You want someone who your dog feels is a part of your family. Laureen of Wag A Doodle is that person. I found her because of the other yelp reviews and was shocked by her prices. She came for an orientation the same day I called. She talked through our concerns, went on a walk with our Shepherd mix who had issues pulling, and set up a schedule for the next week. By the next day, I had a copy of her insurance forms. It's been a month and we haven't looked back. Laureen is there when we need her at a moments notice. When my husband's car broke down, she was at our house to walk Grace. When we went on vacation, she took Grace to her home so our dog wouldn't feel left alone. She has helped train our old girl to stop pulling while on a walk and even sends videos and pictures of them playing! We love Laureen!

Kaelin was very prompt getting back to me when I contacted her. She has very fair prices, and started right away. My German Shepherd mix. Annie, is 2 1/2 years old-he had never been socialized with other dogs so she had fear every time we were near another dog. And it made me insecure to walk her because quite frankly, I didn't know what to do. Kaelin was adept at explaining to me that Annie, just never learned social skills or cues from other dogs and so she's afraid. That made sense. She started walking her right away, and with only a few sessions, Annie can now walk near other dogs without reacting. What a gift! Did I mention Kaelin's also a dog trainer, LOL! Before I met Drew I spent so much time on Yelp contacting other pet sitters in the area and they all seemed like they were mostly dog-oriented and just tolerated cats and would be only dropping by to make sure my cats were alive. Then I contacted Drew and I knew right away she was special - she actually adores cats and her primary concern is getting to know your cats' individual needs and quirks and providing the best comprehensive care possible while putting your mind at ease with daily checks-ins and photos. (She also owns a photography business and you can hire her for an epic pet photo session!) Drew regularly takes care of my guys, whether I'm busy for one day or away for a longer trip. Under anyone else's care, I'd worry about their individual dietary and behavioral needs - I have a picky older cat with anxiety and urinary issues, a goofy black cat with a sensitive tummy and a history of eating inedible objects and getting the occasional ear infection, and a young, spunky one-eyed cat who once had an injured leg. Not only has Drew gotten to know each of their personalities and connected with them like they're her own pets (they greet her at the door), she has expertly attended to their occasional extra needs and has on multiple occasions taken the time to talk me through my concerns about their issues. In addition to being a cat owner herself, Drew has experience working at clinics and rescues and volunteers her time at a cat sanctuary so I thoroughly trust her input and consider her a valued care companion and part of our pet family. Stephanie was super helpful and gave us names of other recommended sitters, as well as providing information on their boarding services. She genuinely seemed like she was more interested in making sure our dogs were taken care of than getting us to spend our money with them specifically. Next time we have more advance warning for our trip, we'll be going with Happy Paws.
