I have written previous reviews for this place and since I moved to this region, this has been my go-to place whenever I am craving a halal cheeseburger, my experience here has always been great, however my last couple visits have been a little disappointing. This place is no more to dine-in as the servers there have lost their manners for dine-in customers. They seem overwhelmed with probably their online/pickup orders. At my last visit (dine-in) I ordered the cheeseburger, boneless wings and tea. They took my burger and wings order however for the tea, they straight up said "we are very busy with other orders and will not have time to make tea" lol really? Anyway, just adding here that before leaving we asked for tea again, this time it was a different guy, and they said "ok we can". I still like this place however you don't just snap at your "regular" customer saying you don't have time for certain parts of their order.... read more

Parkway has been consistently satisfying our cravings for Halal fast food in Lafayette. They offer a wide variety of items covering fries, burgers, pizzas, pastas and even Mediterranean dishes. I am a big fan of their loaded waffle fries and alfredo pastas. In their website they allow you to make a combo of two pizza toppings in one pizza and all the orders have so many customization options. When we ask for food delivery, we use their website, as it's not only cheaper than 3rd parties, but also they don't have to pay large commissions supposedly. The Turkish guy is very welcoming and this business is supportive to the community as they partner up with ISGL for Iftar in Ramadan. read more

They completely changed their Tiramisu to something that is NOT tiramisu and then delivered me something that has ZERO tiramisu ingredients in it. If you love Tiramisu, don't order it from here. read more

Went here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was empty. I wasn't a huge fan of their location, but their dining room was very nice and clean. That being said, I wish they'd covered up the view into the kitchen coz it wasn't my favorite. The prices are really good. I got the buffalo chicken 3" sub which was a good sized sandwich and it tasted real good. Service wasn't bad but it was mostly you walking up to the front to make your order. I had previously glossed over this place because it initially did not seem they offered a gluten-free pizza option. Turned out they do have one, though -- a 10.5 inch cauliflower crust that pretty much everyone else uses as well, probably from the same manufacturer. Or so I theorised, as after trying this place, I am not so sure now, as they managed to make an already bland dietary option even worse. Whereas the other places I have tried the cauliflower crusts so far in town (Jet's, Puccini's, Mad Mushroom, Noble Roman's) made it taste or feel somewhat like a real, restaurant-quality crust, this one was a straight-up, frozen-pizza-esque cracker with an overpowering taste and stench of cauliflower. My toppings besides the standard sauce and cheese were pepperoni, salami, and extra mozzarella; but somehow in a menagé that should have been absolutely delicious, I tasted almost nothing distinctive, just a blur of tasteless goo passing as cheese and salty lunch meat that may or may not have been pepperoni. I could taste the salami at least -- but it again had a very cheap, packaged lunch meat flavour. The fact that aesthetically the cheese looked exactly like the rubber they serve at Pizza Hut also did not help. So overall -- two stars, just by dint of it being slightly better than fast food pizza. I can't speak to the quality of their normal crust, but with those toppings, I can't imagine it is all that good, either. If you need to avoid gluten but would like to still have something like a pizza, you need to avoid this place and go to any of the other places I listed (except Jet's -- their cauliflower pizza is a little sad as well). read more

I've been wanting to try this place out for a while, so I finally got a chance to check it out while my wife was away at school for a week. Parkway Pizza & Subs is tucked away at the rear of Lincoln Plaza, which is harder to get to than usual due to construction on Sagamore Parkway. There are a couple of tables and chairs outside on the patio for outdoor dining in good weather, and two dining rooms inside. Customers go to the counter to order and then the food is brought out to your table. Parkway has a conveyor oven for pizzas, toasted sandwiches, and baked pastas. I prefer a flat oven for pizza as they give a crisper crust. So I opted for an Italian sub and fries. According to the picture in the menu, the fries are shoestring but when the order was brought out, the fries were steak fries. Rats, I should have ordered a large order instead of small...I LOVE steak fries. They were hot and crispy, not the soggy things you get at other places. The sandwich was toasted with a decent amount of meat and veggies. The prices were incredibly cheap compared to other sandwich places around here. I definitely need to try the pastas - a family a couple of tables over were devouring theirs with smiles. Overall a nice hole in the wall. Minus a star for the conveyor oven (yes, I'm a pizza snob). read more

My partner and i went here for lunch and it was 26$ for a large 2 topping pizza, a 2L, breadsticks and cinnamon sticks. Firsts things first, customer service was good! Now the food was where i have some comments. The breadsticks are amazing and i'd change nothing about them, same with the cheese sauce. now the cinnamon sticks were just okay, i think the sauce that comes with should warmed up a tad. Now the pizza, we think the dough was amazing. the sauce needs more flavor and we think some more cheese should be added. overall we think this place is good for the amount of money you'll spend. read more

I placed my 1st and most likely last order with Parkway. I ordered on line for delivery. I ordered the "Falafal Platter" and Cinnamon Sticks. 1. To call it a platter is a stretch. I do not see how what received could be much different than the "Falafal" for $3.00 more 2. Someone salted the cinnamon sticks that I couldn't tell they were sweet even with the glaze. FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE. My wife and I were looking for something different in pizza and sub-type food. We've probably tried it all. Their pizza and subs are really great! Lots of toppings on the pizza for hearty bites and the subs are cheesy and meaty as well. Super impressed with this place and the food. You need to AT LEAST give them a try JUST ONCE. Parrkways Pizza is an affordable pizza place with lots of options, especially if you are looking for Halal meat on your pizza. I usually order online and pick up directly from the restaurant as that way I get fresh pizza. They deliver on time but if you live a little far off, the pizza can loose its freshness and not taste as good, which is universally true and not just in their case. Expensive. The food preparers need to throw out rubber, limp, discolored, bruised and foul smelling food items out. The importance of a certified food handler being in attendance during operational hours is crucial for a successful, fruitful and lasting food service operation. A customer with food related illness from ingesting outdated or contaminated food from your establishment is almost a certain failure of the business. Then, when you add in the medical, attorneys, court fees and punitive cost that limp sandwich onion ring was a drop in the ocean compared to using a fresh one. The cost of the bad food is a tax write off. Daily records compiled by the state certified food handler is money in the bank. Very good food. I ordered baked spaghetti with sausage. The only complaint I have is that it was a bit on the salty side. May have been the sausage, not sure. Will give it a try again w/o sausage. When i call they said everything except gyro is halal even though there are ham and bacon in the menu. I didn't feel confident and I ordered bbq chicken pizza since i knew it is halal from the past. The pizza was ok but French fries we ordered for the side was the worst ever, No Salt at all and the oil of the fries left a weird taste in my mouth. Parkway pizza is really good if you get Thin crust pizza! They've never gave me any hassle my ONLY minor complaint is sometimes I get two large pizzas for $14.99 and sometimes the employee doesn't know what I'm talking about. The staff was very friendly and I actually prefer the cavernous interior to something super-modern with lots of track lighting or whatever. But the pizza itself was just okay. I wasn't crazy about the sauce, which seemed kind of bland (more garlic or basil would help a lot). Overall, I'd say it's serviceable and perhaps other menu items would be more appealing, but I'll probably opt for a different restaurant the next time I want pizza. read more

The so called owner Rachel is extremely rude and disrespectful. When I asked her name because I wanted to speak with someone else she told me it is none of my business. I asked her if anyone else was there that I could speak with she repeatedly told me no. She apparently takes the orders, makes the food, and delivers it. Miracle worker, I guess. She hung up on me 3x's and told me to stop running my mouth. I never once said anything rude about her or to her. I did tell her the service was unacceptable. I have called back and asked to speak with someone else and she just tells me there is no one I can speak with and will not give any information on when someone else is available. She must not want anyone else she works with to know how rude and unacceptable her behavior is. I give this place a ZERO, unfortunately it makes me give at least 1 star. My husband and I were in town for a wedding. After we go back to the hotel. We decided to order a pizza. Front desk recommend Parkway pizza. The menu looked great online. We order the works the lady on the phone said it would be 40 minutes. I looked at the clock and noticed they closed in 30 mintues. The pizza arrived 5 mintues before they closed. We opened it and it didn't look like it was done. The online menu said extra cheese would come on it. There was hardly any cheese on it. The sauce was good and my husband liked the sausage. Don't order online. I had well over 6 orders in a row screwed up last spring and quit eating here. Decided today to give them another shot and they screwed up two of my four sandwiches. They put american cheese on the philly, which they tell me is explained on the menu now, but not on hungryboiler website where I ordered. Also ordered a ham and cheese only sub, came with mayo on it. They really don't seem to care. I'm done with them!! Also, I ordered through hungry boiler. Why did some one from the restaurant deliver it? Why am I paying extra fees through HB?
