Very peaceful fun-loving happy little seaside town…read more If you like the ocean and you want to beach that's uncrowded head on over to Winthrop they have many. The town also has a good selection of restaurants and yacht clubs. I understand the school system is very good. This would be a great place to bring up children or for singles that love the beach.

I agree with a lot of what Dan G has said. I lived on one of the neighborhoods he mentioned in his…read morepost. Winthrop is a great city to live in. This isn't an industrial city which means that it mainly consists of residential areas. I would live here forever if I could. Close knit communities and quiet areas means that there's a lot of peace of mind when living here. There are two major reasons why I HAVE to give it four stars instead of five. 1. There always always seems to be construction going on. Like Dan G. mentioned earlier, there is one Dunkin Donuts location that chokes up traffic all the time! Not only that, but they have been working on the bridge there now for over a year and they JUST finished ONLY half of the bridge.. which means there's halfway more to go. It is HORRIBLE in the morning to get from inside the residential areas of Winthrop towards Boston because of it... it's actually a nightmare. 2. Logan Airport. It's located RIGHT beside Winthrop and jams up cellular service. I lived in the downstairs apartment of my landlord and I get no reception whatsoever on my phone, and the internet connection is horrible. Just TRY to watch a single video on YouTube.. it's nearly impossible to finish a ten minute video because the connection is so bad. My landlord tells me that they keep a land-line in their home because their cell phone service is so bad. Beside those two crippling downsides, there's just no way I would call Winthrop "perfect" but it comes damn close.

Checking out the beautiful city while making our way to this marketplace. The market is fun. There's vendors outside selling souvenirs, treats and sports merch. Inside were food vendors. We were still full from our breakfast so unfortunately we weren't able to check out the food that was available. Such a bummer cause I'm sure there was plenty of fun options available! I'm always down to try the local fare! From what we did see outside, it's a lot of the same stuff in the stores in the strip. I really love the concept of this place. Food, treasures and vibes. My daughter and I were fortunate enough to check out vibe and treasures. And it was fun! I'm happy we got to peep this place out. I don't know when we'll be back but I'll recommend this location to any of my friends coming here.
