I have gotten in the habit over the recent years to get fruit or vegetables instead of potato in restaurants. Thus far I had been successful in not being tempted to stop in here for one of their assumedly calorie-laden concoctions. But I know they've been doing a lot of donating to the cause of helping to feed the Homeless and I wanted to support them plus I was finally craving a baked potato so I decided to try them out. I ordered the baked potato with toppings of barbecue beef, broccoli, cheese and sour cream. It was phenomenal. I'm hooked. It was so huge I was only able to eat half of it. It was loaded with fresh broccoli so I felt like I was at least getting some greens in along with tons of protein and probably more carbohydrates than I needed. I got a cup of their potato soup on the side just to taste and it was as close to my mother's potato soup as any I've ever tasted. In fact it was probably better because I picked up some cheese and possibly sour cream flavors in it which she never did. Between the two my meal was still under $10 before tip and I was able to get two meals and a snack out of it. The girls behind the counter were extremely nice and kept busy the whole time I was there because they had so many drive-through customers. I prefer to eat inside a place so I can relax. I enjoyed the time I spent in there. I will definitely have to go back. read more

Stopped here as we were driving through. My husband chose this place. Everyone in my family chose the half potatoes with toppings. The half potato was still huge. Decided to write down our orders on a piece of paper. You pull up to menu and decide what you want then pull up to window to order. I got a half potato with nacho cheese+broccoli+butter+sour cream+mushroom and chives. He got half potato+bbq beef+butter+sour cream+chive. Holy hell that was a good potato. We shared a Cherry limeade that was super yummy too. Big potions. Total was $14! And had our order ready in minutes. Great stop for quick lunch on a long trip. Fairly close to highway makes this a worthy detour. read more

There Potatoes Is Big Could Not Finish Some People Take Home And Eat Supper They Have Good Toppings On Top The Potatoes?

Potatoes are cold and hard. I tried two different times and I just don't see what the hype is all about.

Food is pretty basic and nothing really to it. It is not terrible but it is not great either. Middle of the road food so if your in the mood for a giant potato this is just as good as anywhere else. Nothing to praise though. read more

Very fast, very simple and economical menu. By far the bast best place for a frito pie or potato!

Two words: delicious & affordable! We came here passing through Amarillo and were pretty pleased. This is the type of place almost anyone can find something at. Vegetarians, picky kids, you name it. It had a good variety of toppings for potatoes, other menu items and portions are generous. I had the classic sour cream, bacon, and chive potato with broccoli. My boyfriend had the all-beef hot dog. Everything was tasty. I loved that they had a little area for condiments/sauces. My only minor feedback is I wish they had better ranch. This was just bottled and could be better. The service was good. The young women working there were were patient with us while we stared at the menu and overall service was very friendly. If I lived in the area I'd definitely use their drive thru and try their other menu items. I'd recommend this place if you've got a few people to feed, want tasty food, and don't want to spend a lot of money. O read more

I had to check this place out before I moved out of Amarillo. I'm glad that I waited till then to go because I'd be about 400 pounds by now since I'd want to eat there every week. Baked potatoes area one of my favorite comfort foods. You can put all the toppings you love on an edible container of starchy goodness. When we got there, they had a chicken tortilla soup potato which I got and my bf got standard ham, cheese, chives potato. I wish we got half servings or split one because this was the mama of all baked potatoes. Easily a couple pounds each! They are very generous with the toppings and the people working there were very friendly. So while I'm not sad to no longer be living in amarillo, there are a few places there that I'll miss and this will be one of them. read more

The food was ok, not bad. It was filling at a reasonable price. They had a decent menu variety.
