Quick dining experience, lots of seating, also incredible decor for the holiday season! I really loved the huge Yeti watching us eat. I think the food was only okay, it seemed a bit lacking in flavor and I found myself putting more and more hot sauce on it with every bite. However, the price point is seemingly appropriate for that! Great place for an easy bite and holiday cheer!

Vintage with a touch of whimsy is the best description I can give of the dining room. The design of this place is a pretty eclectic with thrifted pieces effortlessly incorporated into the decor and seating. It's cute. You seat yourself and a staff member will bring a menu and greet you when they get a moment. The staff were generally pleasant and helpful. Above were the positives of my experience. The wait for food for a one-person order was longer than it should've been, and the food was mediocre at best. I should have trusted the previous reviews on the omelettes, but I'm a sucker for omelettes so I tried it. It was not good. I wish the menu was more specific about the ingredient options...when I ordered onions, I didn't expect a ringlets of red onion and when I ordered peppers, I didn't expect the sweetness of red peppers. Overall, the egg to veggie ratio was off. The eggs were super thick, like when you cook 3-egg omelette in a small pan, but they were also layered like maybe it was more than 3 eggs. The veggies were sparse. I needed more of all of them (except I had to pick the red peppers out to avoid the unwelcome sweet flavor in my attempt at a savory breakfast). Also, there was butter added underneath the veggies on my omelette. Like literally a pad of butter spread underneath. I can't understand why anyone would do this when making an omelette. Finally, I had to add salt. There was no seasoning in the food...literally none. I went with hash on the side rather than grits. It was okay at best. I wouldn't have it again. Honestly, I should have gone with my first mind and ordered a biscuit sandwich...because as much as I want to go back to try that, I can't imagine taking myself back here after such a subpar culinary experience. I'd rate this experience a 1.5 so I rounded up to 2 stars.

Vibe: 9.6/10 Modern abstract style with taste. The energy here is pretty immaculate. Although it is a bit wacky in here, it is an absolutely beautiful space. There are beautiful paintings in corners and stars hanging from the ceiling. Upstairs looks like it is Music choice is a bit basic for something this cool tbh. Maroon 5 in 2025? Cmon let's be so fr. Service: 10/10 I went on a Saturday and hardly anyone was in here, which is a bit disappointing because it's great here so far. I seated myself and I had service like 10 seconds later. It took about 10minutes to get my meal. Food: 7.9/10 - Bacon was in thicc slices which was really nice. Was cooked perfect. Waffle was so beautiful I could cry. Waffle was pretty spot on. I don't think it was the best waffle I've ever had. I almost ascended to heaven on the first bite though. The waffle gets dinged points as the butter was rock hard cold and I couldn't spread. Cinnamon roll was HUGEE. I couldn't believe my eyes. However, because of the surface area of the roll, it didn't bake very good. The roll was dry almost all of the way through. The icing was okay, nothing inventive. Time spent here: I walked in at 12:32pm and walked out at 1:07pm Overall: 8.2/10 - The atmosphere here is great. From the decorations to the music, it is just nice being in the space. Food was pretty good minus the cinnamon roll. Fast service.

    Overcooked eggs. Very dry.

Food and drinks are very expensive. They can not serve scrambled eggs, but only dry overcooked omelets. A drip coffee is $4 - and server did not come to fill up. We were party of three. Two of us finished our meal by the time the third person was served their food. This seems to be the new normal in most restaurants. They also suggest a 30% tip which is ridiculous!

What a disappointing experience. If I had read the google reviews before visiting - the ones for which the chef writes back and refutes every concern the reviewers have and says they should have spoken to the manager while there - I wouldn't have bothered. Our Sunday brunch visit was all kinds of wrong. First off, there's a sign that says we should seat ourselves, and someone would be right with us. So we found a table for two on the covered patio. After about ten minutes, someone finally offered us menus. It was at least another ten before she took our order. In all, it was an hour from the time we sat until the time we had food. If the "seat yourself" rule was lifted, maybe the place could seat only as many customers as they can serve well, rather than serve more people poorly. Also, maybe inconsiderate guests wouldn't be moving tables and swiping seat cushions from the patio chairs so they can sit on two while leaving other guests with none. In this time of COVID no distancing guidelines were enforced. Seating was a mess, with tables pushed together and aisles blocked. The menu is rather limited. (We were given the same menu other folks have posted here.) An omelette was $12 and the only sides offered were grits or hash - no toast, no fruit. It looked like a two-egg omelette with very little meat. A four-egg omelette is $25; I suppose it's meant to be shared. A "Bishop's breakfast bowl for two" is $16.25 and includes two eggs, sausage, bacon, hash, and a biscuit. That sounds like a meal for just one hungry person - y'know, the size of a Denny's Grand Slam, except twice the price. Grits were very garlicky. Toad-in-the-hole was a modest portion. Gravy was not in the dish's description but covered the food. There were a lot of peppers and onions in there; I guess they're in the hash. I don't know why the egg yolks were hard while the egg whites were runnier than the gravy; I couldn't eat much of it. The menu lists "coffee" but no espresso drinks or other coffee treats. The person who brought our food was not the person who took our order. This second woman (a bit older than the others, who seemed to be teens) set the food down, said "Oh, you don't have silverware - hold on while I fire someone, ha ha..." so I guess she's management. She left and then returned with flatware and set it down without saying a word. She did not ask if we needed anything else. We each got a fork and soup spoon rolled up in a paper napkin. A knife would be nice with the awkward mess of toasty bread and runny eggs. No one ever came by to check on us until we were done and awaiting a check. I would have liked the aforementioned knife, salt and pepper (my food was very bland, except for the excess of green peppers), and drink refills. We heard about the alcohol situation from folks at the next table, as well as overheard a waitress explain it to other diners: the place has no liquor license, but serves mimosas and bloody Marys for free. "If you order a few, I guess we'd charge you for an orange juice," she said. We were not offered these choices, and no staff came by after we'd heard. I don't want to pay $12 for runny eggs just to subsidize other folks' drinks. Also I'm not 100% sure this is legal, even in Arkansas. So to return to the comments by the chef that other reviewers should have spoken to management: we didn't have the opportunity. There was no one to be found for any sort of help or service. I can't recommend this place.

It was great. The reason I didn't give a 5 star is because they were out of certain sandwiches on the menu. Otherwise, the place was fairly busy. Service was excellent. The place looked amazing. And the food we got was perfect. If you send me the Reuben I wanted, this may move to a 5 star review.

This was a great spot for brunch! Be mindful that you can only order off the brunch menu if you arrive before noon on the weekends. This was a little disappointing as my vegetarian friend was left with little options. Also, they sold out of cinnamon rolls very early so we were sad that we weren't able to try that. The layout of the restaurant is great and I really liked the decor. The Belgian waffle and breakfast biscuit sandwich were wonderful. The cheese grits lacked salt and pepper. Overall, not a bad experience and I'd come back.

    Salad Wrap
    Erika C.

Local students recommended this place as a staple in town. Their menu offered both breakfast and lunch options. The atmosphere was unique and the service was great! The salad wrap was so delicious and as you can see the orange tomato wrap was something new I've never had! All the ingredients were cut fresh which made this meal so delicious! Highly recommend! (Beware they close at 2PM)

Disappointed that while there was only 1 table seated we were told there was no room for us unless we had a reservation.

I've tried several different things from here. Let me tell you about my favorites. The highlights. There are three. 1. The chicken tenders with sweet Thai chili. This sauce is the best if you ask me. I sometimes go for mango habanero. But my absolute favorite is the Thai. I'm not even going to comment on the chicken. It's fried chicken. It's pretty good. The end. 2. Fried mushrooms. Look, I know it's not for everyone. But my absolute favorite thing about Slims are this mushrooms. I get them every damn time. They're horribly unhealthy. They're freakishly greasy. But, omg, they're amazing. 3. Strawberry lemonade. No longer available. I hope they bring this back. Their strawberry lemonade got me hooked on lemonade. Never was much of a fan until I decided to go out in a limb and try it. I instantly fell in love. Man, of all the chicken places I think this is the best. I know people are super in love with Christian Chicken - and I like them, too - but I just think Slims is better. Sorry bout it. Go give it a try. Funny story, my bosses boss (a senior chief with the navy) came to town one day to visit my office. I was out of the office all day so I never really saw him. The next day he called me. He said, "PS3, have you ever tried that chicken place?" I told him I had. He said, "Have you tried the cayenne chicken sandwich?" I told him no. He said, "You need to try it. That's all. I just wanted to tell you that, bye." It's funny because he literally only ever calls me if there's a problem to fix. This day he just wanted to brag in Slim Chickens. Lol

Parking was ample, even if it meant walking a few dozen yards to the front entrance. I ordered the 12" Feta Supreme Pizza, and added extra onions. I was supremely impressed with how fresh all of the ingredients tasted. The waitress told me that the restaurant makes its own pizza dough from scratch. Also, they do the same thing for their sandwich bread. I had hoped that the feta cheese would have had more of a tangy flavor to it. Perhaps the heat of the pizza oven affected it? I really liked that they actually make their own tea in the restaurant the old-school way, with tea bags in a pot of boiling water on the stove. I hated that they served all of their drinks in styrofoam cups, though. The inside of the restaurant is rather modest, but seemed ample for the customers who decided to eat in. I noticed that there were at least half a dozen pick up orders during the time that I ate there. My waitress was attentive, informative, and friendly. I left her a decent tip because of it. It's my hope to return here again when I'm in the Jonesboro area. This place earned a solid four stars, and I wholeheartedly recommend this locally-owned pizza joint.
