I stopped into this place a few years back and had some fish and chips. Decided to check it out. I was not impressed. While the fish serving was large, it was over breaded and greasy. There were a lot of fries and they were good). The place is drive thru only. The lobby looks like a hoarder has taken over the place. It doesn't look like the kind of place I'd trust to eat at.

Beer battered fish fried to absolute perfection. All the sides were tasty too. Cute little drive thru that really provides great quality foods. Awesome local spot!

Cute little place like walking into a bait shop with their fishing theme. The reason we stopped here is because they offer a variety of game burgers. We got the Elk. Burger was small like a McDonald's patty but very flavorful. We asked for an extra patty but it was $4.00 so we passed. Comes with potato salad but they were sold out so we had to settle for coldslaw which was just ok. Batter dipped onion rings were good but the battered fish was greasy. Located next to the river with tables there to enjoy it.

Mac n' cheese bites! Slightly dark but still gooey and tasty!

Great roadside eatery! Fish n' chips were perfectly fried, not greasy. Great crinkle fries. I had the corn battered fish sandwich, so good. Catfish was fresh, not muddy at all. Lettuce tomato red onion all fresh cut, and the bead DELICIOUS! The burger buns were the same fresh baked but in burger bun form, great bread. Soft with slightly crisp crust. The coleslaw was fresh, not too sweet & still crunchy. My son had a wild boar Mac n' cheese burger, he loved it! Daughter had a teriyaki burger. Really good as well. No frozen preformed patty here. Oh and the Mac n' cheese bits! $2.99!!! Ours were a little dark but still gooey and tasty. You know your in the right place when all the local workmen are in line when you arrive! PERFECT place to stop!

We always get the same thing- ortega burger and onion rings. They get pretty busy so the wait times can be long but the food is delicious.

I asked if they did half sandwiches in an effort to keep my calorie consumption to a reasonable level. They said yes we do make half sandwich sandwiches.. that was awesome but also the homemade banana bread said calories don't count - and a little "eat me" sign was floating above the banana bread visible only to me of course. I ended up getting half the Bart attack on sliced marble rye, and a corner piece of the chocolate chip banana bread. I ate it outside the patio, adorable tables and umbrellas. Such a gorgeous break from driving and eat something so delicious. It was like my grandma made it, full of love and flavor! The little store inside has everything that you might need from medicine to drink to freeze dried candy and homemade baked goods. I'm definitely gonna stop here again I also loved the no Dodgers fan sign on the door and one of the staff was doing music trivia! This place rocks

The service was excellent and we were warmly welcomed as soon as we walked in. Their deli has a large selection of breakfast items, cold sandwiches, and hot sandwiches. I ordered the Herbavore sandwich and it was delicious! The sandwiches and food items were reasonably priced. Everyone that worked there was friendly and our sandwiches came out quickly. Their convenience store was well stocked. It has a relaxed vibe, which I loved. I love that they have picnic tables to enjoy your meal. Highly recommend this place!

My son had fresh muffins both days which were outstanding. Others in our party enjoyed their meals too. They wet so accommodating and friendly with repeated coffee refills. Would definitely go back.

We asked for a table outside because she can't hear well, and the cafe was bustling and loud. The staff seated us, but had to move tables around outside. The hostess and a "regular" of the cafe said things like "this is what we do in a tourist economy." "We have to accommodate the tourists." As if we were a bother and they were bending over backward to accommodate us. Because my mother in law was there, and she is emotionally raw right now, I avoided conflict. So I'll say now, what I wanted to say to those snarky, rude employees Thursday: My husband's family has had a plot in the Taylorsville cemetery for longer than those two ladies been alive -- combined. His grandmother had 2 restaurants in Greenville. His mother is a fixture in the community, living through the Dixie fire and coming back to rebuild her life. Now she'll bury her husband there. My sister and brother in law worked in public service in Quincy for decades. We aren't tourists. And even if we were, you were incredibly unwelcoming. You made a sad day worse. The food was fine.
