $5, 20-29 are $7, over 30 is $10. But they don't really weigh it, just eyeballing and give a price. I was charged $10, but my pumpkin was only 27 lb. oh well. I would recommend it. A fun place to visit in October. read more

We've been to a few of the pumpkin patches on Sauvie's and this one is by far the best!!! It's organized, has plenty of parking and amenities. The maize was amaizeing ;) my only complaint would be that dogs are allowed in the maze, we had a horrible event where a large dog growled and lunged as we turned a corner and it's owner wasn't too nice about the incident. Other then that minuscule setback it was an awesome day of tromping through the pumpkin patch ( it's an authentic it's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown kinda pumpkin patch) to find the perfect pumpkin we checked out the farms coffee stand, food court and gift shop, we then headed over to the barn to check out the animals. There are so many photo ops it's ridiculously cute, I'm mean you can even measure the growth of your child in the maze room one Halloween pic a year pretty cute :) Total time spent about 4 hours the corn maze was HUGE the best we've been to. It's best to go early getting on the island gets more and more difficult the closer to Halloween you get and the earlier in the day the better have fun there's so much to do here that one weekend will not be enough. read more

This review is for the Corn Maze (not the haunted maze), and in a word: MUD. First of all, the reason this has two stars, instead of zero stars: The maze is actually challenging, and that's pretty cool. If you see it from the air (check Google Maps satellite), it's a neat shape. The maze itself is so well-designed, challenging, and interesting, I felt that despite our experience being horrid it deserved three stars for the maze itself. I changed my mind once I got home and saw everything that was involved in recovery from our excursion through the corn maze. Two stars it is. Mud. The mud is intense. I see a few other reviews mention it in a lilting, lighthearted manner. This mud will get inside your waterproof boots. Believe the other reviewer who says it will stick to every fiber of you. It will destroy your clothing. The rubbing of wet mud on your skin will cause you blisters. The mud is ankle-deep in places We got this via Groupon. There was no warning about mud at the time of purchase, neither in Groupon's details nor on their website. Today, when I went to use the coupon, aware that it expires tomorrow - there the warning was. "You should be prepared for possibly very muddy conditions with your best pair of rubber boots!" So we were prepared. Everyone else who was prepared left with spatters of mud up their legs over the top of their boots, too. There are two incredible things about this. One, it wasn't even raining. I can't quite comprehend what a miserable time it would've been if it were. Two, there were zero provisions made for dealing with the exceptional amount of mud that each and every person who went through the maze came out with clinging to their person. The best part of the whole experience was the sarcastic comments from other visitors as they, too, traipsed through the mud. They were a laugh riot. "Oh, this is great. This is just the cat's meow." Some had only scant warning about it, and so had brought, say, old shoes. Woefully inadequate for dealing with the mud. There were some long-rendered-useless wood chips that had clearly once been the floor of the maze in an earlier, less rainy time in the season. If we ever go again, it will certainly be around the time that they open, and not post-rain. But it does beg the question of what they could've done to better cover up for the mud - hay, as is on the tent's floor that leads into the maze? More wood chips? Better drainage? The parking lot is a muddy mess, as well - glad we had a four-wheel drive. One more thing: Dogs are allowed, on leashes, into the maze during daylight hours. Yes, the owners are asked to pick up after their dogs. But there is no supervision and dog leavings certainly don't stand out as avoidable in the never ending brown muck that is the floor of this maze. Think on that as you work on wringing the mud out of your shoes and clothes. read more

I probably been going there for the last 3 years. I love how they change the maze. However the trivias that help you through the maze haven't. I vaguely remember them like dejavu. great family time although try not to let your kids run off... you really could get lost in there! Other than maze, they also sell local produce, got festival like foods (elephant ears..etc), petting zoo for little ones, pumpkins, and little cow trains. Lots of fun fall activities. tips for you guys :) * wear rain boots or shoe that you don't care about. even if you go there on a sunny day... the place is either dusty or muddy. * bring cash. most vendors are cash only. they do have atm there. * pups are allowed. :) * during high season (closer to halloween) the traffic can get pretty bad. although you may have to park far, finding a spot isn't a problem. You couldn't ask for a better place to pick berries! The Pumpkin Patch has been our go-to spot for berry picking in the Portland area for 3 years now and it never disappoints. It's a wonderful excuse to visit the beautiful Sauvie Island, and on a sunny summer day it's a perfect escape. If you hit the season just right, you can enjoy blueberries, marionberries and raspberries all at the same time. It's so much fun hopping around the different berry patches. Whilst berry picking, you have the best possible views available to you. Panoramic views of the mountains, from Mt. Ranier all the way to Mt. Hood...it's breathtaking. The snack shack offers some great marionberry lemonade. Don't miss out! Our daughter loves the barn and being able to see the animals, which is an added bonus. What a well run operation. The people working were very helpful and friendly. Special call out to the gray haired guy that helped us with our pumpkins when we cam back on the hay ride, and the woman managing the line for the cow train. Watching the driver of the cow train and the joy on his face as he got the shrieks and giggles from the riders was great. If you don't have tiny tots that need to get bed early, heading out in the late afternoon on the weekends is a perfect time. We got there a little after 4:00 and had the chance to ride the rides and gather the pumpkins, pick flowers climb on the pyramid. Then some dinner and hit the maize at dark. We had so much fun at The Pumpkin Patch. It was just what I needed to get out of a funk. It is a very pretty drive out to the farm. We started our adventure by getting a pumpkin spice latte from the espresso shack. Then we headed over to the gift shop that had fall decor galore. Perfect spot to purchase Christmas presents at reasonable prices. We then went to the U pick pumpkin patch and got a 58 pound pumpkin for only $8. If anyone knows me I HEART me some pumpkins. Pumpkin everything really. This is my favorite time of the year, and every year I HAVE to get over to the Pumpkin Patch. Usually, it's insanely crowded but this time around I was pleasently surprised that the crowd had dwindeled by the time I arrived late afternoon. I cannot give 5 stars however for a couple reasons. 1. You can't take the cart into the pumpkin patch and there are no wheel barrles. WTH! I like to get BIG pumpkins ok, and it's NOT ok to be carrying a 50lb pumpkin a quarter mile to the weigh station. 2. The maze....it's expensive. MEH. 3. I went to cut "fresh" flowers....and I gave up. They were infested with bugs and really not-so-fresh. I may be trying somewhere else in later years. Just a thought for something new. read more
