A good spot, good food but the ambience isn't quite there. Cheap design and decor in my opinion.

A nice American restaurant that has cornbread that's as soft as cake. With a barn type theme and vibe. It offers a nice laid back experience. Ambiance - this place is beautiful! I will absolutely give it that, doesn't really need any improvements. Minus the front door, it violently swings both ways and almost took me out when coming in. Service - they set good expectations that the kitchen runs really slow. I felt well taken care of by most of the bar staff. There was an employee grazing on drink garnishes and I found it very odd and a little off-putting. Taking cucumbers and dipping them in the salt rimmer multiple times was a little ick. There was one gentleman who was doing exceedingly well on the back bar and training staff which is to be expected, they are new. Took forever to cash out and I think they will eventually get a system to make this all faster. Food & drinks - pretty decent. Everything needed a few tweaks. We got a couple of seasonal cocktails - the bloody marg WC3 cosmo. Both were okay. Pretty good flavor but they aren't quite craft cocktails. The cosmo has cucumber and had bits of seed in it - it really should be strained. Overall flavor was good just kind of basic. The cocktail menu was very heavy with fall flavors that seemed more like thanksgiving and Christmas flavors that we have all likely grown out of by this time. Fried green tomatoes almost hit the spot but they need a little more salt, flavor just fell slightly flat because of that but the pimento cheese was nice. The buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was not what we expected, I think most people would expect fried chicken but it was a chicken thigh which a little franks red hot thrown on top of the Mac and cheese. The tomato soup was certainly home made and you can tell because of the lack of color to it - when you blend tomatoes the oxygen makes them less red so you really have to cook them down to regain that red color and this didn't quite happen for the soup, it was very cream heavy with lots of herbs that made it taste fine but not like tomato soup. The grilled cheese was fantastic however. This place most certainly has the capacity to be great and I bet in a few months will improve. Went for lunch and totally loved the food. We had fried green tomatoes (served with pimento cheese), skillet cornbread (amazing), Caesar salad, and of course, Mac n cheese. Everything was delicious and Amy our server was very helpful describing the specials. Will definitely go again! read more

OVER RATED (Hardly "upscale")! OVERPRICED ! Many reviews probably written by friends or family of employees... First and probably the last time we will eat there. To begin with they don't mention on landing page that you should probably get reservations. There were two open tables and only two couples but they couldn't seem to figure out how to seat us. Hard to believe $74... Reuben sandwich smashburger 1 ice tea and one $ 10 cocktail. You have to read the fine print because they charge you 2.5% credit card processing. (They said that's "normal" for Leonardtown) There's the up charge you for changing from fries to mash potatoes. The green tomatoes for over breaded! And they have a hidden charge in the burger for a small dollop of cheddar charged, (wasn't an extra) was included. My stomach is still churning from the recycled oil on the fried green tomatoes. They can't seem to differentiate bringing out appetizer first. Brought it out altogether! Sever doesn't listen. Saw the manager he was very unapologetic about the whole thing. read more

The fries were great. The fried pickles literally came with 4 spear-like pickles that weren't even dill. If they were dill someone left an important ingredient out. The recommendation was the pork chop and it was good according to our friend. We wanted a couple other dishes but the waitress said they were sold out due to delivery from local farm. Potential...with room to mature their processes. Food was very good and Mel was our engaging server. Areas to improve and suspect Mac will; - employ OneTable for reservation capability. Our Wednesday eve wait for four (4) was ~50 minutes; we also sat ourself in the bar area once available to enjoy a beverage. Reservations are not currently offered and would provide greater efficiency and expectation management. - unable to transfer bar beverages to our table tab. Can't recall the last time a seamless purchase(s) wasn't possible at a restaurant. And it's called Tap and Table! But separate events at this time. - food and the Bloody Margarita is "really good." Finally made it here tonight and it was really very good, overall. It was great to see items on the menu that aren't everywhere else as well. All of the staff were great! I got the meatball appetizer and mac & cheese and cornbread sides (wanted to try a few things) and I would get them again. I'm very picky about mac & cheese and this was decent with a good amount of sauce. I'm even pickier about cornbread and they got that perfect!! The rest of the family got Nashville hot chicken and french dip sandwiches that they also liked. We arrived just before five on a Monday and left about 45 minutes later. The only reason I can't give five stars is that the meatballs and chicken sandwiches weren't hot. We will definitely give them another try. read more

Oysters Rockefeller was a special appetizer in March 2025 and it was the BEST I have ever had--crisp bacon, creamy spinach, fresh oysters, and cheeses. Amazing! Followed with Farmers Salad and Southwest Salad--also delicious. read more

Willing to give the new place a 2nd try so I stopped by for lunch. Place was empty. Burger and fries a complete failure. Burger was oddly lacking in any real flavor and just dripping with grease. Fries were skinny little limp floppy undercooked and under seasoned potatoes. I should have really just gone to Wendy's. Anyone want to bet this lease doesn't get renewed?? It's really a shame because they have a decent space and ample parking but just can't prepare even basic food well. I most certainly will not try a 3rd time. read more

The restaurant looks very nice inside and our waitress was friendly, but those were pretty much the only positives of our experience. When my husband and I walked in, an elderly woman on her way out told me that the wait was long. I thought she was perhaps being sarcastic because, at the time, most of the tables were empty, but she definitely was not. It took so long to get our food after ordering that we ended up having to take it to go. In addition to the slow kitchen, the food itself was quite bland. The coleslaw tasted like how I would imagine styrofoam with light mayonnaise would taste and the crab cake had no flavor at all, even with the provided sauce on top of it. My husband ordered the pork chop and it was really dry and lacking in flavor, too. Three beers, our two entrees, and a tip came out to $90, and it was definitely not an experience that was even close to being worth that much. It's too bad because the menu and concept of the restaurant had a lot of promise, but, unfortunately, it has been poorly executed. read more

The renovation is beautiful, staff super friendly and attentive. This place is just what this area is missing; a fun, fresh, farm to table menu. We had a great overall experience! I had a blood orange margarita (strong and sweet) and my husband had a beer at the bar while we waited for a table. Our bartender was friendly, our drinks were cold, tasty, and prepared quickly. A high-top table in the bar area opened up, so we sat ourselves and Brian came right over to clean off the table, greet us, and give us menus. We liked sitting in the bar area, which was clean and cozy but not over-crowded. We had the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese as an appetizer. They came out pretty quickly and were hot and crisp! I had the pork chop...it was a little overcooked but still very good. But the vegetables were the highlight! So many restaurants overcook vegetables, but the broccoli was absolutely perfect, and nicely seasoned. I loved it! My husband had the portobellos, and he liked the flavorful preparation of the mushrooms. He also loved the vegetables! He especially liked the purple potatoes. He also had the sunny kale salad. Everything was fresh, the lemon dressing was light, and it was a good size. We shared the cornbread, and it was SO good! It was sweet, but not cakey, and it stayed crisp on the edges even with the honey butter. Brian was an attentive server, and made sure we had everything we needed. We were too full for dessert, but Brian mentioned that boozy versions of the milkshakes are coming soon...so we may need to save room next time!! read more

Great ambiance, friendly service, food took over an hour for a party of 3. Nashville hot chicken sandwich: chicken breast was dry, came with oddly-thick cut raw onion. Side of Mac and cheese was very good. Rattlesnake pasta: Alfredo "sauce" was more like soup, Peppers and onions were still fairly raw, no Cajun flavor as claimed, dry chicken. Chicken parm: thick dry chicken, separated watery marinara sauce, bland. They did just open two weeks ago so probably working out the kinks, although it does look like their cooking staff may not have the right experience for what the owners were going for. We all agreed we'd go back to give it one more chance. However, none of us would order the same things again. 2.5 stars Great place and menu - awful execution. read more

It was so long that the waitress came over to ask how our food was and I had to remind her I had no salad with salmon. We have been looking for a new place and this one didn't disappoint! I'm sad I didn't take pictures. Crab dip was great, Mac was good. My husband got the smash burger, it was so good! Fries are great, he got a side of ranch for dipping, if the ranch is good usually the food is good. Ranch was amazing with fresh dill! I got the kale salad and added steak. I wouldn't necessarily give it a solid 2stars but maybe 2.5? Looks really nice inside and they did a great job with ambiance and decor. Wait staff friendly and pleasant. Food ok but so far, didn't have anything "notable" or that I would say "oh man, I gotta come back for this". The one thing that made our lunch visit uncomfortable was the hvac fan blowing directly on us full blast...WE WERE FREEZING. Asked a couple of times if someone could adjust it but not sure if they did...it went off once and then came back on for the duration of our meal. Crabcake heavily seasoned and salted but appreciated some good LUMP crab, French dip ok, house-made fries "ok" but crammed into their container when served so they sogged out pretty quickly and they are on the thin side for sure. Coleslaw seemed like it was a vinaigrette dressing as there wasn't much AT ALL and in fact my friend's slaw was almost completely dry. Their milkshakes looked/sounded pretty good but we didn't try any as we were full. Maybe we need to try something like the different kinds a mac/cheese they have?? or some other Mac's "specialty" item like what would be considered one of their signature items? read more

Went there and it needs some work to compete with LTP. First we tried to set in bar area at a high top and were told there was no service for food in bar area. Need more wait staff on duty obviously. We ordered Nashville Hot Chicken and Crab-cake sandwiches. The chicken was not crispy and surely not hot. The crab-cake had no flavor. Fries tasted okay but soaked with oil, fryer not near hot enough. Coleslaw was very basic shred with little salt. I wasn't impressed and if it wasn't for them being open only a week I would not be willing to return, but I'll wait a few months and see if they improve. read more
