I've eaten from this establishment for months; and what they advertise for cheap pizza is what you get. It is a step pricier than the bigger chains, however why I've rated this restaurant so low is the customer service. Specifically the owner, because he's the only employee I've had issue with and I am sure everyone else is respectful. After trying to negotiate with him over the phone that I had been a regular; he demanded credit card information and beside being dismissive had told me disrespectfully it was his way or the highway, which is understandable! Good food but dine-in experience was not so great, there's no AC and it's dark. Prices on the little menu are all incorrect, it was a lot more expensive to eat there and they only have can soda. Their restaurants is take out first and dine-in second, as you order your food at the register and then find your own seating. The owner is a little hostile but the employees are nice. I am writing to update my review of The Pizza Place after my recent experience. I called in to place a delivery order as I regularly do. To my surprise the man who answered the phone let me know they would not be able to deliver to my location, which is a 9 min drive. I am a frequent customer here and each time I place an order it exceeds $80. I honestly did not want to proceed with placing an order for carry out because of how upset I was. My family has been coming here for over 10 years. This is very upsetting to say the least. The food has been consistent throughout the years but not happy with the way I was treated over the phone as I was unable to explain to the guy who just shut me down quickly. Stopped for a sandwich, price on the menu says one thing but after you order, it's $3.50 more without adding anything, get the sandwich and it has hardly any meat and honestly everything on it was minimal, then asked if they could add mustard and the guy says "that'll be $1" for a few squirts of mustard? ‍ then the guy was rude about it and after that I took what I had and left. I would have given it minus stars, but not given the option Everything I got was horrible I got a medium pizza, pepperoni and paid for extra pepperoni. The first thing I noticed when I open the box was that the cheese was yellow not that I have anything against yellow cheese just not on a pizza there was definitely not extra pepperoni and the crust was so greasy and flimsy , it wasn't worth eating. The second item was a crispy chicken salad. I'm not sure where they got the fried chicken from but it was so salty. You couldn't eat it. The lettuce was old and the croutons were prepackaged again very weird. Lastly, an Italian sub wow there was ham and salami and a little bit of cheese, lettuce, diced tomato and just a dollop of mayonnaise on a very thick Brady bun. Nothing Italian about this you could've gotten it at the 7-Eleven bland noticed know what oil and vinegar nothing it was awful I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

Was recommended this spot by a friend, said I had to try it. I showed up about 20 mins before closing, looks like Apple Maps had the hours wrong, and they were super friendly and accommodating. Owner told me I could've showed up 1 min before closing and he still would've made my pizza. Got to watch him make it right in front of me! The pizza itself is fantastic. I just ordered a simple pepperoni pizza because I didn't want them to have to drag out a bunch of ingredients. It is fantastic! I'm on slice 3 already! Covid killed the specials and this inflation isn't helping either. The pizza is good and priced fairly. They used to have the best hot wings but now mediocre. Not sure what happened. Salad is good too. The ranch they offer is yummy but you'll pay a premium if you want extra. The day I had to pay for Parmesan cheese and pepper packets was the day I decided my next pizza and goodies will be bought elsewhere. 2 each at .10 cents per- I only ask for what I'll use- It's not the price but the principal. Plus I had already paid for everything and then had to pay another measly .40 cents. A blessing in disguise because I found a place with better pizza. More cheese, more sauce, more yum and they don't nickel and dime you for condiments. I'm sure I'll go back to the Pizza Place on the rare occasion. This pizza is decent. It's not bad at all but for the price it's a place I won't be going back to. The dough is great but the sauce, cheese and toppings are just OK. We got an X-Large 1 topping for 13.99. Just too expensive when you have better for less in the same neighborhood. Magoos or Antonio's I recommend more. read more

The water "cups" are about 1oz, and when we asked for larger ones (you know, like the ones you get literally everywhere else), he said "we can't. This is how we track who gets water." WTF does that even mean??? We spent like $45 on food and they can't spare a normal size cup?? To add insult to injury the food was bad. I've live in Woodcrest a long time and never tried this place. One of the main reason was because of the bad yelp review & because of the bigger chain places that are just up the street. So I finally decided to call in an order on a sat night. The girl that answered my call was friendly and answered all my questions. Told me about all their specials, and took my order. When I showed up to pick up the pizza my first impression is the parking sucks but the place was nice and clean. All the staff is friendly and I was helped promptly. Overall all the pizza was good and hot. The restaurant looks clean and is kid friendly. They have a soda fountain so you don't have to wait for refills. They also have a wide variety of beer. The chicken wings where okay and the ranch was okay(kinda watery for my taste). Will be back again. read more
