Crab Cake Dinner
Monique P.

We stopped in while we were in the area and were throughly pleased with the beautiful views this restaurant offered. Luckily, it was a quiet Sunday and the restaurant was not crowded. Our hostess sat us right away next to a window with a view water and bridge. Our waitress was friendly and took order while giving suggestions for us to possibly try. We decided to share the fried calamari, crab dip, half Maryland half cream of crab soup, mussels, and crap cake entree which came with two good sized crab cakes full of sweet lump crab and sweet potatoes fries. Everything was flavorful and delicious except the soup which was super watery and bland. We were not a fan of the color either. Our waitress promptly remove the soup from our bill. Overall, we had a great experience at The Pier Restaurant and hope to visit again in the future.

Best water views on the island. Most seating options: Completely outside by the water; outside in their covered bar area with high tops, which is great for windy days; and a renovated indoors dining area with a large bar. The vibes are great, and the food and service are comforting. We went with the crap dib, the haddock basket (basically fish and chips) and the fish tacos. Finished off with a coconut Smith Island cake. Would recommend.

This summer marked my second visit to The Pier while visiting MD. My first visit was in July of 23 for dinner with my family. This year I returned for lunch. The daytime views are simply beautiful. On both occasions the service was decent and the food was good. I must admit my drinks this summer were more on the weak side and mostly ice. For lunch we had wings and crab cake sandwiches. The wings definitely could have been cooked longer and the Crab Cake was tasty. While I do not have any major complaints I do think they are on the pricier side for what we had. Just A Note: If you sit outside be prepared to protect your food from the birds. Lol.

Finally got around to trying this place, I've always walked by and thought the vibes would be perfect--on the water, get to watch the boats and the sunset--perfect. And the location is indeed great! The food? Not so much. Not that it was terrible, but it was definitely not worth it for the price. And even if the location is amazing, it's still SOMD and there's no reason for the food to be that price. They were busy (Saturday) so service was slow, but that was understandable and they were all very polite. I probably won't be back unless it's for a drink or something they don't make in house, like the oysters.

Came here for the first time over the weekend and really enjoyed this place. I love all the windows in the restaraunt so you can really take in the beautiful view it offers. For food started off with fried pickles and oysters then had some wings and a burger. I thought all the food tasted really delicious. It was a big group of us and our server was very sweet and attentive even tho we were a hectic crowd. Will be coming here again next time I'm in town!

The best thing about this place is the views! Great location! The food was very good. I enjoyed the clam chowder and the haddock sandwich. I apologize for not asking a photo of the haddock, I was 3/4 of the way through it when I remembered. The staff was great! Stop by and check them out. Tell me what you think!

I would give it a 3.5 but the food is just okay. We came in the afternoon and got a few drinks, the crab dip and some soup. The dip was very heavy and not the best flavor wise but the drinks were solid. We had a table with a view so the scenery made up for the food. Service was good, no complaints. They had lots of waiters where we sat inside so there was always someone you can call over.

On Mother's Day, I placed an order )for pick up) for me and my mom. My mom wanted the crab cake dinner and I got the stuffed shrimp. We both ordered the garden salad as a side and it was so fresh. That was the best house salad I've had in a long time. She really enjoyed her crab cakes. Very good seafood dinners.

Nice dinner spot on the water. Husband and I joined a local friend here for dinner this evening. We all enjoyed the food, relaxing atmosphere and quick service. For a starter, we shared a crab pretzel (see photo). This pretzel, paired with the house made crab dip and cheese was to die for. I would go back and eat this over and over again! I ordered a pound of steamed shrimp with a side of melted butter for dipping. Nothing special about this. It was just the normal peeled shrimp. (Not to say it wasn't good) Our friend ordered the Beer Battered Haddock with a side of Mac n Cheese and Hush Puppies. He stated that his sides were really good and the fish was also good, but again nothing that really stood out. My husband ordered the Crab Cake Sandwich, and this... this one stood out to us. The crab cake was cooked to perfection. My husband described it as "a crispy crab cake that was moist inside and made with real crab". We all tasted it and agreed that it was the winner in dinner choices this evening. Overall, I highly suggest getting anything with crab as those dishes were our favorite of the night. Right on Solomons island. The whole feel of this little town is super adorable. Great place for half a day's trip. This place is super cute and has a bar on the pier that looks out to the Patuxent river. We came here for brunch but ordered their lunch menu. Their Mac and cheese bites, and their crab cake was good. The crab meat in their crab cake was big and juicy. I would absolutely come back to this for their view and friendly service!

Amazing views of Maryland. Good food and lots of it. Service was personable and fast. It is worth Coming here for the views. Bar was busier than the restaurant.

We decided to take a last minute, unplanned trip to Soloman's Island! When we got here, we were a little early to check in to our Airbnb, so we walked around town looking for a place to eat! The Pier was a great choice! A beautiful view from almost every table, friendly and prompt service, and delicious food rounded out our experience to make it the perfect first stop on our little weekend away! We highly recommend this place, and there is a good possibility we will try brunch in the morning!

Waitress dropped ranch over us and did not say anything. She then went to the side of the bar and drank wine. Wild.

Not Jerry's! It's like a time warp to the 80s or 90s: metal counters, floor tile in different shades of tan, and purple florescent lights that would have looked perfect in a 1993 school photo. Like the food pyramids of yore, the food is 80% processed carbs. Curiosity and hunger brought me in, but once I got inside and looked at the pictures on the menu, I had to admit defeat - I simply couldn't order either a sub or pizza, despite the restaurant's namesake. So I went with the salad and onion rings. The salad, mostly lettuce, as expected, was pretty lame, and I didn't detect any onions in the rings; I'd be surprised if it wasn't fried air. But the sauce - highlight of the meal! With an oily pinkish-red color and a bit of MSG-kick, I'd bet you could use it to convince any picky eater than a stick of asparagus was actually a french fry. But unfortunately, I've got to review the restaurant on the whole package, not just the sauce...

You climb a flight of stairs to get to the restaurant. The inside is attractively decorated. Since it was a beautiful day, we chose to sit out on the covered porch, with views of the water. There were a number of parties there for Friday at lunch, but it was not full. We did not make a reservation for lunch, but I understand it is necessary at dinner. Our server was pleasant. We shared the fried green tomato appetizer (four slices, with marinara sauce & cheese). I ordered the chicken Milanese off the lighter menu. It was a fried cutlet, served with arugula and shaved parmesan, with a touch of a lemon dressing. Quite tasty. Others in the party ordered the lobster ravioli (which looked delicious) and the Bolognese. I would give the food five stars. There were a few hiccups with the service (having to repeat requests for bread, for a box for leftovers), but nothing that detracted from an overall nice experience. I would definitely go again.
