Driving through Winthrop you get a beautiful view of the ocean. Despite its small town charm, there are a few drawbacks like only two roads in and out and it's not really accessible by public transportation. It has multiple beaches and is filled with mom-and-pop businesses. Every so often I'll go to Winthrop for Blackstrap BBQ.

This was my first visit to The Town of Stoneham. It is Tuesday and driving through Stoneham it's a…read morebusy day. Cars, trucks and all types of other vehicles just bustling through town like everybody knew where they were going except us. Nice little town and our guide was our cousin, who was giving us directions on how to get to what remains of the farm. We were given directions to Franklin Street where the farm house still exist. I always wanted to visit here because of the history that was told to me by relatives. The farm house still looks beautiful and is very well kept. We were told that the house had been here since 1749, and the original owner was Elisha Knight. I will probably never make it back here but, at least I got my chance in time to visit here. It started raining on Tuesday and it is chilly outside but, the colors on the maple trees are gorgeous and very picturesque to say the least. I have no clue of what to give this review since I would be playing favorites. I hope some of you make it here on the same time of year as I did.

Hmm so weird. We're right on two major highways, how is this not a perfect location. About or less than a ten minute drive once on 93 to Boston; without traffic; ehhm, how is that beat? My neighborhood has a neighborhood feel. If you're a crab and don't talk to people or aren't friendly, yes, you won't have a neighborhood feel. But in my neighborhood, we're always at someone's BBQ or bon fire.. 4th of July, I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else besides in my neighborhood. So many festivities to participate in! The school systems are.. from what I know, semi improving since recent years. All new elementary schools and I pray the Middle School is next. I am 24, so I am unaware of the school systems now since I have been out of that for a while and also not looking because I don't have children. If my parents were to leave me their house, I'd gladly accept it and raise my family here. And to say to get to Revere.... buddy; pathetic. We're like four towns over, get your geography right, jerk off.

Until recently, Billerica was a bit sparse, the only thing separating the nice Mass town of Lowell and the intense metropolis of Boston and its burbs. But now that Billerica is looking more like a burb every month, it's going to create non stop urbanity from Boston to Lowell, and next thing you know Manchester and Portsmouth and Providence and Worcester are sucked in, and next thing you know, New England is just New Metropolis.

This isn't an industrial city which means that it mainly consists of residential areas. I would live here forever if I could. Close knit communities and quiet areas means that there's a lot of peace of mind when living here. There are two major reasons why I HAVE to give it four stars instead of five. 1. There always always seems to be construction going on. Like Dan G. mentioned earlier, there is one Dunkin Donuts location that chokes up traffic all the time! Not only that, but they have been working on the bridge there now for over a year and they JUST finished ONLY half of the bridge.. which means there's halfway more to go. It is HORRIBLE in the morning to get from inside the residential areas of Winthrop towards Boston because of it... it's actually a nightmare. 2. Logan Airport. It's located RIGHT beside Winthrop and jams up cellular service. I lived in the downstairs apartment of my landlord and I get no reception whatsoever on my phone, and the internet connection is horrible. Just TRY to watch a single video on YouTube.. it's nearly impossible to finish a ten minute video because the connection is so bad. My landlord tells me that they keep a land-line in their home because their cell phone service is so bad. Beside those two crippling downsides, there's just no way I would call Winthrop "perfect" but it comes damn close.

If it's raining then it's probably pouring so that might mean mud. Boys in the Boat made quite the splash at this year's event (go UW). I was there to also cheer another local Seattle team (HNA). So much walking so wear good walking shoes (I walked nearly 20 miles). Concession stands all over the place however be warned one of the kids (a competitor) ate the famous bread bowl and she had food poisoning! Perhaps just consider the wineries along the trail and pack a lunch. Walk to Harvard Square for the lovely stores and shopping. Take the T(rain) bc it's easy and fast! Best advice I can give is to download the Head of the Charles Regatta App. The app was very easy to follow and all of the races were updated in real time. Book your hotel far in advance. I really enjoyed the event. Sitting near the actual event central allowed for following along with the commentary from the HOCR boat house. Last, this event and the streets and trails near the river are stuffed with 10's of thousands of people so be prepared for the crowds. No admission fee for watching.

A friend told me that this is an 800 pound bronze statue of a famous goal Bobby Orr made at the Stanley Cup 40 years ago. 800 pounds of bronze, wow. I think it was planted by aliens to control our minds.
