Ok place... drinks are great but the bartender... man! What a dude.... bad attitude, no personality and he makes you feel as if he is doing a favor to you by making your drinks. We asked for recommendations for some drinks and his answer was "don't you see the menu"??? I went for the second time and I literally had to wait for him to finish texting or whatever in order to get some more drinks. AWESOME BAR w/ FANTASTIC COCKTAIL LIST. The atmosphere is very unique, but they offer a wide variety of seating. Perfect place for a date or cocktails with a close friend. Noise level was moderate which made it super easy to talk to my group. I only gave 4 stars because service was very slow. The staff was PHENOMENAL, but the bartender was not up to the task. Our server was constantly at our table making sure we had everything we needed, but as soon as we'd order a new drink it took 20 plus minutes to receive it. Just a bit too long that you notice. They also serve food in the bar area, which is always a plus in my book. My group ordered a few pizzas for the table; I didn't have any due to being gluten free, but everyone else really enjoyed them. Overall I was very happy with the level of service and the quality of the drinks. Will be recommending to all my friends. read more

So random and weird but also amazingly awesome at the same time. My girlfriends and I stumbled upon the door to this place while out a few weeks ago. Designed as a "speakeasy" you have to the ring to be let in. We waited 5 minutes and almost gave up before the bartender opened the door. He told us he has to run up a flight of stairs from the bar so sometimes it takes him a minute. The bartenders are extremely knowledgeable on their extensive cocktail menu which is separated by liquor. Each of my girlfriends had a different drink and ALL of them were delicious. Be careful though because they are quite strong. After two cocktails each we stumbled out of there. Hesitant to review because we don't want this place to get crowded! read more

This place was just wonderful. It's like they had me and all of my dreams of the perfect cocktail bar in mind when creating this place. It's swanky, quirky and most definitely fits the "1960s Palm Springs" description they give themselves. Wonderfully friendly bar tender, created a perfect made-just-for-me fruity cocktail that was far from ordinary. They featured the perfect soundtrack that consisted of Sinatra, Dean and the like. When they played my favorite ("Ain't that a Kick in the Head") I almost lost it. This place was too perfect! Love love love...I'll definitely be returning the next time I'm feeling fancy! read more

I would recommend giving it a try the cocktails were good and bartender was friendly. I liked my husbands cocktail more then mine he had the rum punch. Feel like the only thing missing on the cocktail menu was the use of more local craft spirits. A little confused by the decor and vision of this place. I can't tell if they're trying to be a speakeasy, it ended up more like basement vintage furniture shop. There is definitely a distinct style they are trying to convey, but it's strange with the location/entrance and also how their drink menu, although extensive, is a laminated flip book. The drinks were also quite expensive, some were coming to about $20 a piece. For that price, the experience should be more like the Violet Hour in Chicago. This spot is unique, that's for sure. It's underneath Temple Billiards and upon walking in, my first thought was eclectic. The decor is a mix of Ikea and fancy hipster furniture decorated in hospital horror-style. I can't say I've ever seen a bar quite like it. The decor feels a little cheap, to be honest, but the cocktails make up for it. They're stiff and the menu starts with the classics, but keep flipping through for the more unique drinks! Hole in the wall spot downstairs to an open space with living room like seating. Drinks were good and tasty not too sweet. They could do more with the space, but it's a nice touch and not too loud. Bathrooms are upstairs in the billiards which is the only downside. Lots of drink choices. read more

You can go downstairs from the pool hall or use a side entrance that you need to ring a bell in order to get down. Came here on a Friday night at 10:00 PM and it was....crickets. A friend forced me go with him for dinner and I was absolutely amazed. The food wasn't just good, it was really good! The atmosphere was mature, people were pleasant, they weren't rude/obnoxious, staff was courteous while efficient, and the restaurant was spotless. It does not have a "sport bar" smell which is amazing; actually smelled like a tasty gourmet grill. Favorite dish so far is the skirt-steak salad. Delicious and healthy!
