They recently resurfaced several of their courts and they are superb! My husband and I started as a non-members to try it out, but quickly became members. There are daily open plays where you can walk in and always join in a game. We play 3-5 times a week in 55+ senior open play, which has a morning or afternoon session daily. It's the community of players which bring us back and we have made so many new friends on and off the courts! Give it a try! They offer free beginner classes if you're a newbie! No matter what your age is, you're going to love this place, make new friends and love the experience!

We did their pickleball 101, liked what we experienced and started to get in deeper. We joined the club. Each did private lessons with Tanner Rice (he is great), did the beginner open play today and will continue to take advantage of the programs they have. Awesome experience! Comfortable environment. Everyone is really nice and supportive. If you want to explore the world of pickleball, this is the place. At tonights Beginner Open Play, the owners were actively present making sure we were comfortable with the other participants. No one sandbagged and exploited their skill versus ours. It was a very safe, learning experience. There is absolutely no reason to feel intimidated in participating in their programs. Well done DIP!!!!!

I have been a member of Lifetime Fitness for over 20 years (based at the Plano and Allen…read morefacilities) For a place that calls itself an "Athletic Country Club" with the continually increasing prices to match, this place does not live up to the moniker. In particular, as a customer of the Allen Spa I have never understood why the spa did not have it's own bathroom facility. Massages, facials, and hair appointments frequently take a while. It is reasonable that someone would want to use the restroom before, during or after a service. The idea that you have to walk across the entire facility to the locker rooms for their 5 aged and sad looking stalls in the ladies locker room seemed ridiculous and potentially embarrassing. So the "brilliant" answer was using the much closer "family" bathroom in the "family" locker room. That was workable, but certainly not a great answer. And now they have decided that Spa clients are no longer allowed to use the "family" bathroom. I do not know the real reasons why, but I assume it has something to do with not being a "family." Locked out! So we are now fully expected to trek our foiled, caped and oily bodies across the very large and very public facility to those previously mentioned locker rooms. I know of no country club that would expect its members to parade around in such a manner, nor inconvenience their hard working stylists and therapists with a bathroom so very far away. I really wish the Lifetime would fix this situation. It makes visiting the Spa stressful rather than Zenlike and peaceful....which is how a spa should feel.

I trained with Anna Hubbard and honestly she is probably the rudest person I have ever came into contact with. She didn't pay attention to me while I was performing an exercise, she made rude and amuse comments about OTHER members (almost making fun of the way they were exercising), and she had this whole attitude towards me like she was BETTER than me. I first thought it was my imagination but after speaking with several other members regarding my experience they only CONFIRMED my HORRIBLE experience. I never give bad reviews but after almost leaving in tears because she commented on my weight and how there was no wonder why I am the size I am, I will NEVER be visiting this location again.

Warning: Fraudulent Strings and Poor Quality!…read more I had my racket strung three times with what Vistara claimed was BG65 string, but 3 string broke within a week. Frustrated, I went to another stringing place, and immediately noticed that their BG65 string looked visibly different. I asked the staff about it, and they went above and beyond to verify the authenticity of their string and provided proof. Although they couldn't comment directly on Vistara's string, it was clear from comparison that the Vistara string was a fake and very poor quality. Attaching a photo of the real string for reference. Save yourself the hassle and avoid Vistara - they are using counterfeit strings!

Pros: New facility Have area to hang individual racquets to know who is knew in cue Pro Shop 18 courts mixed badminton and pickleball Indoors Day pass is cheaper than others Function rooms with microwave, fridge, toaster, tv, tables and chairs Cons: Small filthy restrooms Small parking space for a big facility Small waiting area for a big facility - If there is a tournament going on, and you have another tournament to attend, they have you wait at the front desk which does not have seating. I suggest they should just have everyone go inside to watch the other tournaments if not full so the front desk area does not get crowded. Bad lighting, too dark Flooring is hard, does not feel padded Pickleball is directly beside the badminton courts - the balls bounce to the badminton courts which makes it very dangerous for the badminton players

Ha! the facility gets you pumped to play and the courts are lit. There is a place for those who come to watch and support to get refreshments and food. They serve alcohol here so it is great to bond with teammates before or after your games. There is lots of parking but the walk can be far to the check in center. I'm not complaining though :)

The organization of their beach leagues is a complete disaster. Although the courts are nice with…read morea nice area to watch the games, if beach volleyball is important to your child, this is NOT the organization to take seriously or make it an important part of your family's summer schedule (as of summer 2015.) If they get to play, they get to play, but maybe not. What really is disturbing is the director's attitude and inability to be polite. (See details below.) 1. We found out 3 days before the first game that the league isn't starting or ending as originally scheduled because they extended the registration deadline to get more teams even though we'd confirmed the schedule 4 days in advance. According to their admin, "beach volleyball players 'just sign up late because it's a new sport and people don't take the deadlines seriously like club volleyball, so this happens.'" The schedule will be pushed back by 2 weeks and we have the option to drop out. (gee thanks.) Each family on our team had scheduled our summer plans based on the things our kids wanted to do this summer (which included beach volleyball,) parents had already scheduled time off for travel, etc... so there are many components affected by the delay which is disappointing, but in this case unavoidable & we understand. 2. Communication with them is terrible. Since our team wasn't receiving any updates/ information/schedules about courts or what court we were on, etc... our parents had to call them multiple times for updates about schedules, court numbers, release forms, requirements, etc... 3. Finally, the director needs customer relations training. Her interaction with her customers (the people who pay to be a part of her organization and ultimately pay her salary) is quite lacking and unprofessional. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but that doesn't give her the right to be ugly to the customer because of her lack of communication and disorganization. She could have least apologized for the inconvenience, but she acted like the customers were completely unreasonable to expect the Beach at Craig Ranch to keep their end of the deal or to at least communicate in a timely manner if there might be a problem. What the director also doesn't seem to realize, is that by rescheduling, they're going to lose some teams who can't/aren't willing to change the rest of their summer plans, so this is going to be an ongoing problem because they'll be losing teams at the same time that more teams sign up.
