Since then, they have become a legendary spot and often referred to as one of, if not THE best Italian restaurant in Boston (even though it's technically Allston. I 100% lean towards the latter. You can NOT beat the quality , taste, portions or prices when considered all together. And the family oriented service is top notch. You do not have to deal with Hanover Street traffic or prices, and you will not get anything as good as this anyway. Carlo's is a MUST visit if you're headed to or from Fenway Park or I. The area for any reason. Can't miss spot.

Nice ambiance and servers very attentive! We ordered gnocchi dish (it's huge) and a caprese instalata. What we really loved was the warm bread that they brought to the table right away with the favorful olive oil to dip. We felt right at home. The salad was amazing, super fresh and arugula was crisp, tomatoes fresh and the drizzle atop the mozarella was perfect. Beautifully presented. My daughter really liked her gnocchi, perfectly cooked, (soft but has a little bite to it!) with amazing red sauce. The interesting thing is she found two random pieces of chicken in her dish but no worries, we just placed them aside. Overall a wonderful experience, we'd come back again for the flavors if we are in this area.
