I called a second plumber to get a comparison quote and they too were wanting to charge me just to look and quote. Then I called John The Plumber. To my surprise, they didn't charge to come out and quote the job. Setting up the appointment was very easy and they sent their tech the very next day. Mike was my tech and he called ahead to say he was enroute, he arrived on time, even asked where I prefer that he park. His truck was modern and clean. He was friendly and very professional. He inspected my old unit and gave me a quote, he answered my questions, and he was able to even beat the other plumber's quote. Amazingly, he uninstalled my old unit and installed the new one that same day. He did a superb job, it took as long as he said it would take, he wore shoe covers when he came in the house, he cleaned up after himself, he then explained everything he did and why he did it that way (including some re-piping he had to do), and he gave me a very thorough tutorial on how to operate the new unit. At the last moment before the plumbers arrival, I had to rush out and pick up one of my kids because my wife was running late. Despite the change of plans, he persevered, kept in touch, assessed the situation and gave me a price without any hassle or drama, which I appreciated. Some companies are not able to give estimates without both homeowners there walking thru everything which is ridiculous. Anyway, he came back a few days later, showed up right on time for the job and got to work right away. There was minimal disruption and the guy worked very well independently. In the end the project was completed successfully and everything was done exactly as I wanted. Five star work! It's kind of cliche but it's a little hard to find a good plumber these days. On Tuesday, August 4th, I awoke to significant flooding in my closet caused by a slab leak. I immediately began contacting plumbing companies and ultimately reached Main Line Plumbing, who arrived within a couple of hours. At that point, the service appeared prompt and satisfactory. Shortly thereafter, I received an emailed estimate for $5,200, followed by a call from an office representative named Kayla, requesting that I sign the estimate to approve the work. I did so, and she informed me that a 50% deposit was required before they could begin. I submitted the deposit, only to be notified shortly afterward that the earliest available appointment would be Friday, two days later. Given the active leak and ongoing damage, I expressed my concern and reminded her that the technician had indicated he would request priority scheduling. Despite this, Kayla stated that Friday was the only available opening. Due to the urgency of the situation, I requested that the job be canceled and my deposit refunded. She responded that she would need to inform the owner and refused to connect me directly to him. During subsequent calls, she repeatedly stated that she had notified the owner but continued to refuse to transfer my call. Several days later, Kayla informed me that the refund would be issued and would take 3-5 business days to appear on my account. It has now been nearly 10 days, and no refund has been received. As a result, I contacted my bank and initiated a dispute of the charge. This experience raises serious concerns regarding the company's customer service, professionalism, and integrity. I strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering this business. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Main Line Plumbing and Electrical and would assign them a firm thumbs down.

A contractor initially told me that this will be a $3000 repair job requiring a hole cut out in the kitchen wall to get into the back innards of the shower. Otherwise, he would have to destroy the shower paneling.   Second opinion time. Enter Paradise Plumbing with their solid technical expertise. The cartridge just needed to be replaced and Joey fixed it quickly within 30 minutes. My shower also had an incompatible shower trim kit in which the fitting was awkwardly forced together. Though they did not have the trim kit part, he pointed me in the right direction to get the missing component overnighted to me. Easy install.   Altogether, this was less than $500 vs. the initial $3000 which was drilling in my head. Cheers to Paradise Plumbing. I only used them once prior but now they have my solid trust.

The tech was professional and friendly. He cleaned up after himself. He charged me the same as his estimate. So why 4 stars? They use an AI agent scheduler. The AI texted me conflicting info the morning of my appointment. It made me think that my appointment would be delayed or canceled. It wasted my time by impersonating a real human who could be reasoned with. I texted it back, arguing with an AI agent about it. It stressed me out when I absolutely did not need that unnecessary aggravation. Turns out the AI hallucinated the delay. The extra stress was completely unnecessary. Get a person to communicate with customers, please. Texting with an AI impersonating a human is undignified at best, insulting at worst. It feels like deception and disdain. This should be 5 stars. They did a 5 star job. Their AI customer service lost them a star.
