Came up to Merrick to visit my friend who got married over the weekend. Ended up eating here a lot and enjoyed it! Go for the chicken; go for the All The Way burger; go for the ribs! I ate here because I saw that Guy Fieri came here and recommended this place, but that was a HUGE mistake. Maybe the food was good then, but it sure isn't now. Came in for lunch about a month ago with my husband and we were the only two in the place (that should've been the sign for us to leave). We ordered the Marinated Skirt Steak wrap and the Seared Sesame Chicken wrap to go. We waited 25 minutes for our food to be ready (let me repeat we were the ONLY ones in the place) but we didn't complain because we were so excited for this awesome food Guy Fieri loved. During our wait though, I couldn't help but notice how dirty the counters and floors were. Since we were both starving, as soon as our food was ready and we got into the car we started eating. I only took three bites out of my wrap, my husband took two out of his, and then we both had to throw them out - they were completely soggy to the point where the tortilla was falling apart as soon as you tried to pick it up. Came here because I saw it on Triple D. The bf had the Cuban sandwich, I had the steak wrap with sweet potato fries. Steak wrap was ok, I enjoyed the fries more. The bf loved the Cuban and there were no complaints that it didn't have enough pickles as we noticed lots of people here on yelp had a problem with. Is it a place we will go out of our way to go to again? Probably not, but that's because we live in NY where there are hundreds of places to eat. Sad to see so many mixed reviews. We catered for my girlfriends bridal shower at the house. The food was fantastic. Everyone was asking where we got it from. A young man delivered the food. He was very nice and right on time. We had both sandwiches and wraps. The steak and onion sandwiches were delicious. We also had side salads and fruit. 4 baskets full of wraps and sandwiches and it pretty much all went! They were even in nice wicker containers. The presentation was great. I would highly recommend them for catering. Not sure about their in house experience as I read many negative in house reviews but our catering experience was great. I would highly recommend them based on our experience. read more

Food was excellent and a little over priced .The guy behind the counter with the tie, guess he thinks he is important there was very rude and does not know how to talk to his guests. Great, flavorful, SIMPLE burger. Spinach is great too. The shrimp and scallop salad is a MUST HAVE though... it has avocados and a lovely citrus vinaigrette. Things are a little expensive, thats the only downside. read more

ok i've been coming here longer then the kids working here have been alive! approx, 40+ years and tonight was the worse service i ever experienced ever! it seemed to me that if you didn't put at least a dollar bill in their tip cup they threw you at the bottom of the pile! i watched while customer after customer came in after me ,ordered and received their food and left while i just continued to wait with me and my cane for a freaking rare hamburger and two hot dogs and a small fry and small coke. it took about 25 minutes at least for me to finally get my order,and i was not happy!!! and of course the owner was not there!! so you know what happens when the boss is away? the rats obviously play. i'm not sure i will even come back. the woman at the counter i practically had to beg her for my soda,which is usually is the first thing they prepare, but not tonight. i surely hope the boss gets to read this review because he shouldn't be leaving this crew alone, they can't be trusted to run his business properly! bad,bad,bad pit stop, shame on you!! you didn't deserve my business tonight,and i wasn't the only unhappy customer either!! the guy walking out the door with me was barking about the very same problems!!!!! you need to change this staff up. they are just not responsible enough with your business in their hands!! now, for my 52 mile trip home. and next time my dinner choice will be different, sadly to say but i don't need this aggravation with my dinner!! and to think i had to pay for the pleasure. thanks so much "pit stop". from: a very long time, unhappy customer!!! read more

Very torn from this place. The food was good all in all but in the end its the price that's the killer. I ordered the combination and my GF ordered the Steak fajitas and total W/O the app and 3 drinks was $70 before tip. We enjoyed the food but the vibe and overall environment felt like a place where you could get a much better bargain. good food and solid service but overall not worth the price. Ordered your family kickback and it was TERRIBLE! the ribs were hard and not as hot as expected to be they were loaded with sauce and tasted horrendous. The mashed potatoes were HORRIBLE, and the chicken was hard and cold. For the fries were GREASY and mushy. What is up with the cornbread with the meal? that makes no sense what so ever. All and all the meal was inedible and unappetizing. I live on a block that GPS does not recognize and I told the person who took my phone order exactly where I was located. Why was I not surprised to see the driver calling me to find out where I lived? Unfortunately it took him almost 15 minutes to correct his mistake.(He went to Beltagh Ave by the Wantagh HS. NO ONE LIVES THERE!!!) I refuse cold food deliveries and did the same here. Get the instructions right! Whether it be something as simple as NO ICE in the soda or specific delivery instructions. Not ordering from them again. Their best apology"why let the food go to waste? Let us offer you a discount" NO, YOU SHOULD HAVE OFFERED THE FOOD FOR FREE. But that makes me qualified to say that this food sucks.I don't know how this place is still in business! I wonder how much he paid the food network to get on the show. COLD bad precooked low grade hamburgers,served cold and old, that they have the balls to make you wait ten minutes for.Its probably how long it takes the "cook " to stop laughing at you.
