It's ok for yuppies. Not much of a menu for big eaters. Basically a Coffee Lounge that "oh ya we serve food".

Pros: Their new location is great. In good weather it is nice to sit outside. Relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Cons: Their sandwich menu seems to be items you could easily make at home and throw in a lunchbox. The Reuben tasted great but the presentation made me think these were all simple grocery store items out of a pack and jar and immediately ponder, "why the $10.50 price tag"? Conclusion: I'd like to try their salads to see if they are noteworthy. A great location and potential. Hopefully they will showcase the "local" items more and remind us that this is something worth traveling here for. read more

We were walking around downtown and looking for a place to eat. Went in the Parsonage to be seated and the host kindly let us know they were closing in four minutes. We didn't realize that they closed fairly early. We thanked her, left, and continued walking to find a place to dine-in. We took 10 steps out the door and an employee ran to us and let us know she would stay an hour late to allow us to eat there. I thanked her but let her know I couldn't do that and we would just get Chinese across the street. She repeatedly told us it is okay and that they would enjoy serving us. I know more than anything the girls were ready to leave, but they still allowed us to eat there during closing hours and didn't treat us like a nuisance. Wonderful people, and BLT was amazing. 100% recommend. read more

Worth a try! Some work colleagues and I tried this quirky little place for lunch. The food was good and the service was fast and friendly. You order at the register when you first walk in, then you're seated. I had the spicy chicken and waffles with potato salad, which cost around $12 with a drink. Overall, it was good, though the chicken was a bit too spicy to really enjoy about halfway through. The waffles were perfect. There's an obvious church motif throughout. Stained glass and a crown-of-thorns light fixture highlight the decor. The place is worth another visit. read more

We arrived on a saturday morning and it was pretty empty. You order at the front and then pick any table to sit at. Its a great place for brunch as there are ample of choices of salad and sandwiches. Sadly there was no soup when we wanted some. My only complaint was that the blt sandwich is incredibly tiny on the choose two option. Im not sure if its that way if you order just the sandwich but it was smaller than my hand. I also got the Toad in the hole and this was something new to me. Very unique and different. What made it so cool was that it didnt fall apart when i picked it up. I also wish there was a bit more gravy to the dish but thats okay. Our meal came out to be about 12$ a person read more

Decent place. Local. Recently moved to a bigger space. Was crowded and you stand in line to order then find a place to sit. Got the belgian waffles and potato hash. Took forever to come out. Waffles were good. Got gypped with the potato hash. Was supposed to come with onions and a bunch of other stuff but it was just plain potatoes in a lil bowl for 4 bucks. Horrible service. We came in and waited about 15 minutes just to be seated. Then when we finally was seated, our food took 1.5 hrs to come out. The waitress offered our party cinnamon rolls for our wait but then told us we had to pay for then. Then, they gave someone in our party a cup with pink Womens lipstick on it. Disgusting and unsanitary!!!! We tried talking to the manager, she was rude and nasty. And only offered to give him another cup. Then said well the dishwasher can't get everything! Really!!! That's the nastiest mess I have ever heard. She then went to another table and talked about us! We refused to pay for the food and she said that's fine and walked off mad. This place used to be inside a parsonage... so they kept the name and the decor matches.. it's a very unique idea. The service is great and they are super friendly! Unfortunately for me I am allergic to oregano and it is in quite a few of their items. They were very accommodating though. I'm giving them 4 stars and not 5 because their food portions are very small. I paid $10 for a small sandwich and a bag of chips :( Sure the quality is there, but I walked away starving still. Great place and menu! Awesome circuses. Nice and friendly staff! Wish it would stay open late. Had the Greek Salad, had to customize it to make it more authentic! I would recommend the following when ordering the Greek Salad: no Parmesan cheese, no giardiniera peppers, no croutons, and add feta cheese, cucumbers, pepperoncini peppers, and order a side of bread because place doesn't carry pita bread. This is now my favorite restaurant in Jonesboro. I recently moved here for graduate school and was disappointed to see more chains than original restaurants. When I stumbled upon this gem, I couldn't wait to visit! I ordered the Parsonage House Salad with the freshly made chicken ramen soup for lunch. Their farm-to-table method can really be witnessed in the food. The vegetables in the salad were so crisp and really beautiful. The soup's seasoning was soooooooo good! I was literally drinking from the cup by the time I was done...really should have gotten the bowl. My friend also ordered the special for that Friday which was a salmon croquette sandwich. Talk about flavor...yes, I took some of his lol. I believe it was seared. The freshness, the aroma, the seasoning, and no bad aftertaste like most salmon croquettes I've usually had. This thing was legit. The atmosphere was also really nice. I wish I had taken more photos but their Parsonage theme was very unique and every item had a real story behind it. From the light fixtures, to the farmhouse wood in the bathroom, this place really made us feel comfortable. The setup is you order at the door (the cashier was so shy, but such a sweetheart), then you get these vintage type table tickets, then your order is delivered. Not much of a fan of how the restaurant is set up. You are required to order at the front desk (right by the door), instead of having servers take your order at the various tables -- which is inconvenient since it clutters up the entrance/exit. They also don't serve eggs more than one way (omelette) for brunch. I wanted an order of sunny side up eggs, and was denied my request. I don't see how it's supposed to be a brunch location with such a small menu of mediocre food items. The "Cheesy Grits" were good, if you don't consider how incredibly salty they were. The environment was nice, but food typically drives the experience stronger than the atmosphere. I do plan on eventually coming back to possibly have a lunch meal, in hopes that it's better. read more

Beautiful, Farm to Table restaurant. A devoted couple run this restaurant and it shows in every detail. I was in Jonesboro on business and wanted to find something other than the endless supply of chain restaurants. My family and I stopped in just 15 minutes before closing lunch service and they took great care of us, despite being ready to close up as we walked in the door. The husband is the chef and boasts that there isn't even a can opener in the kitchen as he makes everything from scratch using local supplies from local farmers who stop in nearly daily. The food is fantastic. The service is charming. And the ambiance is stunning. Skip the chains, and try this for a change. You won't regret it. read more

It is exactly as advertised. A soup and sandwich place. I'm not much of a soup and sandwich kinda person but my fiancé is and she loved it. The food was good. And the decor and vibe is quite nice. There is a slight hippy vibe mixed with coffeehouse. I'm surprised I didn't find a latte machine here. The brunch menus looks good. I plan to come back and try that. We went for a Sunday Brunch...and will not return. The service is abysmal! There were 3 servers covering the small serving area of maybe 10 tables. Our drinks weren't kept topped off, we had to ask for refills of coffee twice before we got the refill. Also, our server practically whispered the entire time. If we were dining in a library, that would be understandable. However, when you can't even get the attention of your table because you don't know how to speak normally, that's a problem. I understand she was probably in high school or college, but no one ever made a difference while being quiet. And now we come to what they are passing off as food. Let me get the single good comment out of the way...the biscuits and gravy were good. Not excellent, or even great, just good. The Belgian waffles were mealy in the center. The open face omelettes tasted and had the texture as if they had been cooked before, kept in a warming drawer, brought out to be topped with the toppings of your choice and placed in a microwave to heat everything up. Whomever came up with that abortion they call potato hash needs to be tarred, feathered, and run out of town on a rail! Why can't you get eggs to order? Why does a "brunch" not have Eggs Benedict? Also, when a customer orders a cinnamon roll and you give the option of original or pumpkin spice glaze, and the customer selects the original glaze...DONT MAKE A SUBSTITUTION WITHOUT DISCUSSING IT WITH THE CUSTOMER FIRST!!!! The service was terrible today. Every time a question was asked the answer was "I don't know let me check" and would have to ask again about the answer. NO substitutions with food at all, whatever is listed on the menu you are stuck with or choose something else. We ordered a cinnamon roll, not once but twice and once we finally got it the thing was cold, even the "fresh poured" icing. We got the OMG that was WAY over priced and was described as 4 pieces each of bacon and sausage but was actually pieces just cut up for each section of the sandwich. We waited to check out with our check for over 15 minutes and never once was asked how our food was once it was delivered. I would not recommend this place. I have only been there for brunch and it was great! This place has an interesting set-up. When you come in, you order and pay then sit and wait to be served. I'm guessing it saves on staff. Summary: This is a great place for someone who enjoys a unique soup and sandwich place. I love a good sandwich. Yes, I know, there are better things for "fine dining" and food snobs can raise their nose at the idea of a simple sandwich but sometimes there is nothing better than good old sandwich. I had heard from multiple people that Parsonage had great sandwiches. I had tried a few times to eat here but I would always seem to arrive just when they were closing or just before they were scheduled to open. Tonight, I just happened to be downtown for an event and noticed the Parsonage was open...so I seized the opportunity. I hate to say it...but the sandwich didn't win the night. That honor went to the rustic potato and andouville soup. Wow. First, they serve a cup of soup in a mug so you actually get a decent amount of soup. The flavor of this soup was outstanding. The sausage didn't overpower the soup, the potato flavor was bursting and I could taste every single ingredient. I actually kicked myself for not just ordering soup but then I had no way of knowing the soup would be THAT good. Now...the sandwich. I ordered the club sans tomato. I was impressed that they didn't skimp on the meat in the sandwich...a lot of places when you get a club seem to put the least amount of meat on it since there are multiple items in the sandwich. I enjoyed the sandwich although I wasn't a fan of the aioli...I would have preferred something a little more mustard based. Not that it was bad on the sandwich at all. Not a fan. On our first (and last) visit, the young lady at the front was annoyed that we didn't know how the restaurant worked. Had no clue that you ordered when you came in. Asked for a menu and she rolled her eyes and said it will be a second and then proceeded to take orders of people who came in behind us. We waited for a few minutes and then finally left. The place was not busy with only a couple tables with people eating and the one family who came in after us. Had high hopes for a great little lunch location but poor customer service ruined that. I even told the young lady that this was our first visit and we're excited to give it a try. That was only met with, "what would you like to order?"
