First time here and were not disappointed at all. We had an order oof the bacon sticks. Cheese and bacon on pizza crust with a side of cheese and pizza sauce. Very good and loved the pizza crust. I had the gonzo chicken panini, without jalapeños. Chunks of chicken and. Ton of melted cheese with a side of a Southwest sauce. The dough on this sandwich was again amazing. My hubby got the Niko panini (sorry pic is bad). Ham, bacon, lettuce and tomato with a side of honey lime sauce. I liked the sauce but he didn't. The only thing that would make this place better is if they also served beer to go with their awesome food menu. They have an albeit strange combination of pizza, salad, subs, wraps, and Mexican food. Somehow, they are able to pull it off. They have a great patio to sit outside and enjoy good weather, and the inside is a pleasant little dive pizza joint. I would recommend this as a family night out, date night, and a good place to bring a large group of friends/teammates. They are open late during the week, so it's a great place for college students. We got a Greek salad, which was tasty for an iceberg lettuce based salad and was pleasantly seasoned with oregano. We also got an Al Pastor pizza, which was fantastic. The Pickle is one of those places that you always mean to visit, but never quite get around to. It's a bit of a mashup between Italian and Mexican fast food, with pizzas, calzones, quesadillas, wings and on and on. The range of salads was a nice surprise. We'd never seen gyro meat as a pizza topping, but it worked really well. The staff were great - accommodating, happy to answer questions - and we had our food in what seemed like seconds. We really liked this place. Placing an order was a bit daunting as there is so much to choose from. Luckily we weren't there when it was busy. Had a couple specialty salads and split a small pizza - all were very good...although I would have preferred the pizza to cook a tad longer and have just a bit more sauce. This place doesn't look like much from the outside, but they have some really good food. The first time I visited, I had a Greek salad and a Greek pizza (I believe) minus the olives and added feta. The 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th I opted for the veggie pizza. Each time I ate there, the food never disappointed. The pizzas I had were a nice thin crust that was crunchy. We just discovered The Pickle, and I think we'll be "regulars!" Cute little restaurant, very nicely decorated and very clean. You order at the counter, which is a bit of a daunting process, because they have SO many options that sound wonderful. And they are! We've had several different wraps, nachos and salad, and all have been delicious and very fresh. Not sure if they make their own wraps, but they taste like they could be. We haven't tried the pizza,calzones or panini, but they look delicious--they are in our list of "must try's." Oh, and the pickles: Each dish is served with a delicious, spicy pickle. YuThe staff is very friendly and pleasant. It is also notable that they serve on real dishes, which is very nice. I expected baskets and paper, so the real dishes are a nice touch. The parking lot is small, but there is usually plenty of parking on the adjacent side street, so, no problem. We always try to patronize local businesses, and we're happy to see that "The Pickle" is doing everything right to be a local success. Job well done! read more

Had The Brock panini and it was delicious, boyfriend had the Niko's club panini and his only complaint was there was no onions. Noted, he will make sure to add those next time. The bread was fluffy, warm and delicious. The food goes straight into the oven and to you table in front of your eyes. About 10 minutes off the interstate, but worth it! Owner is super nice, cute little patio if it's nice outside. Pizza sauce slightly sweet with a touch of Detroit style crisp to the edges. You don't come here for the environment or ambiance but the food is amazing. Their subs are fresh made with this really good bread with cheese on top of it. You don't get that flavor at Subway. Their pizza is fairly no-frills and simple but it's one of the best pizzas in Lafayette, IMO. read more

The food is always perfectly prepared and delicious. That said, I dined at The Pickle at 7:25 p.m. on 10/27/2022. I was the only customer. I have a sensory processing disorder. I need peace and quiet. The radio was blasting, and so I deliberately ignored the little sign "DO NOT TOUCH THE RADIO." I am an adult customer, not a second-grader. When I'm alone, I don't need permission to turn the volume off. However, the only person on duty, a young woman with a passive-aggressive, impatient attitude, kept on sighing and coming out to turn the radio up. We played this game three times until I forced myself to shove the rest of my meal down to get out of there before 7:45 (20 minutes after my arrival) because she had impertinently informed me when I ordered at the counter what closing time was, implying that I needed to be out of the restaurant by that time. I take as much time as I want to finish a meal. I'm sure she has a key to let me out and lock up again. This is not the first time she has treated me in this manner, and the last time I complained to the owner (Daniel), he told me that I was not the only one who had every complained about her. He is always polite and friendly. Please consider taking your business elsewhere if a loud radio and snotty service bother you. read more
