I returned to celebrate a special milestone, and the hotel made the occasion even more memorable with a thoughtful complimentary bottle of champagne. The property is absolutely stunning, blending historic grandeur with modern luxury. From the breathtaking architecture to the elegant interiors, the hotel exudes timeless sophistication. The bar was a highlight of our stay, offering a beautiful atmosphere and expertly crafted cocktails. We also enjoyed breakfast, which was pleasant and satisfying, although not particularly memorable. The hotel's location is fantastic, with convenient access to many of Washington, D.C.'s attractions. Overall, the Waldorf Astoria continues to impress with its elegance, hospitality, and attention to detail. It remains one of my favorite places to stay in D.C., and I look forward to returning!

Left the hotel feeling super full. I hope to experience another afternoon tea at the Waldorf Astoria!

While this location is sometimes a world away from the Middleburg persona and experience, it still maintains the same austerity and could very well be seen as a muse of the former. This is my favorite place to stay whenever I come to town. The customer service is top notch, and the rooms are what I would consider cozy luxury. The bathrooms are amazing, with their marble facade throughout. If you're lucky to land one with a soaking tub, take advantage and ask for some bath salts to enjoy to your experience. Room service is prompt (and yes, they still offer cookies if you ask!) and really provides shows that they take customer service seriously. The pool and spa are probably the stars of the show in my opinion. The pool is amazing and the oerfect temperature. Great for the kids or for swimming laps. You can even just go and enjoy the view and ambiance. It won't disappoint. As this is a premium property, parking is expensive but you get what you pay for. There is usually a taxi that provides service to the neighboring national mall or to the southwest waterfront, but both are also within walking distance. Definitely make a reservation for Dogon while staying here - it's an epicurean experience you won't want to miss.

They also gave me sparkling apple cider instead of champagne because I don't drink alcohol. They modified some of the food options to ensure that I didn't get any meat and gave us two separate stands so there wasn't any cross-contamination. The food was better than I expected. I enjoyed the smoked salmon and the tart. All the desserts were good, but the cake they gave me for my birthday was the best. Decadent and rich! The teas were flavorful and refreshing. I enjoyed the black currant tea the most. The scone was the most disappointing item because it was very dry. Yuck.

From the moment we arrived, Adeline went far beyond the expected to ensure our Platinum Elite membership was not just acknowledged, but celebrated. Her warmth, professionalism, and genuine desire to make our stay unforgettable reminded us why IHG continues to set the gold standard in hospitality. We've stayed at many IHG properties, but Adeline's attentiveness and care made this experience stand out as one of the best we've ever had. The room itself was immaculate--luxurious yet modern, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a personal retreat. The hotel's ambience, service, and location at The Wharf created the perfect backdrop for a truly memorable visit. If you're considering a stay here, know that you'll be in excellent hands. The suite itself was designed well and with all the amenities you could want, including plenty of closet space, TVs, robes, and even a dental kit. The showers have good water pressure. The hotel itself has a rooftop pool with a beautiful view of the Washington Monument, a gym with plenty of equipment, and a spa. For parking, there's valet or street parking.

Living in a hotel for that long can feel lonely, especially being far from family. This team changed that completely. Mary, the assistant general manager, made sure our stay was the best it could be, and they upgraded us to a bigger suite for our long stay, which made a huge difference. Every day, Keith, Parker, and Jeff on valet waved and said hi as we came and went. Keith even fist-bumped my father-in-law when he visited. At the front desk, Angelina became a real friend to my wife, Angelo kept our packages straight and even found cream cheese when my wife needed it for a recipe, and Mehedi greeted us with a warm good morning every single day. Kateshia took amazing care of our suite. Over at breakfast, Grace kept us laughing and Daisy went out of her way to save Greek yogurt and even a box of corn flakes for my wife's cooking projects. The kicker? After we got home, they mailed us a package of gifts for our baby on the way, including a little Residence Inn onesie. Who does that?! This team does. Great location near the Navy Yard waterfront and Nationals Park, comfortable suites with full kitchens, and a staff that makes it feel like home. Five stars, no question.

The room was spotless, the turndown service was a nice flex, and everything felt polished. The location is clutch--walkable to fun spots and everywhere we needed to be for work. The key-card elevators are sleek, high-tech, and super secure. The restaurant and bar had great energy, and the food hit, but $24 for a drink is unhinged. Overall, a stylish, safe, and seriously fun stay. More details from my review on Google: Rooms: The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The turndown service was a lovely touch, and everything in the room was perfect throughout my stay. Safety: The hotel elevators felt extremely secure and high-tech. Guests must use a key card to access certain levels and floors, which added an extra layer of safety and peace of mind. It's a great security feature and made me feel very comfortable during our stay. Walkability: The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of plenty of things to do, as well as the locations I needed to access for work. The location made my stay easy and convenient. Food & drinks: The hotel restaurant and bar had a nice atmosphere, and the food was good, but everything felt extremely overpriced. Charging $24 for one drink is absurd. I enjoyed the experience overall, but the prices make it difficult to recommend. Noteworthy details: From the moment I arrived, I was treated like a regular. The staff made me feel genuinely welcome and at home-never like an outsider in an exclusive club. Their warm, down-to-earth hospitality made the experience truly special.
