a man pointing at a statue of a bear - A man with glasses and a beard is in the foreground, pointing at a painted bear statue that is decorated with a 50th anniversary theme. The bear is positioned on the floor next to a wall, with a person seated at a table in the background. The restaurant has warm lighting, a potted plant, and caution wet floor signs near the bear statue.

Service was ok. Friendly but switched out our sections server that caused some confusion. The atmosphere was fun. This is a local staple and chain. Second time eating here and last time was a year ago when I was in the area. I recommend the Magnificent Mushrooms. They are stuffed with sausage, onions and cream cheese. Topped with melted mozzarella and comes with a side of marinara sauce. ($9.99) Pop is $3.29 and $15.79 for a small 10" Aiden's Big Show pizza. I would pass on the pizza next time but it was ok. The cheese was the best part. I didn't like that the pizza was tossed in the table with only the cardboard with parts of the pizza hanging over and touching the table.

Old school decor - The image shows a restaurant interior with a long wooden table and black chairs with padded seats. Behind the table, there are bookshelves filled with books, toys, and decorative items. The wall has three blue window frames, with the middle one showing a view into another room decorated with holiday ornaments. The ceiling has exposed beams and multiple ceiling lights, contributing to a warm ambiance.

Arni's is a 60+ year cultural institution. Part of the Greater Lafayette fabric of this blue collar turned intellectual hub of a city. The simplicity, yet diversity of the menu along with the preservation of the old school decor, helps tell the story of the restaurant and town's humble beginnings and it's people's resiliency through to modern times. The food is well portioned, simple and delicious. The salads are generous, freshly sourced, and full of different tastes. The pizza is old school and steamy hot. The sandwiches are a must try. And the service is down home friendly. I have always saved a little nostalgic place in my heart for Arni's and I always will.

Scrapped off cheese from my hamburger that was served and covered up. - The image displays three fast food items on a paper-lined tray. There is a cooked burger patty with some melted cheese, a split sandwich bun with a soft texture, and another bun with chocolate chips. The tray is partially visible, with a foil wrapper and a paper wrapper nearby. The food appears partially eaten, and the setting suggests a casual dining environment.

Food was aw, cold pizza, kids tenders frozen, and the hamburger, was a cheeseburger and they scraped off the melted cheese. Server never asked or noticed when none of the burger was touched and opened showing the previously melted American cheese on it still. Didn't eat burger due to allergies to dairy and had we not flipped it over and saw the cheese on it, would have gotten very sick. Disgusting food, service was awful, nothing to ever come to. The best part was bathroom was clean and nice.

Great pizza place in Lafayette, Indiana. I went with a small group. We got a cheese pizza, wings, and bread sticks. The pizza and bread sticks were great. The pizza had really good sauce and cheese. The waitress was very friendly and all of our food and drink came out quick. It's a really nice restaurant on the inside. Lots of local history and Purdue history on display on the walls.

This was a mighty unforgettable experience to say for the least. I was here for a playing event and this place's theme was so fun!! There were toys everywhere and the wall and flooring choices were clean and slick, and our waitress was so helpful and patient. Me and my party ordered, and so we waited. I got a good look around and the place seemed fairly clean and busy. When our food arrived, complaints and compliments were exchanged between us and our server and kindness showed so much in our waitress. For the food I found to be a bit much but hearty and good, my personal picks are the cheese garlick bread and the cobb salad. I enjoyed my stay at Arni's and I expect to come here again in two years!!

This is my husband's FAVORITE pizza ever. He keeps a picture on his phone and drools over it periodically (we live in Colorado, so no Arni's near us). I have had it several times over the years and I must say it has grown on me. The Market Square location is my favorite. It just has a nice vibe, good char on the pizza and friendly folks. They're known just as much for their salads as their tavern thin pizzas, but when we go we get a large pepperoni (and maybe some cheese bread). They use really good quality cheese and the diced (or maybe even ground) pepperoni give it a unique taste (lots of pepperoni in each bite). Definitely the best pizza in Lafayette, IN!

We stopped as a family at this strip mall location, which we think is the original. This place was recommended to us by a Purdue alum. It was nice to get outside the campus and into Lafayette. We stopped for lunch, so it was not busy. Of course we had pizza. The star was the thin, crispy crust. There were plenty of toppings. We had a veggie pizza (very good) and a BBQ chicken. The BBQ sauce had a strange tang to my taste, not bad, just different. We had a salad for the table which was standard house salad with dressing. The decor is an homage to old-school toys. There are dolls and games and baseball cards. There is a train room, and a game area. Lots to see. Service was very friendly.

Mediterranean salad - A colorful Mediterranean salad with chopped cucumbers, tomatoes, red onions, and bell peppers, topped with black olives and crumbled feta cheese. The salad is served on a white bowl, with a pizza partially visible in the background, indicating a restaurant setting.

The staff are hardworking. Claps and snaps all around for that. Most pizza and salads are safe. Staff and pizza = 4 stars. Decor and environment = 3 stars. I prefer the larger dining room with windows, or carry out. The toy room windowless dining room is old and stale, and seating is cramped. Some of the aisles are very narrow. Throw in a screaming kid or a loud talker and you've got a hellish dinner date on your hands. Woof.

The toy room has evolved over the years but it's still a lot of fun.

Just a classic, long time favorite for us. My favorite is the traditional BBQ, with an Arni's junior or senior salad

Yummy but damn it's getting pricey, might have to sell drugs just to pay for a salad. It's a Gem so almost worth it!

Since I'm not from Lafayette, I looked it up ahead of time on Google Maps and zoomed in to see exactly where it was. The restaurant is medium-sized and kept clean, with generous portion sizes. I ordered an Impossible burger with fries, which was fine. My friends ordered shrimp linguine, which they enjoyed, while another friend got gyros fries and nachos; she thought her meal was just okay. Overall, my experience was average, but everyone around us seemed to be enjoying their meals. If you're in the area, I would recommend checking it out, it's worth a try!

We had the grinder and the fried chicken sandwich. The grinder had great flavor. The fried chicken breast sandwich is brined and the meat has a pink hue that has caused some people to think it's not cooked thoroughly. But that is not correct according to the restaurant. It's due to the brining process for the chicken. The prices were good. The service was good. The not so good, the fries are hand cut and thin. They would have been great except they were lukewarm and seemed to have been sitting out awhile. The onion rings were terrible. Also hand cut but the breading fell off all the onions. They did not have good flavor either. I recommend coming into the building by Nom Nom if you have people who have trouble with stairs. The other entrance has two steps but there's no railing. My 81 year old mother had trouble with that. We learned of the other entrance and used that one when we left.

Everyone is friendly, attentive, and you can tell that they are putting so much love into the food. Let's talk food, I am critical of PR food outside of the island, but there is nothing to be critical of at Wepa. Everything is fresh and made to order. The flavors are exactly as they are back home and it is all absolutely delicious. My family and I ordered so much off the menu and we were impressed by it. We ordered Alcapurrias, rellenos de Papa, Sorullos de Maiz, and Bacalaitos to start. We also got jugos de parcha and let me tell you, that juice is FRESH!! As for our entrees, everyone got mofongos which are to die for!!! As well as rice and beans with shrimp, tilapia and bistec. Everything was delicious. I can't emphasize enough how good the food is. Lastly we shared a flan and a tembleque de coco. That tembleque is the best tembleque I have had in my life. As for the flan, it transported my 93 yr old grandma back to her childhood letting us know that the flan tasted exactly as the one her grandmother used to make. That in itself should let you know how good the food is. I honestly wished I lived closer but I am willing to make the drive to visit a piece of home. Gracias Wepa Cafe por traer la isla a Indiana!!
