I have a German Shepherd for the first time in my life, and really didn't know how to train her. I had seen Alan and Renee at Tahoe Park for years holding classes, and is been really impressed. I signed up for classes when she was old enough, and e have both learned so much! I have recommended these guys to everyone in my family, and all my friends that have dogs. They are so good at what they do! They are patient, kind, and really know their stuff. Worth every penny! Marley and I will be continuing classes as long as we can!

I love albree dog training!

We couldn't take him in public. When we'd have to take him to the vet, he would pull so hard (90 lb pitbull/ American bull dog, so he pulls HARD) that he would choke himself and make my hand hurt from holding the leash, and he would SCREAM/ bark/ cry when we wouldn't let him go up to people and dogs. He wouldn't tire out. He would do that the entire time. It was stressful as all heck when we'd have people over to our house. He would jump all over people, knock over small kids, non stop licking people, etc for about 15-20 min before calming down. If we kept him crated when people were over, he'd scream the entire time (I'm talking HOURS). It was extremely stressful. We did the 2 week board and train program with Christina. I'll be honest, because his issues seemed more like personality issues rather than not knowing commands, etc. I was a little nervous that our biggest concerns wouldn't be fixed. Him sitting, laying down, walking on heel, etc would be nice and all, but really what we needed was for him to be able to CALM DOWN around people. Lucky for us, we got the best of both worlds! My husband and I are blown away by the change in our boy. It's truly day and night. We picked him just one week ago. Yesterday I took him to the local Farmer's Market. He walked at a heel the whole time, not pulling toward any of the other people or dogs. We also spent multiple minutes at a time in a "sit" or "down" position just watching. This used to be a scenario where he'd be going crazy trying to get to everyone, but he remained calm for the whole 45 ish minutes we were there. Shortly after that, we had 2 new-to-Wesley friends come over to our house. I placed him on his cot before they came in the door. He jumped up once, but after I placed him back on it, he remained there and didn't move until I allowed him too. I thought for sure after I let him off, he'd run over and jump on his new friends. But nope! He walked over and let them pet him, but remained calm with all four feet on the floor and didn't lick them like crazy. He spend most of the afternoon just laying near us but not demanding attention like usual. He even stayed by himself quietly inside, while we were in the backyard (another first, he always wants to be where the people are) A total transformation!! Not having him for 2 weeks was definitely tough but Christina sent us multiple pictures and videos every single day, letting us know how he was doing and just showing us his cute face. She was quick to answer every question. You can truly tell how much she loves dogs and what she does. When we picked him up, we spent about 2 hours where Christina taught up how to use the e collar and worked on some training with us and Wesley together. The only thing I'm disappointed in with this training is not doing it sooner. I am in awe of what my boy learned at almost 6 years old and I truly cannot recommend Christina enough. We drove 5+ hours round trip for her training and it was so so worth the drive and the cost. THANK YOU CHRISTINA!!!

Now that we are home, I am incredibly pleased with the outcome. Milot's behavior has shifted significantly for the better. Anthony spent two hours with me during pickup to ensure I understood the commands and techniques he used, and by implementing those daily, I've seen a massive difference in our routine. While the 'behind-the-scenes' of intensive training can feel a bit like a black box for a first-time owner, the results speak for themselves. If you are looking for a program that delivers a noticeable transformation, it is well worth the investment. I'm very happy with Milot's progress! Other things to note - Anthony was very responsive. Sent videos of progress and video chats as well - clean/brushed/bathe at least once before pickup - flexible with drop off and pickup Happy with the result. Highly recommend.

Anthony took him in for a week and made an incredible difference. He taught our dog to heel, walk calmly, and stop pulling on the leash. The improvement was obvious the moment we picked him up. I'm extremely grateful for the results and highly recommend PowerHouseK9 to anyone looking for effective, professional dog training.

All I can say is: wow! My dog has never been happier and more well-behaved. Ironically, his approach, really, is about training you, the owner, to cultivate the behavior you want to see in your dog. He trains owners to address the root cause of behaviors, which leads to broad, systemic changes through energy-management and LOTS of positive reinforcement. Before finding Jaimie, I was worried I'd have to give my dog up to a sanctuary if I ever lived with another person who owned a dog because my dog's behavior was out of control. I no longer have that fear after training with Jaimie. He is truly a master of his craft, and I have full confidence his training techniques can work on any dog after seeing my dog's behavior transform. I have a 10 year old Shih Tzu that I adopted from the pound at 5 years old. She was constantly getting into trouble: jumping on furniture, marking in the house, pulling trash from trash cans, aggressive with kids and other dogs. I believed the folk wisdom that "you can't teach an old dog new tricks," and Jaimie shattered that myth within the first training session. Jaimie's approach is really quite simple, if you think about it: if you manage your dog's energy, and you set boundaries for your dog, you can create a completely new routine that your dog will adopt through your consistent, clear communication and praising good behavior. Over time, through consistency, you fall into a new routine, one where your dog listens and understands the expectations you've set, and it feels natural. Since beginning training, my Shih Tzu has stopped marking inside the house and outside during walks, stopped begging for food and stealing food from the toddler in my house, pulling trash from the trash cans, stopped barking at every little noise in the house, listens to my commands while walking on a leash, and no longer jumps on furniture. Additionally, she is generally happier, and more affectionate with every human she meets. Next, I'm planning to work with Jaimie on addressing my dog's anxiety with other dogs. All of the work the work you put into training really pays off, and I have full confidence that his techniques and attention to detail will help me guide my dog finally begin to trust other dogs. Trust the process, be patient with yourself and with your dog, remain consistent, and cultivate the behavior you want to see.

Pros: they have a membership and you can choose 1 or 5 classes a month. These classes don't roll over if you don't use them - I made the mistake of thinking they do. They have a calendar where it lists the classes, time and topic. The calendar is a bit clunky and confusing so it takes a bit to figure out how to navigate. If they don't have too many people sign up and you need help in a certain area, they accommodate your request. They have answered my numerous questions and been very patient. While we were previously able to minimize his exposure to his biggest triggers (strangers and unfamiliar dogs), we had just recently moved in with roommates and with new frequent guests visiting and the unpredictable sounds and activities in the house, his behavior got worse. Friends of ours that he was good with before were now constantly barked at and even almost bitten. We started to put him away when people visited, but even then he was constantly barking until they left. We were also losing a lot of sleep from the constant barking when any door opened or any noise occurred that he wasn't expecting, which was definitely hard to avoid with roommates around! We were definitely in over our heads, so we researched lots of different trainers in the area before reaching out to Lorenzo's. It was super important for us to find a trainer that was firm yet fair and who we could trust with our dog. Our trainer Nai hit all the marks! From the first 15 minute we spent with her, it was astonishing to us how knowledgeable, capable and understanding she was of Ollie's behavior and our situation. He actually tried to bite her multiple times and I swear she didn't even flinch . We were honestly so impressed at how quickly she was able to get him to listen to her while also being very fair in her training style and not unnecessarily dominant/aggressive that we knew we could trust her to do a 10 day board and train with him for his obedience training. Its definitely pricey to get your dog trained with level of expertise, but it was worth it! The frequent photo, video and text updates we got of his progress were very nice and reassuring that we made the right choice too. When Ollie came back, it was then our turn to to be trained by Nai and to make sure to be consistent. He is definitely a very stubborn and strong willed dog, and no doubt the first few days of having him back trying to practice the homework we got while he was relentlessly trying to default into his old ways, was super rough on us, but Nai was nice enough to call and check in to see if we had any questions or needed any help. Throughout the whole progress she has been super encouraging and supportive of us. Within even a week, we were more confident in ourselves and Ollie was already a way more behaved than he had ever been. As we went through our weekly lessons with Nai to progressively challenge Ollie to make sure he listened in more distracting environments and in situations that would previously trigger him, we grew more confident in ourselves and Ollie's reliability. It is so crazy nice to be able to go on a walk without a dog who pulls constantly and to not have to cross the street to avoid other dogs. We just finished our last official lesson with Nai but will be going to the free monthly pack walks and group classes! While Ollie isn't perfect yet and there are still things we're working on, we are so thankful for how much he has changed and for Nai's big help along the way. We will definitely be signing up our future dogs with LDTT

As first-time dog owners, we knew training would be crucial, but we had no idea how unprepared we really were. From the start, it felt like our dog was more than we could handle--his reactivity, stubbornness, and boundless energy left us overwhelmed and unsure of what to do. That's when we found Janice, and honestly, it was the best decision we could have made. Janice didn't just teach us how to train our dog--she trained us to be confident, patient, and capable handlers, completely shifting our perspective on what it means to be good, responsible dog owners. She helped us understand that training isn't about quick fixes or basic obedience; it's about building trust, consistency, and understanding the "why" behind your dog's behavior. She gave us the tools and confidence to stay patient and capable, even when things felt impossible.    The process wasn't and hasn't been easy. There were tears, moments of frustration, and times we felt like giving up. Our Doberman was stubborn and reactive, and progress sometimes felt painfully slow. But Janice was there every step of the way, offering support and reassurance when we needed it most. She reminded us that transformation takes time, and every small victory was a step closer to our goal. Now, two years later, I can hardly believe the progress we've made. My once highly reactive pup is far from perfect, but he's come such a long way. He's starting to make friends, can interact with other dogs more calmly, and is beyond more manageable than before. Walks used to be filled with anxiety, but now they're something we can enjoy. Looking back, all the hard work has been so worth it. I've learned that patience, consistency, and truly committing to your dog makes all the difference. Janice didn't just change our dog's life--she changed ours too. She gave us the tools and understanding we needed to keep pushing forward, even when progress felt slow. If you're looking to go beyond the basics and truly transform your relationship with your dog, Janice is the one to go to. She'll guide you, challenge you, and help you unlock the best version of your pup and yourself. I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat.
