The interior is nicely decorated, and for a smaller (than most) restaurant on a busy Friday night, we got our food and drinks pretty quickly. I ordered the Caesar salad with steak - I ordered medium well but got it well done, but the added my cooked onions to the meal and I was content. My mom and aunt ordered the short rib and they enjoyed their dishes. This is a cute place to catch up with friends, go on a date, or bring the little ones. Happy this is in the area!

There are plenty of options for food, beer, wine, and cocktails, which makes it easy for groups. Service was exceptional on both visits. Friendly, attentive, and well paced without feeling rushed. That stood out and made both meals more enjoyable. Inside, the setup is comfortable and casual with a lively but manageable atmosphere. It is a good place for a meal or just drinks. The Stones is located right in downtown Stoneham and has easy off street parking, which is a plus. On my visits, I had the cheeseburger flatbread once and a steak the other time. Both were good. When I have been in others ordered the salmon, cheeseburger, and Cobb salad, and everything looked solid. No complaints from anyone. Overall, this is a reliable and easy place to come back to. Good food, strong service, and a setting that works for a range of occasions. I would come back anytime.

She explained that all items are made to order and all substitutions were thoughtful. We had a few allergies at our table and they accommodated everything. I ordered the swordfish and my wife had the haddock - DELICIOUS!!!! 10/10. The flavor was intense and paired well with the sides. We also got a peak into their private cellar where they can accommodate private parties. We will definitely be back. Still dreaming about that dinner!!

Plenty of toppings and cheese but the flavor was flat. The meatball sub was solid. The meatball is very meaty, a great stand alone meatball. I should've added provolone cheese, it would've put it over the top. The marinara was really good thought. Getting the sauce on the side allowed it to travel well (even though it was only a 10 min drive, the bread would've been too soggy by the time we got it back home if it was pre-sauced). When inside I thought it was odd the menu displays didn't provide prices unless I missed it somewhere. We ordered from the pizzeria online so it didn't matter for our order, but an interesting observation. (See pictures)

Then the sub was a disappointment with what seemed like deep fried eggplant and hardly any sauce in it, the provolone did not have any flavor. Yes, the service and food could have been much better!

Being Italian herself, there is quite a bar for an establishment to get over with her, when it comes to Italian food. Unless you flew the pasta in from Sicily fresh that morning, don't expect a good rating. I may hold places to a high standard, but she is the Willis Tower of expectation when it comes to Italian food. Food: Bacci's is around the corner from Momma Shelter's and somewhere she caught a whiff of when stopping in Stoneham once. So, naturally, we had to investigate. Momma ordered a standard Chicken Parm, and I think I got a Shrimp Scampi. Basic. Dishes that are hard to mess up for an Italian restaurant. Food came out in the right amount of time, and they were piping hot. Momma's serving looked bigger than her, and mine was a perfect amount too. Tasted very good, and Momma was quite pleased with her Chicken Parm. We both were very happy with the food. Service: Wait staff was quick, attentive, good attention to detail, and I can't remember 100%, but I don't think they put bread and oil on the table as an appetizer. That is an automatic DQ in my mother's eyes. Any Italian restaurant that forgets the bread, won't get her money ever again, which will be included in the review of another establishment I am going to review later. They got the beverages right, everything there was fine, well done. Atmosphere: Bacci's is a small place with only a few seats, but a bar with locals in it that can get a little noisy sometimes. I got the feeling that a lot more people did take-out there, than sat in and ate. One other side note was the parking can be a little tricky if you aren't familiar with the area. Best not to use the lot behind the building as that can fill up quick, but there is a lot a short walk up the street that the back lot is off of that has plenty of space in it. Overall - I would go back and eat there for a nice meal, I don't think Momma will, but oh well, was still a very good treat. :)

We have two little picky eaters and needed convenience, access to parking, and spacious and friendly for toddlers. We thoroughly enjoy Ciao Amici and have been going pretty regularly for the last 2 years. Our usual are the meatballs and carbonara for the kids. For awhile, it was the only way I could get my youngest to eat any protein. It is tender and has the right amount of spices for my youngest to gobble up. The two of them always share the carbonara and slurp it right up. Lastly, my oldest has recently become obsessed with their sauteed mussels and I literally have to negotiate with her to let me eat one. I love the saffron garlic white wine sauce, it is very garlicy and goes so well with the warm bread that they give you. My husband and I have tried a lot of their pasta and seafood with risotto dishes. Recently he has also ventured into their main dishes and still enjoyed it. Overall, great flavors, pasta is al dente, and the perfect portion where you don't feel overly stuffed by the end of the meal. We've tried a few of the places in the North End, and I would say Ciao Amici definitely is on par if not better than some of the places in the North End, plus they have a small parking lot that we've always had access to. My personal favorites are the Spaghetti Shrimp Scampi and Haddock e Risotto. The servers are always attentive and considerate. The -1 star comes from the pace of service. We usually go on the early side and don't have trouble but the few times we've gone when it was a bit busier, we noticed that the food can take awhile to come out and although I am confident everyone is working hard, they may not always be staffed appropriately when t's busy. Lastly, we did order a salad once and it was definitely no frills, but that was exactly how it was stated on the menu. I would not go there for the salad.
