After purchasing my food, I walked out to my truck and started to have some of what I bought because I was embarking on a long ride to upstate New York & One of the soups that I got had a very odd and funny and tasted like Flour, not good.... So MINUTES after purchasing, I went back inside and told the young man at the counter as I put down the fill to the top soup container down, that it did not taste right , And asked to exchange for something else He said no, you cannot return food And I said it did not taste right and I just bought it minutes ago He said you have to pay for another one I told him what I wanted , and he gave me the price And I looked at them and I said are you sure about this? Charging me for this.??? And once again he repeated, you cannot return food items , during this , I was speaking very softly in the store, so nobody heard about my displeasure with the soup, and out of respect for the establishment I kept it very quiet , I handed my credit card to pay for another soup and said to him softly, you're making a big mistake . Wanted to like this place so bad...but they just fell completely short. Our first and probably our last time there. The sazini, which they are "known for," was honestly just terrible - to the point where my boyfriend and I threw it out. It was extremely oily (as shown in the picture attached). We couldn't tell the difference from the chicken cutlet to the bacon or the cheese - it all just tasted like pure grease. I took one bite and that was enough for me. The Kama was alright. We ate that first and didn't particularly enjoy it, but after biting into the sazini it was much, much better than initial thought. The best part of the meal were the sweet potato fries with the cinnamon maple dipping sauce. Would definitely recommend this combo! Also, not the warmest welcoming environment either for our first experience there. Overall, just a very awkward vibe and very sad experience after all these great reviews. As I was ordering food and a teen was helping me kindly, a man walked in and said he was a friend of the owner and he wanted his meal comped as he was told he could have. The server said the owner wasn't there so he couldn't do that now. The man becnasty and walked out. Next thing I know, the father of the owner comes from the back and starts YELLING at the teen loudly and publicly. He was cursing him out. The kid quit right then. The father then started to talk badly about him to me. I just couldn't take it. I yelled at him saying you donyell at an employee like that and he had some nerve yelling at him for doing the right thing. I left the store and saw the teen walking away. I followed him for 3 blocks and finally caught up to him telling him he was right and that I stood up for him. He thanked me, but you could see he was devastated. That's why I stopped working 5 years ago while still young. Can't take these controlling owners who don't know how to handle situations. The food is cold and greasy anyway. read more

We came to this cute restaurant for lunch in September, I've been lazy about writing the review It's a nice very open bright restaurant. The employees are all very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Chiquis Wrap (Grilled chicken, Arugula, roasted red peppers, Goat cheese, fig glaze). it was delicious. The chicken was flavorful & tender with tangy goat cheese. S ordered the Judge Wrap (Braised short ribs, sweet & sour onions relish, muenster cheese, baby spinach, Roasted Garlic herb aioli). This was also delicious with tender beef & a scrumptious garlic aioli. We shared an order of the sweet potato fries....... I love sweet potato fries with a mayo/ketchup mixture. Overall this is great place for lunch or dinner. This place has come back with a vengeance! When I heard that Souper Fry were back in the neighborhood I jumped for joy. There is nothing here I do not love. Where do I even begin... Their hand cut fries. You get a generous amount in a paper bag and they are down right delicious. Don't forget to try some of their dipping sauces. My usual is the roasted garlic. I could put that sauce on anything and everything. Next is their wrapinis - a wrap warmed and pressed to dare I say it...a sandwich? My favorite is the Kama with roast turkey, Brie, Granny Smith apples and honey mustard. A close second fav is the Sanzini of course. 11/6/22 I've heard of this place and it's been on my radar for years but for whatever reason, I never ate here until just the other day. I was impressed with their creative menu. The vibe in here is pretty relaxed and the workers all seemed to be having fun while taking customer orders. They offered cool suggestions and were very efficient. My wife and I ordered a Napsadilla (chicken quesadilla) and a Juan Epstein (which was similar to a Cuban in a wrap). We also split a creamy corn and chorizo soup. The Napsadilla was really good which loaded with juicy chicken breast, but the highlights for me was the Juan Epstein and the soup. The wrap was fantastic with just the right amount of meat and condiments on a toasty wrap. The corn and chorizo soup was off the charts. Great flavor and filling. The counter person took our order, asked us to have a seat then brought it out to us. It was recommended we try a Sazini wrap on a future visit because that's what they're known for. Well I'm not sure why it took me so long to get here for the first time, but I certainly am not going to wait very long before I return. Keep up the great work Souper Fry. 4.5 stars! read more

My friend and I have now had the exact same experience with this place: they have the most erratic hours making A restaurant or food service business ridiculously managed. What in the world would possess someone from running a restaurant that is open daily with a one-hour closed period From 4 o'clock to 5 o'clock? There are a lot of choices to choose from. You can get more than two sauces for an additional $0.25. The appetizer sampler had onion rings, chicken tenders, mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers. The fries. The very first fry I put in my mouth was COLD! What in the world?! Are these fries not made to order? Another disappointing thing at this establishment. The fries were just okay. Not worth getting a large. The sauces. We got garlic aloi and roasted red pepper. They were actually good, and that's one reason why they earned two stars. The appetizer sampler. All of it was trash. It was all frozen crap that is just easily heated up in the fryer! What a waste of $8. Sigh. Between the fries and the appetizer sampler we wasted $13. This little slice of heaven is in the heart of the Bellmore Merrick central high school district and has been making the most banging wraps and food I have ever eating since I was in high school. Known for their almighty Sazini which is chicken cutlets, melted mozz, bacon, and roscoe sauce one of the greatest creations known to man! But they are also known for their duhhh their soups! Which change day to day as well as their wraps, burgers, Knishes, quesadillas, and chopped salads! This place is delicious and so happy that they deliver now (although it is definitely worth picking up.) they're known for they're wrapini's which is - as you can probably tell but the name - cross between a wrap and a panini. My husbands a huge fan of the original Sazini Wrapini and since I don't eat meat or cheese I go for the Benny Boo or customize my own. I do wish they had more vegetable options because the mixed vegetables are usually heavy on cauliflower which has gotten a little old since I've ordered it so many times lol! The platter they give you for quesadillas is also very impressive! The quesadillas are huge and comes with diced tomato and a avocado as well as sour cream. I was here a few times a couple of years ago and remember being very impressed. So when I was in the area again today, I decided to stop. I remember getting a great salad with a lot of add ins for well under $10. Prices have definitely jumped up because today a small salad, a wrap, and two small soups cost $35. My salad was quite good. The ingredients were all very fresh. The dressing tastes as if it was out of a bottle. But the soups left a lot to be desired. The potato had no chunks of potato. It was just blended. No great flavor. Nothing to make me want to get it again. The 13 bean was ok. No great flavor. I wouldn't get it again either. But the big thing is that they weren't hot. Luke warm at best. MY FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD SPOT IS BACK BABY! I used to come here all the time when I was in high school and was devastated when I heard about the accident. Today was the first day back and the sazini's are as good as they were before. The fries at souperfry are by far my favorite out of any place. First of all, I love a tech-savvy establishment. You can text in your order which is great. I did just that and received a reply indicating my order would be ready in 15 minutes. I drove on over and the place is packed with kids. I had to wait a little bit but it was understandable. If you're ever in the Merrick area of Long Island, I'd recommend stopping here for their famous "Sazini". This is what I ordered here yesterday and it was executed well. Now before you go they do close from 4pm-5pm I believe. It's no 5 star restaurant but it is a 5 star grab and go. Staff is friendly, they have fountain drinks and bottled whichever you prefer, and their menu is filled with options. While they're known for their Sazini I happened to like their quesadillas a bit better, they're big, packed with your meat/ veggies of choice, and delicious! I also got a sazini wrap. The loaded potato was good flavor wise. But there was nothing in it. I'm used to potato soup having chunks of potato in it maybe some bacon scallions etc. with a little bit of cheese on top. This came out in a plastic container even though I ate in (I guess they serve it that way to everyone??) and it wasn't even hot.
