I'm not a fan of Ball Sq at all. It's one of my least favorite neighborhoods, really.
For one, no offense to you young 'uns, but way too many wannabe hipster Tufts kids. *They stick out like a sore thumb in this largely owner occ. and family oriented neighborhood.*
Yeah, breakfast places are cool. But 4 of them on this short stretch is uncalled for. Plus Kelly's is the only one worth your while, especially if you don't feel like being squished in with said hipsters.
Ball Sq has some good places to stop in -- Lyndell's, Kelly's, True Grounds, but it isn't a place to hang for the day. It goes like this Eat breakfast, then leave. Chew and screw.
This neighborhood lacks cohesion and even calling it a "neighborhood" feels like a stretch to me. read more
