Very cute and fun to walk around in, especially in the summer. The only problem is the rude pedestrians at times- but I can deal with it.

You can buy chocolate covered pretzels from Trader Joe's, a Junot Diaz book, and a dildo without leaving Coolidge Corner.

And…read moreI'm sorry but unless you're a really sexy person willing to put out (in which case is it really free), then you probably won't find one. I don't even do drugs so don't look at me. Brookline is a really nice and fancy and relaxing City to the south west of Boston which is really part of Boston, let's be honest. You'll find lots of suburban niceties here but also some citiness and some cool stuff in terms of food and drinks and just in general I really like it here.

It's the most upmarket and suburban of the urban cities of Boston and is pretty on the eye but often hard on the wallet. Corey Hill Outlook, the bakeries (Athan's and Japonaise), the cinema, the Thai restaurants, some of the sushi and the Publick House are redeeming features that get me across the river regularly. Yuppie parents, bad sushi, horrible intersections, stupid bylaws, the green line, murderous turkeys, painful hills for cyclists, the Ryder Cup in 1999, the fans at the Ryder Cup in 1999, the shirts the USA wore at the Ryder Cup in 1999, and STUPID PARKING FACISM (!!!) are all reasons why Brookline Fails at Life. Just my opinion, but Brookline, you're 4th out of 4. (sound effect: mwaap, mwap, mwaaah)

This new holiday tradition uses over 350,000 LED lights to illuminate Boston's skyline. Blink! is a must-see holiday show, perfect for all ages. Nightly performances begin at 4:30 and run every half an hour throughout the property. The best place to see the show is near the giant Christmas tree. Then you can turn around to see the rest of the lights in Faneuil Hall blink too. The show isn't too long - enough time to have fun, but not have children get bored. I watched the show with a group of adults and we enjoyed it as well. It's definitely worth checking out while you're in the Faneuil Hall area!

I wouldn't make a special trip here just for this place but include it with some other activity that's close by. They have a beautiful giant Christmas Tree decorated with over 350,000 lights. They play pre recorded Classic Christmas Songs & sync them to the lights for a show called BLINK. They have the show numerous times each night after dark. They post the schedule. Also don't forget to check out both sides of Faneuil Hall near the Christmas tree, there are beautiful Ice Sculptures. There was The Disney Moana Ice Sculpture & The Ice Sofa which was really Cool on the other side. They let you sit on the Ice Sofa. Don't worry you sit down on a cushion so you don't freeze or stick to the surface. The colors are blue & pink. REMEMBER TO TAKE YOUR PHONE OR CAMERA WITH YOU. YOU TAKE A SELFIE ON THE SOFA & BECAUSE OF THE LIGHTS & THE CRYSTAL CLEAR ICE YOU LOOK LIKE YOU'RE A MEMBER OF THE BLUE MAN GROUP! PRETTY COOL! It used to be, you had to have mega bucks & be really rich to have the Good Life, not anymore. The Game has changed. You've been Upgraded. Now You Can Live Like a King on a Limited Budget!

The Harvard Bridge - Amazing sunset on the Harvard Bridge

If you're driving over the bridge during rush hour traffic it can get a little backed up but for the most part traffic moves pretty smoothly going from one end to the other. This is the bridge that connects Boston to Cambridge so if you are doing a walk along the bridge you can get some gorgeous views of the Boston skyline and MIT. I have walked over this bridge many times and I always make it a point to stop for a break every now and then during the walk so I can take in the views. Anytime you can walk over this bridge during a sunset is definitely a bonus!

From the beautiful sunrises and sunsets to the spectacular views of the Boston skyline; you'll be sure to witness some magical sights while on this bridge. As I was riding the bus from Boston to Cambridge, I couldn't help but notice how stunning the views of the city were while it crossed over this bridge. I noticed several pedestrians walking and running across, so I immediately stopped at the next bus stop and headed there to get a closer view. It was the perfect time too because the sun was starting to set. Walked across the bridge and then stopped to admire the colors in the sky. Stunningly beautiful views! Not only did I have the perfect sunset, but the city views were amazing too. The skyline glows at night! If you're someone who enjoys scenic vistas, then you will definitely appreciate what the Harvard Bridge has to offer. The walk across the bridge is pretty delightful as well. There will be other people and of course cars crossing, but it still has this element of peace to it. Maybe I was just too entranced by the sunset to pay attention to anything or anyone else. I did notice that other people stopped and watched the sunset too and took several pictures. I'm guessing that this is a popular spot for it. It felt extremely safe to maneuver even during the night. When in Boston, you're probably gonna have to cross this bridge at some point to reach Cambridge. You might as well make it a point to take a nice little stroll over the Harvard Bridge while you're here. I'd say that it's worth it and so would my pictures too.

(Note: If you have never heard of Dewey Cheetham & Howe, please stop reading now. This review will not enlighten you). We did not know what to expect at Car Talk Plaza since Tom & Ray's retirement. We found the odd shaped building (thanks Yelp!), with the odd shaped elevator, and took it to the third floor expecting at best to find a locked door. However, after tapping on the door, we tried it and it miraculously opened! There was absolutely nobody in the office! Evidently Doug "the subway fugitive, not a slave to fashion, bongo boy frogman" Berman and "John 'Bugsy' Lawlor were not yet back from the Sliced Ham, Razor Clam, Cherry Jam, Rack of Lamb, Grand Slam. We thought for a moment about having a romantic interlude to the sounds of "Are We There Yet Mama?" by Kelly Clark and the Wild River Band (show number 200102). However, we became consumed inspecting all the interesting gifts and memorabilia throughout the office. Once we were sated, we signed the guest book, put a pin in the Visitor's Map, grabbed an autographed postcard (or two), and proceeded back to the odd shaped elevator and back to Harvard Square. A good time was had by all.
