Four of us went to dinner here on Monday night. Very few other patrons were seated outside so we got a primo view of the sunset, which was excellent. We ordered the hush puppies, which were tasty and came with honey butter. The other 3 in my party ordered a dozen oysters and they seemed to like them (I don't eat them), although they commented that they were small. We also had 2 surf and turf tacos, 2 crab cake sandwiches, and a bottle of reasonably priced cabernet. Everyone enjoyed the food and the wine, and we liked that the crab cakes had huge hunks of crab. Very average and inconsistent. Sometimes this place is packed with tourists. I would say it's a tourist trap as it is an actual restaurant on the water whiz is really cool, massive place with good bar seating. Seafood is bland, steaks are dry, but the beer is cold. Oysters and crab cakes are good. If it's not busy worth a try. Not much better than when stories was here. read more

The Pier is a nice waterfront restaurant on Solomon's Island. We stopped in for a quick lunch: sandwiches, soup, fish and chips. Our meal was tasty and served pretty quickly. Great service and beautiful view of the harbor. read more

Love this place first and foremost for the view and atmosphere. The menu has a good selection of items but the execution and flavor falls just a little short. I hear they are releasing a new menu soon and I am extremely hopeful that it will surpass the present items. Other restaurants on the island have professional executive chefs with interesting gourmet specials.. That being said.. the crab pretzel is one of my favorite items and is excellent with the mustard dipping sauce. The burger is expensive but is very large and excellent. Unfortunately the crab imperial stuffed shrimp was a disappointment and lacked flavor. read more

Have gone a few times for lunch as well as for dinner. The only thing I can say this place has going is the location. It's over priced and the food is not good. The crab dip as well as the crab soup tasted like someone got heavy handed on the celery salt. Every bite of the crab cakes I had a shell, I understand it happens occasionally however this was more than it should be. The popcorn shrimp was butterflied with tail still on, not really kid friendly for a kids meal. read more

This is a place you would want to go, only for the view and drinks. The food was poor and the service wasn't great. The wings were breaded, and not particularly crispy or flavorful. I also had the country ham grilled cheese. I wasn't expecting very much but it was 3 slices of deli ham on a grilled cheese. Sweet potato fried were cold. But it's in Maryland so I expect the seafood to be amazing. I ordered a hot toddy and I thought they was greet because I never ordered one at an restaurant and it was perfect. I also ordered crab soup it came out ice cold. I did not eat it and I took it home and threw it out. The soup didn't taste bad it was just super cold and barley had crab in it. For appetizer I had let me be honest I can't even remember but it was good. My friend had a salad and added crab. It was a big salad and she enjoyed it. The atmosphere is top notch and the service is too. I got mussels for appetizer it was ok. Nothing special. For main dish I got the mixed seafood plate in which there was a fillet fish , scallops and shrimp. I got the kale salad which was really tasty and baked potato. We had our wedding reception here and let me just say that their upstairs room is incredible. The views and sunset over the water while we ate dinner was indescribable. The food was amazing, the bartending staff was attentive and went out of their way to make sure everyone had a fabulous time. Went here with my parents during the Friday lunch hours to see it was quite busy. They didn't take reservations and patrons could seat themselves wherever they'd like which made us a little nervous since there was nobody to greet us or tell us that upon entering the restaurant. We just flocked to where everyone was eating in the back of the restaurant. We waited a little while before a waitress came and attended to us. She didn't seem all too pleasant during our experience and only check in on us once/didn't bring us napkins or utensils until we asked for it with our entrees. The crab dip was good and a good appetizer to share for 2-3 people at most. Entrees were served at the same time and had great presentation although my burger was not as pink as I had wanted/ordered it since they didn't have the option to cook it medium...only offered it as "pink or no pink" so the quality wasn't the best. The chocolate cake could have been more moist but the presentation was awesome. A little on the pricey side so be prepared when you go here. All in all, a nice venue with great views of the water with only the lackluster customer service and food prep quality issues to work on improving. read more

So I can totally understand why they were packed. Which is fine. Just means it will take a little longer. We were seated right away. Server was nice. Told us it was only her 3rd day and had a huge area to service. We ordered an appetizer and our lunches. The hush puppies took about 30 minutes to arrive. But wow! They melted in my mouth so I thoroughly enjoyed them. But then things got worse from here. Waitress offered to refill our drinks. But it took her a long time. Then 30 minutes later we still don't have our food. Another server noticed and went to check. Brought out our child's meal. And said ours would be out. Took another 10 minutes for it to arrived. Surprised at how big the salad actually was and it was tasty. His food was really good. Forgot to get a picture of it. Th entire dining experience took just under 2 hours. Even with us bringing up our problem to their attention numerous times they didn't offer us anything in return for our horrible experience. Very disappointed in the management of this restaurant. The service staff needs better training and give them smaller service areas. I understand that they had a special event later in the day but that is no reason to give shotty service to customers. We appreciate that the staff apologized but still. I'm not saying a free meal but some discount as our slow service could have got them additional customers and waisted our time. read more

This was my favorite restaurant until my most recent visit. Having been away on military duty I insisted the family have brunch here. This became a regular thing of ours until the pandemic. More recently I went in for brunch. I was alone with my son and not only was the food of extremely poor quality, the waitress had a terrible attitude. I had to ask for every refill, and every other thing that a normally decent and well trained server knows you either ask for or you bring automatically.....like napkins. Piss poor attitude. I order for a dozen oysters, she brings me a half dozen. The first batch looks dried out like it had been sitting out. A fresh shucked oyster doesn't look like leather. And if the restaurant is shucking ahead of the need-no thank you. I order sausage-she brought me bacon. I left her a rather generous tip. But not only does she need to find another profession-my favorite restaurant lost a dedicated customer. We won't be returning any time soon. read more

We went to spend money, the female manager looked like a clansman's wife, and gave a half hearted apology, not even offering to provide free drink anything.
