My friend and I came in to grab a bite on Thursday evening and I noticed most of their orders were for carryout so they definitely were still busy as it was freezing outside. They sat us at a small table in the very front under the heater, which was really appreciated considering it was negative degrees outside. All of the pasta options were so different and our server knew all of them by heart, including the noodle shapes which I was really impressed about. She was able to recite off the specials without looking at anything either. Server was extremely attentive and the ambience was casual stop in. We ended up ordering the butternut squash pasta with pancetta as well as the vodka rigatoni, and we added some chicken. The vodka rigatoni was not very spicy, but there was just enough sauce to cover all the noodles, but you didn't need anything, but they gave you a piece of bread to stop up the rest if that's for you. The butternut squash absolutely took the cake. It was savory, it was a little bit sweet, it was not greasy from the pancetta, but very well seasoned. You know the ones you make when you're trying to make use of all the left over groceries. We split the Capellini Pomodoro and we were impressed although the very rich execution strays far from the traditional light recipe of angel hair pasta with chopped tomatoes and olive oil. Here we have plenty of classic red marinara sauce with lots of shredded parmesan so it resembles more of a classic spaghetti dish. A small and cute restaurant perfect for a night out to grab some quick pasta! There is a decent amount of seating and we were able to get a table for 2 immediately. The rigatoni pesto was a special dish that they were offering and the Farfalle pollo is listed as their signature dish. Both were absolutely delicious! I forget her name but she was very personable and thorough. They were out of 2 ingredients to make a certain cocktail and then out of another cider beer that my friend ordered. I ended up getting the limoncello spritz and it was okay! The pasta was superb - no surprise. They had over 15 pasta dishes and it was seriously hard to choose which one. The lobster ravioli is phenomenal. It has a lot of sauce that you can dip the bread that is provided into. There is a perfect amount of spinach and sun dried tomatoes where it isn't too overpowering. The inside of the restaurant is very low light and gives off the vibe of a dive bar which is really interesting and unique. It was a regular tomato pasta dish to me which I don't find exciting. It was good but I probably would have enjoyed the pesto more. Not the person at the register that actually gave me my order; they were great. There was someone else that decided to ask the girl behind me what her order was. Helped her & that's it.
