We were in town on vacation and decided to try their pizza--and we're so glad we did! We ordered the Chicago Meat Lovers XL and were told it would be about a 20-minute wait, which worked out perfectly since we walked around the mall while waiting. Just a heads-up: Brian Head is a small town, so there aren't a ton of stores to browse, but it was still a nice way to pass the time. We ended up taking the pizza back to our place, and wow--it was SO good. You can actually watch the cooks make your pizza as soon as you order, which immediately gave us confidence in the quality. We almost didn't come here because of the 3.2 rating but saw all the 1s were from a good while ago. Plus there were only 2 other restaurants open and the Thai restaurant had recent bad reviews and we weren't in the mood for Mexican. The cashier was friendly but could tell she didn't want to be there. The kids delivering the food were doing awesome. They were speedy and super friendly to everyone and made sure each table had what they needed. The restaurant is filled with sports memorabilia. The pizza was decent. It was on the pricier side but I guess that is because it's right by the ski lodge and there aren't many food options in the area. There are a few tvs in the restaurant but they refused to put on a football game for the biggest tv there. They said that they only kept one channel for that particular tv. Worst pizza we have ever tasted. It was like dry cardboard crust with zero flavor. We ordered 1/2 supreme and the other 1/2 just cheese. They charged us for a whole supreme pizza then added a charge for adding jalapeños to the supreme side. Even though they did not have to put the supreme toppings on 1/2 of it but charged us for it. Our family came here the weekend of Spring Break & the owner didn't allow our service puppy to assist me with my dining. Most of our family were already seated & waiting on us to arrive. When we did, he quickly said that no puppy is a service animal & that we couldn't dine in & he was kicking us out. He made a big deal about it in front of the entire restaurant & mumbled under his breath where my kids & others heard "see that's not a service dog if you have to drag it out". However, our service dog has been also trained to stay together as a family & he was confused why I had to leave some others behind. He's a hurding type of dog. I'm a military vet with stage IV breast cancer & we are training him to help me with my health needs. I really don't need to share the details but I felt compelled to do so because of the owners lack of empathy & knowledge. Under federal & Utah State laws, a service puppy is considered a service dog. That's how you have to train a dog from an early age for your health needs. In addition, the owner is very unprofessional saying unkind things & being unapologetic. We went next door to eat at the Mexican place (Roasles Mexican restaurant) & we had a great experience & our service dog was welcomed. My husband went back to talk the owner about the situation without me, but the owner not only didn't want to have a conversation but said "service dogs also need to be over 25lbs & the reason why you were able to go next door is because they don't speak English". We have him recorded saying that & I wish we can include an audio of this. Not only was this owner insulting to other establishments next door along with not complying with federal & state laws. It tasted like a saltine cracker with 2 drops of bbq sauce and a torn up chicken tender on top (after we ordered, and the menu says grilled chicken). Heard them telling the customer sitting next to us they ran out of chicken. However, after over a $60 order the man that served the food to us had a stare and said I could not have outside food (I chose a sandwich from the said coffee shop that recommended them in the first place) mind you same building thought they would all be friendly with each other. Not to mention, after leaving the only signs I saw for no outside food were around the ticket/resort area. I guess I could have removed myself from my family and eat alone when it wasn't even that busy during the summer season. My apologies. Totally would understand had I not purchased food for my other four family members and I possibly saw a sign. We stopped by Pizano's around 6:30 pm on a Wednesday evening. This restaurant is supposed to be among the best in Brian Head. Ordering and payment are done at the counter; food and drinks are delivered to your table. There are both indoor and outdoor tables. Draft and bottled beer, and wine by the glass are available, but must be consumed indoors. The menu is pretty extensive for a pizza place, and includes a wide variety of pizzas, baked sandwiches, calzone, and salads. The baked sandwiches include a side of onion rings. My husband had a BBQ chicken sandwich and I had the meatball sub. The sandwiches were very good and the onion rings (which came with a dip) were outstanding. The sauce had a good amount of heat-enough to leave a slow burn on the lips-and we really enjoyed the crispy skin on them. We ordered a build your own pizza and really enjoyed it. The blonde server with curly hair who originally took our order came to tell our family to, "Be considerate because the she couldn't take ANY orders over the phone." During our 5 second cheer. We were exploring and found Pizanos next to the general store. Businesses close early in Brian Head. When we arrived it was take out only. The room was decorated with Los Angeles sports teams. The restaurant was crowded we ordered a Big Tony, after a short wait we returned to the hotel. The pizza has great toppings, cheese and a really good, light, crisp crust.
