When I inquired about it they said they sent it back, never to be seen again. Rickenbacker replacement pickups can be ordered. Another time I bought a new Firebird and it had fret sprout and they said they would fix that. It seemed to take forever and when I finally got it there was a ding in the back that wasn't there before. I brought in a keyboard for repair and they lost the case for the soundboard that was installed in the keyboard. When you bring something in for repair, bring it in bare bones, no strap, strings accessories in the case or they might lose them.

However, not all of us are…read morethat amazing, so we have to resort to actually practicing an instrument before we get good at it, or rather in Wolfie's case, all of them. Showcase Pianos is a store that specializes in high-end pianos. There is a smaller room devoted to their uprights which you have to walk through first, but their main feature are their Bechstein pianos (in the $20,000+ realm even for an upright) or their Faziolis (which can go up to a quarter of a million - yes, forget getting your kid that RESP, you'd be better off making them into the next Lang Lang). The features Bechstein is known for is a nice, integrated sound that can mimic a grand from the upright form, which is pretty impressive (if you see the soundboard for a grand piano and compare it to an upright, you will see what I mean... those strings aren't there to just look cute!). What makes the Fazioli about the price of 3 Steinways (which they don't carry)? Basically, the Fazioli is hand-tuned and handmade just like a Steinway, but the materials are ridiculous. The wood for the soundboard is what they also use for Stradivarius violins, which often reach the seven digits because of their unique construction and ability to project sound. The hinges are 18K gold (I have no idea why this is needed), and everything has been put through a rigorous test. How rigorous? Basically, every note in the Fazioli is extremely distinct sounding, and is easily brought out when one plays it. A Fazioli makes it so a performer doesn't need to really compensate for the muddying that often occurs on other pianos, particularly in the lower ranges. It can sound mechanical to some but it also means that you have a very high degree of control on how a piece is going to sound, which probably sounds quite odd to someone who doesn't play, as you're sitting up there tinkering about. However, there are certain ways a composition was written that make it very hard to "clean", or to make it sound clearer. Some decent examples would be to see a local recital soloist play Chopin or Debussy and then compare the same piece as done by some of the professionals as featured on Youtube. They let me play the Fazioli without any fuss, as well as any Bechsteins I wanted. The lady who was giving me a bit of a tour then sat me down to discuss purchasing them. There is no financing plan here unfortunately (unlike when you get some instruments from Tom Lee, I believe), but she did give me the full run-through and promotional materials even though I was dressed in jogging pants and a hoodie with a grease stain on it. So they treated me well, and let me play. Though, that may be about as far as I'll get with them for a long time.

I was moving from the North Shore and before doing so, I contacted a bunch of movers. I didn't have…read morethe standard 2 bd or 3rd, my sister and I lived together and each brought or belongings and furniture plus some things of our parents. Almost all the movers quoted me a price without even coming to see what we had to move. I had read reviews on Reddit and one mover was highly recommended so I called him, he came over and quoted me a ridiculous price, 5 times what I ended up paying. Perhaps it was because it was Easter weekend or because we had a lot of stuff to move, not sure. I then contacted a bunch of movers by email and got very quick responses by many but Super Dee stood out to me because they wanted to see what we had before quoting a price. Others said they would send me a 4 ton truck but when Don came from Super Dee, he looked at everything and surmised we would need a 5 ton truck. I thought Oh no, what is this going to cost me but it turned out to be a very good price, and he was right, that truck was packed! Yes I got lower quotes but there was no way anyone could do the amount of work Don and his team did plus pay for gas and the ferry for anything less...more on that later. We had lived in this particular house for 20 years and had accumulated a lot of junk and things we didn't want to take. Turned out they do junk removal as well; it was perfect! Super Dee is definitely a Mom n Pop operation, Don's wife Jeanette runs the office and Don handles the move with his crew...all nice guys and very helpful. If you are looking for a service where everyone wears matching uniforms, shoes polished, hair styled etc, they dont fit the bill but i can attest to the fact that everyone worked really hard, hour after hour, always smiling and polite and 100% honest. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them and use them again. I preferred having a crew that was flexible, not standing there with a clipboard adding another 15 mins to my bill. They agreed to a price and they worked damn hard to get it all done no matter how long it took. I also wanted to add that when it became obvious that i wasn't going to get everything done ( finishing packing the little stuff left and clean a 4 bd home for the walk through with the owners in 3 days) i asked Don if he had any helpers he could get and he arranged for a couple of extremely hard women to come and finish packing and cleaning. They were absolutely fantastic, if you have a big move, I 100% recommend you ask Don to set you up with them. The first day they focused on the packing, the second day they asked me what I wanted cleaned, fridge, windows etc? I said This is not going to be that sort of clean up, I need you to do whatever each room needs done whether it be cleaning the radiator or the blinds, anywhere you see dust and dirt it has to be cleaned. And they did. They were like two little tornadoes going through the house. They organized keep, trash, donate piles, they even helped me load up my own car. There was literally nothing they wouldn't or didnt do. Do yourself a favor and hire them if you can afford the extra expense because they are really worth it. Don and his team worked really, really hard for us. They spent hours on removing junk from a house that had been lived in by us for 19 years; there was a LOT of junk. Next day, back with the same amount of energy to load the truck and the following day to deliver it to where we were moving to. I dont know how they were able to do that much work 3 days in a row; I would have been in bed for a week after Day 2. I was so pleased with the service that I did something I have never done before and that was to pay them more than they asked. Of course I tipped each of the movers but my sister and I spoke about it and we thought they had done an extraordinary amount of work for the price we had been quoted especially when they had gas and ferry costs. We felt they had quoted us a price that was too low considering all the work they had done so we added an extra bonus amount to the bill. Ive never paid someone more than theyve asked before and that should speak volumes about what we thought about the service that was provided. A huge thanks to Don and his team!!! When I talked with Jeanette, one of the owners, she seemed very helpful, friendly and professional. When I told her about the size of our house and how much furniture we had, she sent us a quote based on two trucks which after some discussion it seemed like it changed to one truck on their end. They said that one truck should be enough. After selling our house, we contacted Jeanette again and told her we would like to use her company. One week before our move, we called again and asked to have someone from the company to come by and assess our needs. One of the owners, Don, came by and told us what we needed to do to prepare for the move. He also said that 2 trucks would definitely be needed and we would have to pay an additional charge for the second truck and an additional helper. We told him that we were told that we were quoted for 2 trucks initially and the further charge was a surprise. After some discussion with Jeanette again, the extra charge was reduced a bit from $1500 to $1000. On moving day which turned out to be the hottest day on record (June 28th), the movers showed up almost 2 hours late and seemed ill prepared for the move. In fact when they wanted to break for lunch, they had no food or drink so we made them lunch and provided lots of bottled cold water for them as well as an air conditioned space for them to relax for their break. They were not organized and one of the workers seemed lost and spent a lot of time either on his phone or standing around. We told the person in charge (Brandi) about this and nothing changed. Later I called Don to inform him of what was happening and he was very defensive with me and said that we should feel lucky that they didn't cancel our move due to the heat. Later on I received a call from Jeanette the owner that it appeared that we were abusive toward the worker and and were pushing to have the workers hurry up which was never said. When we told Brandi that we were told this by Jeanette, she said that that was never mentioned and they must have misunderstood what we said. After seeing that they needed help, I realized that I too needed to assist in helping load the trucks and moved plenty of the boxes and pieces myself. A couple hours later, we noticed 2 of the movers had disappeared with one of the trucks without even notifying us. In the mean time, all our boxes and possessions were out in the street and unattended. Several hours later it was obvious that the trucks wouldn't be fully loaded due to all the problems the movers had encountered. They decided to leave at 7pm and promised to return the following day. The next morning, a better crew showed up and was much more organized and managed to conclude the loading in a few hours with our help. The next day at our new house, once again the movers showed up at least 3 hours later than we were told by the owner due to some other issues that we had not been informed about until I had called to see where they were. They finally showed up at 2 pm and commenced unloading and both my wife and I assisted in helping them. As we unloaded a few pieces of furniture, we saw that they had some damage from the truck. We mentioned this to Brandi when the unloading was finished and she wanted to conclude the move in a hurry to catch a ferry back to the lower mainland. She wanted payment right away and hastily took pictures of some of the damage and said they would contact us about dealing with it, but nothing was ever done. We also noticed that both our bed's mattresses were not wrapped and had some dirt on them. Much of the furniture we later discovered was also scratched and even a box of china had been dropped and all the pieces were ruined. We also noticed after the trucks left our brand new driveway that they had both left large spots of oil all around it. I informed Don about this and he told me how I could remove the stains. He offered to send someone to clean them if I had no luck but never answered me back when I had called and texted him to deal with our problems. Since the move, I had tried to contact Don a few times without him, Jeanette or Brandi ever responding back to try to make things right. It is too bad that this company wasn't as good as we first thought. In fact, they did a poor job and weren't worth the money we were charged. Don't expect them to deal with any problems properly. We will never use this company again and hope others will learn from our experience.

Chris even made a call to Montreal to finally track down an obscure truss rod nut for my old Squier (and even the one he got required extra machining), when I was resolved to the fact that I'd probably have to get a new neck. They'll also not sell your something you don't need. I thought one of my guitars may need a feet dressing, but he saved me money by showing me it did not. Like most good luthiers, they have a huge backlog of work. If you want something done right away, this is probably not the place for you, unless you luckily land in a lull. It's worth the wait. You can get anything up to an entirely custom built guitar made here. They also deal in a nice combination of common and boutique brands for amps, pedals, accessories, etc. Highly recommended.

I came in asking for some electrical work grounding/nicer soldering, a quick nut filing and a bit of love for the fretboard. I was quoted roughly 10 days. As someone who likes to support local business and bases my choices off of the good reviews I said what the heck and gave them a shot. I was at no point concerned with the cost of the work as this is my main instrument, so I didn't base my choice off of that. I did also mention that I had to leave to perform in a festival near the end of the month. After 13 business days (18 days total) I went back in and just grabbed my guitar which had yet to be serviced. The guy was quite overbooked which is understandable. The gentleman apologized and threw me two packs of free strings for the inconvenience, (however the pack I had in the case was no longer there so really only 1) He said he was going to try to get the guitar done by the end of the day, but at this point I leave in 4 days and no longer have the luxury of time. Obviously this was an isolated case and I don't expect that everyone would have a similar experience and this review is in no way aimed to slander the owner who treated me with nothing but respect. This is meant to be an reflection of my experience. That being said I'd definitely consider shopping there again, however I wouldn't take anything in for repair without confirming a hard return date and as a result I am now left scrambling to find a capable guitar tech to service my guitar on very short notice with very little time.

And it's a tougher, classier mesh that even offers UV protection, impressive. Tough, all because of their special magnet that really clicks which the worker showed us, not like the flimsy ones that we have. Something to consider for summer, as we all know how annoying it is to swat at those flies when eating all those yummy leftovers I get every day lol. Lifetime warranty on the parts but not the mesh, that's the half-star lol.
