I've had issues with Polka Dot in the past, but my recent experiences here have really changed my opinion. The jalapeño poppers are some of the best I've ever had, and the crispy chicken sandwiches are incredible. I've ordered it twice and got a great sandwich both times. The chicken is tasty and the veggies are in good shape too. Before, I would never eat here because of the wait times, but both of the times I've eaten here in the last month, I was shocked at how quickly the food was ready. I think maybe the staff gets overwhelmed when it's super busy, but if you come here outside of peak times it's a much better experience. I'm very impressed with the improvements to the food and the service.

Great little spot to stop off at before a long drive home. Thought I'd leave a review here with the latest menu pics. We just got a few snacks and most of them before I remembered to take pics. The service was fantastic. The mozzarella sticks were tasty and served with a delicious creamy marinara sauce and the chicken tenders were perfect. The ranch dressing is hidden valley but NOT out of the bottle. It's mixed onsite and tasty. Also got a medium sized dipped cone w nuts and it was huge! They even have a grilled chicken sandwich and veggie burger which I wasn't hungry enough to get this time around.

Dipped chocolate cone waited 30minutes for ice cream soup.

Dipped cone they made us wait 30minutes for ice cream soup. Wouldn't give me my $ back. The Polka Dot Frostie. Don't recommend this place for your Airbnb folks.

    $5, chicken tenders. Really good

I was in the area and wanted a quick bit to eat I could take while I drove. This was the perfect spot, I thought their prices were not bad. $5 for a lot of things basically. I got the chicken tenders and the hand breaded mozzarella sticks. The wait was not long, 5 minutes maybe? The chicken tender portion felt small, but remember it was only $5, I'd probably get two if I come back. The chicken breading was delicious, and the chicken itself was tender and moist. The mozzarella sticks were definitely hand breaded, two were a bit fused together and the breading was sort of, a blanket rather than a sweater if that makes sense lol. The tomato sauce was different (I was expecting marinara style, but its almost a creamy tomato soup, which they have on the menu so it is probably that). They have a tree-y area with a little creek that you can sit on picnic benches and eat. It's perfect if you're driving and need a car break, or have dogs or just want some fresh air without roasting to death in the sun. In the end, what I got was filling, and worth the price for me. If I lived here I'd be here often.

    Sad "avocado toast"

I usually love polka dot and thats why im giving 3 stars instead of 1, but today just wasnt a good day. The avocado toast was untoasted white bread with unrippened avocado and some tomatoes. And they put it in the bag long ways so it all fell to the bottom of the bag. We couldnt ask them to fix it since we drove the 30 min back home and opened the bag. Took one bite and couldn't eat it. They 100% knew the avocado wasnt ripe since it was like cutting into a block of hard cheddar cheese. They should have told us to order something else since the avo was not ripe. And then to just throw it into the bag, it seems like they were mad or something to be so careless. Expensive for what we received

New ownership has done a great job reviving this ol burger spot. The menu is quite appropriate for the 2020s bringing a high end vibe to the classic frosty model. Keep the good stuff coming Highly recommend the veggie burger with bacon and all the add ons

Unfortunately, when I arrived they hadn't received my order, and after waiting about 15 minutes I decided to leave. Tired and hungry, I drove back through town looking for somewhere else to eat. I didn't want fast food I was hoping for something that felt a little more like a home-cooked meal. That's when I pulled into Bigfoot Eats around 9:30 PM, knowing they closed at 10. I figured I'd just order a simple appetizer sampler so I wouldn't be a hassle so close to closing time. A little while later the staff came to my table to let me know the chef hadn't seen my order and the fryers had already been turned off. At that point I felt like I had struck out twice in one night. But what happened next completely changed my evening. The waitresses insisted that I pick anything else on the menu and told me they would take care of my meal free of charge. I didn't want to be that customer holding them up when they were trying to close, but they genuinely insisted that they wanted to make sure I got dinner that night. They brought out a great meal, loaded me up with food, and I even had leftovers to take home. What started as a frustrating night turned into a really positive experience because of the kindness and hospitality of the staff. I left as a very happy and grateful customer. Bigfoot Eats truly turned my night around, and I will absolutely be returning.

I really hate to write this review because there is so much good and done right at this restaurant…read more Their recipes are great, just poorly executed by incompetent cooks. After a disastrous Friday night out to try and enjoy their "Prime Rib Dinner", which failed in every respect from food to service...I made the mistake of getting food delivered from them on a Friday night. I think they need to fire that head chef. After a local woman raved about their crispy chicken salad on FB I made a plan to order one delivered tonight and paired it with the potato skins. Now I'm not sure which night it was, but I had ordered the appetite sampler and side salad (I think last week). That was one of the best side salads I've ever had and made a mental note to get a salad from there next time. The sampler was OK. I do remember the chicken strips being good and loved the fresh potato skins. Unfortunately, the pickles and other items were not so great soggy and over salted. Fast forward to tonight their six piece potato skin appetizer came with four huge potato skins. Unfortunately, they'd been double fried too crispy and slightly burnt. Tonight's order had very little cheese, probably sat in their window too long before the driver even picked it. So the flavor just wasn't there. What was most disappointing was the salad. Gone was the crunchy green lettuce and mixed spring greens. It was replaced with a moderate amount of wilted Romaine (?) lettuce topped with flavorless over fried small chunks of fried chicken. They should've been served as complete chicken strips sliced. Instead, I got hard flavorless chunks. The tomatoes, hard boiled egg (1), blue cheese crumbles were OK. The bacon was unremarkable. An $18 entrée salad should not fit into a medium sized to go container. They should've stacked all of the cold greens, tomatoes, eggs etc., in the one and put the warmer items into a small container to be combined at home. This is a pretty basic salad, but they managed to mess it up. I also asked for extra sour cream and ranch which was ignored. I think I will stick to breakfast items and only during the week early in the day when I can count on items being prepared fresh to order. I know you can do better Bigfoot with a skilled expediter and better quality control & consistency.

My wife and I enjoyed the Chicken Marsala and Beef Stroganoff each served with mashed potatoes and mixed veg. Both meals were cooked to perfection with a delicious sauce that should accompany each dish . 10/10 for me on both dishes, it would be hard to pick a favorite but I'd have to order the stroganoff again on my next visit ..... too good!! They have a variety of dogs... all beef, Italian sausage, spicy hot link, elk, bison, boar, and beyond brat (vegan). Look for the food truck in the parking lot with a Shell gas station on Highway 50. The dogs are served up plain or you can get them specialized as in a Chicago dog, Sonoran dog, chili cheese, etc. The dogs range $7.50-$15. Plus they got fries$5-13. Those too are served plain or specialized. My faves are the chili fries, Chicago dog, and New York style dog. The chili is no beans and the fries are double fried giving them an extra crispy layer of crust. I do have to tell them light on the onions and mustard because they give you a full bang for your buck and load it up. But Hubs likes it that way. I like to wash it all down with their homemade lemonade. It's the real deal, made with lemons, sugar, and water. The $6 lemonade is served up in a whomping 32 ounce container. Get this, they serve breakfast as well. You can get an egg, cheese, hash brown on an 8 inch Italian roll or bowl. $9.50. Add bacon, sausage or steak $2.50-$4.50 extra.
