The ribs are fabulous! No question. They are as good as any I've tasted anywhere! Juicy, meaty,…read moreso flavorful. Perfect, I'd say! The green beans are fabulous, too. Fresh and perfectly cooked. I think the mashed potatoes must be fabulous fresh, but mine were heated over because they were prepared before I arrived, so I tasted that heated-over taste. But! They were very good; real potatoes, which you almost never can find anymore, and lots of butter! I might change that myself; a little less butter and a little more milk or cream. The thing I found disappointing was the fried chicken. I went to the restaurant to try the ribs because I'm looking for ribs to serve at a dinner party and I'm on the hunt, but I had to try the chicken! You may like it; I think my objection is a personal taste thing, but ..... The coating on the chicken tastes like it was poured out of a spice-blend like Montreal Steak seasoning or the Kirkland Signature Organic No-Salt seasoning, or Lawrey's Seasoning, or the seasoning packet from Good Seasons Zesty salad dressing packets - I know I've tasted it before, but I can't remember which it is. It was too too much! As I said above; it tasted like it was poured into bowl from the package and the chicken was dredged in it. The flavor may be great if it were toned down a little, like starting with flour and adding the seasoning blend to the flour? Starting with half and half of each would be an improvement, but I would go with a 3 to 1 ratio of flour to mix. Other than that, I am definitely going to order the ribs for my dinner! As it was, I used the sauce that came with the ribs to dip my chicken in; that sauce is out of this world!!!!! And the two gentlemen who helped me were terrific! Carmen talked to me about the ribs, the rest of the menu and was the most gracious host! I told him about my quest for ribs and he was very helpful! He alone is worth going back for. And Zee must have asked me 10 times if I needed anything; he was very attentive! This is a cozy place tucked away where you can go and relax and enjoy a great meal! Order the ribs!

We had gone to Bancroft several years ago and really liked it. It is a splurge kind of place so we…read moredon't go that often. We went on New Year's Eve and boy was it great. I rarely give five stars but this place deserves it. The atmosphere was as it should be, a restaurant, not a New Year's Eve sports bar. It started off with great dinner rolls that you could eat a hundred of. We also had a nice house Canernet Sauvignon. Appetizer was a seafood tower (oysters, shrimp, lobster). A great start. My wife had a filet mignon and fries, I had a rib eye (I never have any other steak) and Brussels sprouts. Everything was absolutely delicious, an absolute riot of flavor. If I could change two things, I wish they had a bone-in ribeye and I would pass on the red wine salt. A little TOO salty. I topped it off with cappuccino. We skipped dessert as they would have had to roll us out of there. Price pre-tip- $245. Worth every penny. This a great steakhouse and loke I said, I almost never give five stars. Great job, folks.

We were told we would have a table that sat 12 but ended up in a long bench seat that was very bad in terms of trying to have conversations - the bench seat had chairs on one side and a velour bench on the other...the velour bench was terribly uncomfortable...trying to 'scoot in/out' was a very arduous task. Seafood tower was good. Rib Eye steak was average at best - very salt about 1/2 inch thin. The place was jammed and must do things right, more times that wrong, but I'm hard pressed to go back.

I'm always surprised by the low reviews this place has!!!…read more Brought my family here when they visited us. We had a total of 3 adults and 5 kids. It was a Monday around 4pm and the place was dead. It was MLK day so businesses were likely closed around the restaurant. Service was friendly upon arrival and good throughout our dinner. The kids liked the caricatures on the wall and enjoyed their kids menu with crayons. They immediately brought out bread and butter plus took our drink order. We ordered several apps and entrees plus the kids got their special sized filets. The food is always tasty here. The chef even made me a chicken Parm Sammy which is not on the dinner menu--one of my faves. My family enjoyed their meals too. They ordered the wagyu lasagna and sea bass. For dessert, we ordered a couple of key lime pies. And of course, vanilla ice cream for the kids. The marshmallow topping is unreal. Soooooo tasty, it was a huge hit at our table. Check out the Palm for yourselves!!!

Since art is subjective I am reviewing more Chris and his service than the art: My wife and I had been walking by Chris's gallery for years and loved a piece called Morning Fog but never pulled the trigger on it. After closing on a place in Kennebunkport I knew it would be the perfect closing gift for the house and I went to Chris to discuss it. I was overwhelmed with the options and sizes available but Chris walked me through the whole process and placed the order. When the picture arrived he scheduled a time to come by the house and he installed it for us (it is quite large) for no additional fee. The service was just beyond anything I could have expected. I also just found out that he and his wife do wedding photography too. Since I'm already married I can't review that service but I can only imagine the amazing pictures he would come up with for a wedding. I would definitely hire him for any event I have in the future! I will also be purchasing more pieces from his gallery, I wish I had more wall space!

Soon as he found out we came all the way from Hawaii, he made us feel right at home. Real good energy, super welcoming, and took care of us the whole night. The adults started with a couple Manhattans, and da buggahs had mana . Exactly how a Manhattan supposed to be. For appetizers, we went with the full Abe's Seafood Tower and the Caesar salad. I highly recommend both. My daughter and son went all in, and the homemade croutons made that Caesar salad pop. We liked the oysters so much, we ended up ordering another dozen. Sahin told us the Duxbury oysters (I think that's the ones we had) are local to the Boston region and are farmed in the upper water column above the oyster bed, which keeps them in the current and gives them that clean, briny taste. Mean, supah ono! For the main, we shared the 22 oz bone in ribeye and lobster tail. Steak was cooked proper, juicy, flavorful, just how it should be. Sahin even offered to have the steak sliced up for us, which was a nice touch. For sides, we had the au gratin potatoes and Brussels sprouts. Both were super tasty, and the Brussels sprouts had that perfect char. Ended the meal with da cookie dessert which had homemade whipped cream. Overall, real good experience. Great food, great drinks, and service that made us feel comfortable from the jump. If you staying in Boston and like seafood and steak, this spot is worth checking out. Just note, it's a typical Boston setting, everybody talk loud haha. Mahalo plenty, Sahin. It was a pleasure. I give dis place, 2 shakas and an auriiite!
