I love the service. Plus the food is so amazing. I tried their lobster deviled eggs, blackened mahi sandwich and it was so good. I would definitely recommend it. The ambiance is great. It looks like its an old chicago factory and they really did a great job in renovating and turning it into a good looking restaurant. I really loved it. read more

After hours of traveling this was the best place to start our weekend trip to Chicago. As soon as I walked in the door I could tell this place had a great vibe! We pulled up a bar stool and were immediately greeted by happy smiling faces! A young women and man working behind the bar were happy to help with not only food recommendations but also set us off to a great start on our trip with other dining and museum recommendations. We started with Gorgonzola chips that were absolutely out of this world seemed to be a homemade potato chip 10/10. followed by filet mignon sliders that I am still dreaming of and just because we were so comfortable maybe one or two more drinks the we would of normally stayed for !! This will definitely be on my itinerary next trip to the Windy City ! read more

I've heard great reviews about this place and it didn't disappoint. My husband and I were lucky to snag patio seats on a 70+ day in Chicago. The vibe is super cool outside and even better inside. Drinks: they made my husband a mock tail mojito, which he enjoyed. I had a Bloody Mary that had a beer chaser. It was thick and spicy. I liked the beer back. Starters: we had 4 lobster deviled eggs. I love that our waiter asked if we wanted to add a 4th egg since it only came with 3. They were messy, but very tasty. I love the sweetness of the lobster paired with the sharp taste of mustard. The cheese curds were huge! I love that they fried the giardiniera. You needed something pickled to cut the fat of the fried curds. Main: we split the tuna salad. The ahi was perfectly cooked. I loved the ginger dressing with hints of mango and avocado in the salad. The pickled ginger was great too. Overall, this place is awesome and we would definitely be back! read more

We made last minute reservations on a Saturday night, so it was nice that they were able to accommodate a group of 7 on such late notice. Service was good too and they have a good selection of beers, including flights! We ordered the cheese curds and croquettes to start. Both were decent. The cheese curds come with some fried vegetables as well, so it was kind of a gamble which piece you got was cheese and which was vegetable. For my entree, I got a hamburger and my husband got a turkey burger. Both came with a side which we got fries. My burger was outright bad. The outside of the patty was burnt and the fries has no flavor. My husband also had the same issue with his turkey patty. To make things worse, although the outside was burnt, the inside didn't seem fully cooked. TLDR: come for the ambiance and beer, do not come for the food. read more

I'm loving this place. The grilled mahi mahi sandwich and chicken dip were awesome. The rotisserie cauli is a MUST HAVE. Then they started brunch today and the prime rib hash and hashbrowns are out of this world. Also... Lobster deviled eggs - totally worth the $$$. Only complaint...toast wasn't buttered and I got none till I asked. But, that's nothing. I miss The Boundary but The Perch is definitely doing an awesome job at filling their space's shoes. Bloody was super good too!! ANNNNDDDD... for my parents out there??? Kids eat FREE EVERY DAY from 4-6 pm!!! I'm going to frequent here just so they stay around. My next dish? The brussel sprout salad!!! Oh!! And the prices are spot on. Go to The Perch!!! read more

The vibe of this place is actually so nice! We ordered takeout but when I went to pick it up, I got to see the outdoor dining area and the indoor seating within the restaurant! The half rotisserie chicken was super juicy! The mashed potatoes were good too but my boyfriend didn't love the jus it came with. We wish it came with gravy instead. The spinach and artichoke dip came in a great portion size, but the dip definitely could have used more salt or more Parmesan to make it more salty in my opinion. Overall, definitely want to try so many more of their dishes and would love to actually dine there. read more

We were not welcomed here. I took my elderly parents out to eat here today 5/27/23 @430pm who were excited for the roasted chicken dinner. Only to be rushed out of the restaurant because we did not look like the customers that would come and eat here. Right after ordering our food, 3 people came and delivered all our dishes ( that's efficient! I thought) However bussers continued to hover over our table and as soon as a dish was done they collected it. We quickly received the check. I noticed no other table next to us were receiving that much attention to finish. There were also plenty of tables available. It was pretty obvious what was going on. read more

Wow. First of all...vibes! This place gives you all the good feels, the music, furniture, plants etc. i just loved the energy and aesthetic. Second of all the food & drinks did not disappoint. Everything was simply delicious & came out pretty quickly. I got the breakfast sandwich with a side of the hash browns (which were to die for!) as well as splitting lobster deviled eggs & the sweet cinnamon rolls with my friend. Her meal was great as well. Nice size portions & exceeded our expectations. Considering all the great reviews this place has, we decided to visit and try out the "highly rated" food. Food: The Grilled Mahi Sandwich was a tad bit salty but was still pretty good. 4/5. Wrightwood Salad: I would have hoped that the salad would be fresh and well-dressed. Alas, it was neither. The lettuce was soggy and the dressing was excessive. The croutons were very soggy, likely due to the excessive dressing. The chicken was okay. Overall not a great salad. 2/5. Hygiene: There was lipstick on our glasses. Dishes were dirty. There's nothing grosser than dirty dishes, especially in a time where diseases and infections are at a global high. 0/5. Service: Not friendly, not attentive either. 1/5. Ambience: Great ambience. Music wasn't too loud, lights were bright, outdoor patio is great too. Typical brewery vibes. 4/5. Mean score: 2.1/5 read more

My daughter and I had brunch here a few Sundays ago. The restaurant is beautiful, with lots of exposed brick and murals. The food was also delicious! We started with the cheese curds, and they were very good. I had the filet sliders, and they were absolutely delicious. I'd definitely order these again! The Perch was the perfect welcome to my visit to my hometown of Chicago. Every time I come back I appreciate the friendliness of all the staff in the Midwest and the perch did not disappoint with its service. The ambiance was great with all the Oktoberfest swag but nothing tops the incredible cheese curds, the buttery delicious cornbread, the yummy Brussels sprout salad to balance it out and most importantly the beer flights. Stopped by The Perch for a Sunday brunch and it did not disappoint! Their outdoor seating was perfect - lots of open space and umbrellas for shade. The service was great. Our server was attentive and the food came out pretty quickly. I got the mimosa and eggs Benedict. It's a lot for one person, but absolutely delicious! The star of the show was the hash browns. I was pleasantly surprised that it was made in the casserole style - so lots of butter and cheese. The eggs Benedict themselves were tasty. Not the best I've ever had, but it will not disappoint. Just finished a great dinner here with my two friends. We were out to celebrate my birthday as well as my friends. I guess the third of us had informed the restaurant of our special celebration. Unfortunately they didn't recognize us for that. Boo. Service, ambience, drinks and food all were good. We had the croquettes, lobster deviled eggs, and the cornbread for apps. I really liked the cornbread. Nice mix of sweet and savory. Dinner my friend and I had the Brussels sprouts salad. She added chicken. The third person in our group had the short ribs. We all enjoyed the taste. Cocktails were great as well. I had the purple rain and an espresso martini. All yummy! I'd recommend coming. We were disappointed that it was cold and rainy. I was excited to try The Perch, as I live in the neighborhood and have heard good things from friends (especially about Brunch). We decided to go for a early dinner (6pm) on a Friday night. The Good - The ambiance is really great and they have a pretty large/beautiful patio lit with twinkle lights! It is right on Division so it feels busy and like you are in the middle of the city & action, without being too much. - Cocktails -- Me and my 2 friends all got the 'Random Acts of Flyness' (a tequila based drink with aperol, ginger beer, etc.). We all agreed that it was one of the best cocktails we've had in the city this summer. We even got 3 rounds. - Service -- super quick with drinks & food even though they were very busy. The Not So Good - I ordered the 'Cauliflower Steak' as my entree because I love cauliflower dishes and how creative they can be with seasoning/flavor/etc. Unfortunately, the cauliflower was barely cooked, didn't taste like it had salt or seasoning, and very little sauce on the side. Was a big disappointment, because it sounded great on the menu. It was honestly really bad -- don't order. - My friends got the Wrightwood Salad and Sliders -- both were just okay, nothing special or particularly flavorful. While food was a bit of a bummer and overpriced, I will most likely be returning for Brunch because I've heard great things and love the ambiance. read more

Our waitress was very nice and efficient. The only time we found ourselves looking for her was at the very end for our check. All our food was amazing! From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with an atmosphere that combines elegance and comfort. The restaurant's stylish decor and warm ambiance create the perfect setting for a memorable meal. Now, let's talk about the food. The menu at The Perch is a culinary delight. Every dish is a work of art, bursting with flavor and creativity. Whether it's their exquisite seafood options, perfectly grilled steaks, or their mouthwatering desserts, each bite is a taste sensation. The quality of the ingredients and the skillful preparation shine through in every dish. But it's not just the food; it's the impeccable service that truly sets The Perch apart. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and goes above and beyond to ensure a remarkable dining experience. Their attention to detail and willingness to cater to your preferences make you feel like a valued guest. I came here for brunch and was excited by the fact that it's dog-friendly and even has a doggy menu--such a nice touch for those of us dining with pets! Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to expectations this time around. We started off with the cheese curds, which were fantastic. They were fried in tempura batter, making them much lighter than your typical cheese curd. It was a strong start, but sadly, the entrees didn't hold up. We ordered the fried egg sandwich, which was recommended to us. However, the cheese wasn't even melted, and there wasn't much flavor that stood out. We also got the Division Street omelette, which was also disappointing. The bacon bits inside were tough and hard to chew, making the dish a bit of a struggle. Both entrees came with hashbrowns, which were surprisingly good--creamy and flavorful, even better than the main dishes themselves. Another downside was that while the cheese curds came out quickly, the entrees took quite a while to arrive. I've been here before for dinner, and I remember the dinner menu being much better than the brunch experience. I'd definitely recommend coming for dinner instead. While I love the atmosphere and the dog-friendly vibe, the brunch entrees left a lot to be desired. read more

If you're looking for a great spot to grab a brew in Chicago, look no further than The Perch! Located at 1932 West Division, this brewery offers a great selection of beers and a cozy, inviting atmosphere. One of the most popular offers at The Perch is their flight of beers, which allows you to sample several different brews and find your new favorite. They also have a great selection of seasonal and specialty beers, so there's always something new and exciting to try. But what really sets The Perch apart is its commitment to providing high-quality beer at an affordable price. Their cheapest product, the House Lager, is a favorite among regulars and visitors alike. It's crisp, refreshing, and perfect for a day out with friends. But don't just take my word for it - stop by The Perch and see for yourself! With friendly staff, delicious brews, and a welcoming atmosphere, it's no wonder this spot has become a local favorite. Whether you're a beer aficionado or just looking for a fun night out, The Perch is sure to impress. read more

My girlfriends and I reserved a table for 8 at The Perch Kitchen and Tap during restaurant week. We were intrigued by the fixed brunch menu priced at $25, which included a choice of mimosa or beer, appetizer, and entree. The appetizers, featuring croquettes, lobster deviled eggs, and avocado toast, were delightful. However, the cinnamon roll was a letdown - hard and unappetizing. For the entrees, half of us opted for the biscuits and gravy with an egg, which was a delicious choice. However, the BlackBird benny disappointed with its lack of chicken. Despite the restaurant's bustling ambiance during restaurant week, we were disappointed by the lack of attention from the staff. Our water glasses remained unfilled, and there was minimal check-in throughout the meal. Nevertheless, we managed to enjoy our time, thanks to good company and the overall quality of the food. The Perch Kitchen and Tap shows promise but needs to improve its service during peak hours. read more

Dropped by The Perch in Chicago for a brunch sesh with my buds, and it was a solid 3-star joint with that cool industrial-chic vibe. The Croquettes were straight-up fire--crispy, creamy, and packed with flavor, no complaints there. The Cinnamon Roll was a warm, gooey dream, perfectly sweet and honestly one of the best I've had in a minute. The Wrightwood Salad was super fresh with a nice mix of greens and goat cheese, but the portion felt a bit small for the price, and the dressing was just okay. The Fried Egg Sandwich with Hash Browns was tasty, with a runny egg and decent bread, but the hash browns were a little soggy and could've used more crisp. The staff was chill, the spot's got a dope atmosphere--good spot for a casual bite, but not quite a home run. read more

To start we got the trout dip, the brioche loaf, and the beets. The beets were fine - tasty but nothing thrilling. The brioche was special, nearly dessert like, melt in your mouthy buttery bread toasted golden brown. The best app was the trout dip which was like a tuna salad but made with fresh fish and just insanely tasty. Even if you don't like fish this is a must get. We ordered mains I had the whole trout (more trout I know) which was excellent. Spiced well and a very generous portion for $50ish bucks We had a birthday at the table and service was slow (though our waitress Sarah was so excellent). I think realizing this they did something special for the birthday. We ordered the cookies because we heard those were incredible. When those came out we also received the fig crème brûlée, the apple fritter (with vanilla/apple ice cream), and chocolate gelato (with a candle). I don't know if this was typical, but for the three of us this was CRAZY. It was easily an extra $50 in dessert (which I'm not complaining). Okay but how was everything? Let's start with what we ordered, the cookies were excellent. Melt in your mouth and stuffed with a hunk of high quality dark chocolate. And if that wasn't enough, it came with incredible caramel sauce. The fig crème brûlée was tasty. Hint of fig in there brought out a deeper flavor in the crème and it was brûléed perfectly. The apple fritter was good, but nothing special. The vanilla ice cream was a lovely palette cleanser to the chocolate from the cookie. See if you can ask to get a scoop next time with the cookies. Finally, the tiny scoop of chocolate ice cream was excellent. It felt like there was a deeper flavor that I couldn't quite put my finger on. Super rich and luscious. From the start, the hostesses were inviting and lovely. The restaurant is very pretty, warmly blending a modern style with a touch of classic French bistro elegance. The fully opened bifold windows are adjacent to the pergola-topped patio, letting a glorious, cascading breeze drift through the space to create a wonderful indoor-outdoor flow and a lively weekend energy. We loved this so much during our first dinner visit last week that we had to order it again for brunch! Spectacular! Nova Lox Platter: The wild salmon topped with diced red onion, capers, and hard-boiled egg crumble, served with an everything bagel and a side of chive cream cheese, was excellent. To be honest we should've went elsewhere, the only thing about the food that actually seemed to have any flavor was the fries and even they were a little salty like my wallet when we left LOL The Jumbo (not so much) Lump Crab Benedict at $25 was honestly boring lacking any flavor also it didn't even come with potatoes I ended up sharing my Lincoln Park Turkey Club that was good but even it was pretty basic at $21, the Burger at $21 literally looked like something off the kids menu the bun was bigger than the patty LOL and the Blackened Chicken Caesar at $19 was more like an appetizer size and the chicken at least it was juicy not dry. Other reviews about brunch here seem to be about the same and honestly I think it's funny they don't even try to elevate their food when so many say about the same things. I think the only reason why people come to this place is 1. It's located in Lincoln Park and 2. that makes it a trendy spot to eat. So why bother fixing anything when it's just trendy and flavorless Their brunch is mediocre but apparently dinner is where it's at. However after the experience with brunch I'm not even sure I would even go back. Come here for the staff eat at your own expense maybe your food will have flavor or not but honestly do what you want and keep it trendy

I ordered a hugo spritz and we got the truffle fries with garlic truffle aioli as an addition as well. The bar was a bit backed up but the servers were lovely and kept up updated about it. The fries were perfectly soft on the inside but crisp on the outside without being too greasy. 10/10. Pretty lively place with lots of people and TVs playing but very enjoyable environment. Would definitely come back to try their large pizza selection!

I ordered the smash burger sliders, the Cali salad, and a spritz. The sliders and salad were both $9 during happy hour, which was a great deal.
