I cannot recommend OLK9, and specifically Trainer Christina enough…read more My pup is 5.5 years old, extremely sweet, but would get extremely excited around other people/ dogs. We couldn't take him in public. When we'd have to take him to the vet, he would pull so hard (90 lb pitbull/ American bull dog, so he pulls HARD) that he would choke himself and make my hand hurt from holding the leash, and he would SCREAM/ bark/ cry when we wouldn't let him go up to people and dogs. He wouldn't tire out. He would do that the entire time. It was stressful as all heck when we'd have people over to our house. He would jump all over people, knock over small kids, non stop licking people, etc for about 15-20 min before calming down. If we kept him crated when people were over, he'd scream the entire time (I'm talking HOURS). It was extremely stressful. We did the 2 week board and train program with Christina. I'll be honest, because his issues seemed more like personality issues rather than not knowing commands, etc. I was a little nervous that our biggest concerns wouldn't be fixed. Him sitting, laying down, walking on heel, etc would be nice and all, but really what we needed was for him to be able to CALM DOWN around people. Lucky for us, we got the best of both worlds! My husband and I are blown away by the change in our boy. It's truly day and night. We picked him just one week ago. Yesterday I took him to the local Farmer's Market. He walked at a heel the whole time, not pulling toward any of the other people or dogs. We also spent multiple minutes at a time in a "sit" or "down" position just watching. This used to be a scenario where he'd be going crazy trying to get to everyone, but he remained calm for the whole 45 ish minutes we were there. Shortly after that, we had 2 new-to-Wesley friends come over to our house. I placed him on his cot before they came in the door. He jumped up once, but after I placed him back on it, he remained there and didn't move until I allowed him too. I thought for sure after I let him off, he'd run over and jump on his new friends. But nope! He walked over and let them pet him, but remained calm with all four feet on the floor and didn't lick them like crazy. He spend most of the afternoon just laying near us but not demanding attention like usual. He even stayed by himself quietly inside, while we were in the backyard (another first, he always wants to be where the people are) A total transformation!! Not having him for 2 weeks was definitely tough but Christina sent us multiple pictures and videos every single day, letting us know how he was doing and just showing us his cute face. She was quick to answer every question. You can truly tell how much she loves dogs and what she does. When we picked him up, we spent about 2 hours where Christina taught up how to use the e collar and worked on some training with us and Wesley together. The only thing I'm disappointed in with this training is not doing it sooner. I am in awe of what my boy learned at almost 6 years old and I truly cannot recommend Christina enough. We drove 5+ hours round trip for her training and it was so so worth the drive and the cost. THANK YOU CHRISTINA!!!

What we loved about Wag Time and Don (owner and trainer) is that he does not use treats or shock. He employs voice and leash control. In reality Don trains YOU how to train! Honestly I was a skeptic! BUT we saw IMMEDIATE improvement during the very first lesson!! We have had 6 lessons so far, and Benny has come a long way! Life changing for us! By the time we were done with our 3rd lesson we ran into Don and another customer in a public place and he used my dog to show as an example. More importantly, he got the other dog, who was extremely reactive to other dogs, to walk along with my dog within 10 minutes. The other owner was in disbelief and asked for permission to take a video of our dogs calmly walking together at The Fountains with tons of distractions. It's been a year and we just finished our 6th lesson only to correct some of the behavior that my dog does in the car, such as getting supper excited when driving to familiar places. I have had so many people compliment how calm and behaved my 2.5 year old Lab is (often act as a much more mature dog).

He had become aggressive toward one of our other dogs, which was creating a great deal of stress and tension in our household. In addition, he was not consistently responding to basic commands, making the situation even more challenging to manage safely. Bill took the time to understand exactly what was happening and provided us with clear, practical guidance on how to address our dog's behavior. Through his training, our dog became much more responsive to commands, calmer in the home, and easier to manage around our other dogs. We saw a noticeable improvement not only in his obedience, but also in his overall behavior and temperament. After the two week board-and-train program was complete, we also continued with weekly sessions for additional training and support. Those follow-up sessions were incredibly valuable in reinforcing what our dog had learned, answering our questions, and helping us stay consistent at home. That ongoing guidance made a meaningful difference in maintaining his progress and continuing to build better behavior over time. What stood out to us just as much was how passionate and knowledgeable Bill is about training. It is clear that he genuinely cares about helping both dogs and their owners succeed, and he brings a great deal of experience and understanding to the process. He was patient, confident, and always willing to explain the reasoning behind the training, which made us feel comfortable, informed, and supported throughout the entire experience.

She told me to show her what I typically do and then she offered me suggestions to adjust for better responses. When we attended Terra's group walk classes, the experience was similar. On one group walk, my dog was at his worst and Terra just kindly gave suggestions on what to adjust and he did amazing by the end. Terra is awesome and I appreciate her approach. He now has a very solid foundation onto which I can continue to build at home. I was initially considering another training place before I found Sierra dogs. Come to find out, not all trainers are created equal, as they were going to use a shock collar on my puppy. I couldn't even believe it! Eden and her employee Jess use a positive training approach....encouraging good behavior with rewards and praise and discouraging the unwanted behaviors by re-focusing the dog back into a desirable behavior. Because Blue lived with her at her clean, puppy-safe home, she not only taught him the basics but also more advanced training like recall and "leave it". She incorporated day-to-day living into his training, teaching him the skills needed to be a generally well behaved 7 month old puppy that actually respects the other small dogs in our household! Her large fenced property allowed for plenty of appropriate play time and socializing with the other Sierra dogs in her care including her own beautiful huskies...Luna, Vesta and Francis. When it was time for Blue to come home, Eden spent a lot of time going over everything and showing us how to continue on with his training at home.
