It's like going to Walmart for shoes. It'll do. I guess the music scene from time to time is cool. Really can't be picky in such a small town. Cheaper than most places, but.... Some servers are actually overly chatty and nice. Some are just numb. I'm not from here, so maybe I'm missing something. I always judge a restaurant by their Reuben. I'd go to Arby's first. But whatever, check them out if you want. I'm neutral. Just kind of a shame, they could pull out a couple more stops and really live up to the cute little name and corner spot they have. Found this place on Yelp- originally was going to visit the grits place but decided I wanted a good club sandwich. I loved this place bc they asked me if I wanted the bread toasted- which I don't bc toasted scratches up the top of my mouth. My first time here. It's right in down town of a small town of Forsyth. Really nice cute shops and little restaurants. So I was craving sandwiches but not wanting a sub shop. I looked it up and found this place. Came in during lunch and it was busy so I had to sit in the bar section but not at the bar. The server was nice, the place is cute it has old trinkets. So I order a sweetie and Reuben sandwich with fries. They were busy so it took a little longer but it was expected for lunch time. I was near the kitchen and you can hear the cook called out ready! It was pretty loud! Well the food was okay but I can't compare to a great Reuben sandwich I had in the past but it did the job. Overall I would come again and try something else. What a fun, local hangout! It has two places to eat. There is a bar side and a "family side". We ate in the bar. We loved the southwest egg rolls the best! Nice lunch spot in downtown Forsyth. Parking can be challenging, but it's an easy walk. I tried the Caesar wrap and the buffalo wrap. Both were good with a side of sweet potato fries. On second visit they were out of ice. I am always curious how far a business will go with service when they are compromised on something like being out of ice. Since I wanted tea, which was warm from brewing, the waitress asked if I would try it in a frosted mug from the bar. Creative solution. AND she came with a to go cup WITH ice before I left. The website states that they open at 5pm. We got there a couple of minutes after 5. We went in and it was as if they were still prepping for dinner which was fine, but several employees looked at us but never acknowledged us. Five min later we were finally greeted. We only had time to get an appetizer, so we got some fried pickles. Now every place just doesn't make fried pickles properly, some are too soggy or greasy, but at this restaurant they got it right! If you are traveling on the interstate and want to eat at a local spot you may want to try here. There is outdoor seating with a roof in case of rain that allows you and your dog to be served. The lunch menu is sandwiches and burgers. The fried okra side dish is freshly made to order and crispy with nicely sized pieces of okra lightly covered with crispy deliciousness.
