Pizza and Salad

Stopped in Cedar City to pick up food for camping. Ordered ahead and was able to pick up pizza immediately upon entering. The people working were kind but the atmosphere wasn't necessarily very welcoming if you know what I mean. Food was good. They didn't give us the extra ranches we ordered. But what can you do when you're already gone?!

Outstanding service and pizza was great!! Wonderful atmosphere as well with indoor and outdoor seating!

"Margueroni" on Gluten Free Crust
Robyn K.

Came here for a pizza on our way thru town. Fast, but good service. Came here at 1pm on a Wednesday. Although the restaurant was complete full, we only waited about 15ish minutes for our pizzas. We sat outside in one of the two cute, tiny little tables because we had our dogs with us. So glad they had a couple outdoor spots that weren't taken. We ordered two pizzas. The Hawaiian on regular crust and the Margueroni on the GF crust as I have a pretty's ever allergy. I was a little hesitant to eat here in the first place, because of some of the other reviews saying that it's not safe for celiacs. I had a great experience. Not sure if they've updated how they take care of their gluten-free pizzas for allergies... But they placed mine on a sheet of aluminum foil before they placed it in the oven and they used a different (and super clean) pizza cutter for my pizza! This is the most that I could ask for when not dining at my own house. My husband and I would both give the pizzas a 4/5. Keep in mind- I am SO jaded because I've had GF pizza allll over Italy. It was good- but also want to note, it was kind of like eating pizza on a bread-base, vs. it being like doughy pizza dough (if that makes any sense). We also tried the gelato. I tried 3 flavors, and we both settled on the salted caramel- which was exceptional. I would definitely come back, when passing through town. I also want to take the staff for taking extra care with my gluten allergy!!!!

The Pizza Cart has a really cool atmosphere. I enjoyed the pizza and thought the bread tasted good. Unfortunately, they were not serving gelato when we were there. This is definitely a place worth checking out. The parking lot gets crowded so it is a little hard to find a place to park.

The pizza was delicious! Service was ok, somewhat lacking in ambience. The greeter told us it would be a 35 minute wait. It was.

Ask the Community - The Pizza Cart

Do you have gluten free crust?

They do have it available.

Are dogs allowed?

If you eat on the patio area...dogs are allowed. I am sorry to hear they are close on Saturday now.

Is there any gluten free crust options?

We do have a gluten-free crust, however it’s not a gluten-free environment. The pizzas are cooked on the same oven floor, so if you’re very sensitive it may not be an option for you. Most of our gelato and sorbet is gluten-free as well.

Do you have vegan cheese?

I think they have a vegan choice.

Hands down my favorite place we ate in Cedar City!!…read more What we ordered: Arugula Salad ($14 / with chicken $19): Arugula tossed with house made lemon basil vinaigrette and finished with thin sliced prosciutto and shaved parmesan cheese. - So light and refreshing with absolutely incredible dressing! Calabrese & Sausage Pizza ($19): Hand crushed tomato sauce, aged mozzarella, house made fennel sausage & creminelli calabrese. Pollo Bianco Pizza ($18): aged fontina and parmesan cheese, red onion, toasted pistachio nuts, wood roasted chicken and fresh rosemary. Portion sizes were generous, service was incredible, and food was delicious! Couldn't recommend more!

I ordered the Fennel Sausage Pizza, which came with "Hand crushed tomato sauce, house made fennel sausage, aged and smoked mozzarella, parmigiano-reggiano." (Centro Woodfired Pizzeria, 2026). It was a delicious pizza. The crust was very well made with a light crispiness and a good chew. The sauce offered a great balance between acidity and sweetness. The fennel sausage was good, but it was noticeably missing that great fennel flavor. It was very subtle and missing the actual fennel seeds in the sausage, that I am accustomed too. Overall, it was a great pizza and I would order it again. The arugula salad that I ordered was on point. It came with a generous amount of fresh arugula, shaved Parmesan cheese, sliced prosciutto, and a delicious house made lemon basil vinaigrette. All the flavors played well together. I liked that they did not over dress the salad, which allowed the other flavors to independently shine. I would certainly order this salad again. My friends ordered the Gorgonzola Salad, which was also great. They certainly did not hold back on the cheese and bacon. They also ordered a custom pie. They loved it. The service was quite welcoming and amiable. I liked the conversation and positive attitudes of the employees. They offer comfortable inside seating. This place is definitely worth the visit when one is in town.

While ordering at the counter, I needed to make a quick adjustment after getting confused about one of the items. During that moment, a 'white' gentleman was waiting behind me, and instead of simply acknowledging him with "I'll be with you shortly," the lady staff apologized to him for my delay in ordering (according to her). Shortly after, while I was still in the middle of ordering and asking about tea options, she abruptly moved on to take his order without any explanation or communication. The interaction felt dismissive and uncomfortable as well I felt strong I am treated with racism, especially in the condition when I was pregnant who crave all good food.... As for the food, most of it was enjoyable. The scrambled eggs on the croissant and the pancakes were well done. However, the onion soup was overly salty, likely due to the cheese which was in the soup and also on the bread. Another downside, especially as first-time visitors, was the lack of guidance. We weren't informed that water was self-serve, and only realized it after noticing another guest getting it themselves. Interestingly, when leaving, we saw staff pouring water for newly seated guests, which added to the inconsistency. Overall, the food showed effort from the kitchen, but the service experience was disappointing. The 2-star rating is mainly in appreciation of the quality of the dishes. Cafe is quite small and we felt hot, as there's only a portable AC that couldn't accommodate that size of room. Not recommended place, even this is one of the rarest cafe in town. Rather to spend money to somewhere worthy and respect you as guest, no matter what roots you have.

When the food arrived, both the burger and salad looked promising, but sometimes, as one knows, looks can be deceiving. For a cheese burger, the burger was a little undersized, in my opinion, and although the quality of the beef was very good and tasted quite good, I could not overlook the fact, that they served the burger with a cold bun. That mishap really bothers me. Cold bread on a burger, simply does not work. I am assuming somebody just missed a step, but that one extra missed step put a huge let down on the burger. My friend's chicken Caesar salad looked promising, but unfortunately, the chicken was very over-salted. You could consume a few pieces of the chicken before becoming overwhelmed with salt. We left the chicken, but ate the salad, which was good. We notified, the server regarding the over salting of the chicken, and she stated she would let the prep team know. No apology nor willingness to make it up. The service was friendly enough, but if you ask me if things could have been better, I would say, "absolutely." Toast those buns and taste your food before it makes it to the pass.
