Took my wife and our family to lunch here for my wife's Birthday. It was pretty busy but the wait time was only around 30 minutes. We were seated and the waitress came over and took our drink orders. She was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu items etc. She didn't waste any time and she was back with our drinks. Took our food order and helped out with different ideas and recommendations. We enjoyed our awesome crescents as we talked and waited for our food to come out. As busy as this place was it took no time to bring our meal out to us! Fast service, Great Food! The baby back ribs are AWESOME! Our server came around several times and took Great care of us. Cheese bites and bread are good. Steaks were cooked correctly. The service is poor, the wait for food was truly absurd, and the booths were dirty when we sat. Our waitress apologized 3 times for how long it was taking, did not clear our tables and then requested us to submit a survey at the end. I don't expect comped food - even though it was wrong, came out room temp and we waited 40 minutes for it...but I mean really? We waited 20 minutes on help to checkout with their "virtual cashiers" all to have her to help us. Skip it and give back to local places, not chains. read more

This is hands down the best Cheddar's location I've ever been to! Sweet tea is amazing times two lol! The service was even more amazing. I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Wrap and a Ceasar Salad. The food was surprisingly good. I had the eight (8) ounce, top-sirloin steak, cooked medium. It was prepared to my liking, and I would order it again. For sides (included in the price of the steak), I ate the coleslaw and broccoli casserole. Both tasted fresh, but the portions were minuscule. Since their non-alcoholic beer selection was nonexistent, I opted for unsweetened iced tea. At $3.00 for a glass, next time I'd order water instead. I paid extra for a side of French fries, and I devoured them all. Unfortunately, the service was subpar. Our server tried to seat my friend and me right next to the restrooms. We refused, and asked to be seated at a window. Mind you, we were the only customers in the restaurant at about 2:15 p.m., so the entire section was empty. She argued that we were "out of her section", and that if the restaurant filled up, we would have to move. Talk about inflexibility. What ever happened to accommodating the paying customer? I'm unsure if her resentment was the reason why I didn't get my drink refilled until the very end of my meal. I can't say that my tip was very generous. I'm unsure if I'll bother returning here or not. I can get the exact same foods elsewhere for similar prices, but with superior service. read more

Visited this location 4 times while doing business in Pocahontas during the past 4 months. The first 2 visits were a 4 star... better than average. Went back about 3 weeks ago. Sat at the bar like the previous 2 times, new bartender. I was told upon sitting at the bar before I said a word " just give me a minute I have other things to do" in a tone that would make a person think they had done something wrong. Being a professional in a bar I thought, don't worry about a thing. I sat back, finally got drinks and a food order. Not efficient, not pleasant. But the beer was cold and wet, so ok. My date mentioned to the bartender her buttered off the cob corn was cold and so salty she couldn't eat it. I tasted it and ageed. The bartender response was "yeah I've heard that alot tonight" moved on and said nothing more. I thought she's having a bad night, everyone does. Thought we'd give Cheddar's another shot tonight. Sat down at the bar, I like sitting at a bar, learned it as a child. After waiting several minutes the same bartender with the same greeting, see above, showed up. My neighbors were taken aback at the greeting. Because it took so long for her to show up they tried to order drinks and food at the same time (pro move). Too much info for this one trick pony. She snapped back "hold on I'll get to you in a minute." Impressive. My date leaned in and said maybe just appetizers and eat elsewhere. I agreed. Turns out our neighbors were cool, the conversation was worth price of admission. Bottom line - food is average, service can make the difference. Their service at the bar is lacking. Ditto on the review posted by Jameson C earlier this year- as my time is valuable- except we didn't wait long enough to get seated when you have 3 hosts at the door doing NOTHING with empty tables and wait staff asking "Who has section so and so?" And the response was no one had that section tends not to exude confidence in waiting customers. With as many choices to chose from you would think if you get someone to come in the door at 4:00 on a Sunday...maybe you should try to keep them. So presentation, and as far as the place being clean, along with being nice inside, was a 5.. waitress was attentive, and sweet. We live three hours away and came to Jonesboro for a doctor's appointment, and decided to stop here since we've never been. We came around 11 right when they opened.. the croissants were pretty but stale, and the food had a nice presentation, but everything was cold, except for my husband's steak and sons chicken fried chicken. Queso was cold, meatloaf was cold, corn was cold, green beans was not done at all. Really hard and tough, and cold. The meatloaf also had a funny smell.! I'll start by saying I'm really surprised that this place only has 2.5 stars. I took my mom here for lunch on Saturday and I have no complaints. I was very pleased with our waitress who was very friendly and checked in often. I ordered the Monte Cristo which was AMAZING. I always have a hard time finding it in Atlanta so I was excited to see it on the menu. My mom ordered a salad which she liked as well. We tried to like this restaurant, we really did. The food that we could get was honestly pretty good. The service and availability on their menu was complete garbage....where do I start? Wanted soft drinks, nope, machine was down. Wanted ribs for dinner, negative, French fries, nope, baked potato, also no....ok so now we got steaks and out comes our food without the baked potatoes we ordered..::and then came out with sides we didnt even order. When asked the waiter admitted she knew, well it'd have been nice to know so we could've made a different choice. Admittedly the steak was very good. Then we tried to order their giant chocolate cake for the kids to tear into....you guessed it; also none of that. So at this point we asked to please talk to the manager to ask why half of their staples aren't in stock, he never came out. Waiter came back 10 mins after we'd requested him and we asked where he was. She hadn't even asked him to come out......still tipped 15% for half witted service and left but it was a stretch to want to do that. Ambiance of the restaurant is good and the place is quite clean. My wife and I decided to give this place a try tonight. We both had the beer battered shrimp dinners, here with fries and a salad and me with red bean and fries. The shrimp were awful. The batter was not full cook and fell off the shrimp when you tried to fork them. Definitely not fresh shrimp or even fresh frozen. The shrimp almost seemed like they were steamed shrimp for cocktails that they just battered and fried. The sides were OK but nothing to write home about. Def stay away from the shrimp. I was very impressed at the excellent service and food we received. Being from Memphis, I was skeptical about ordering ribs. Boy they didn't disappoint. This places matches some some of the best bbq ribs I've ever eaten. 20 bucks for a full slab of pork ribs was a shocker. I was expecting at least 30. And the portions were enough for two meals easy. Smokehouse Burger was cooked well through and still juicy. The toppings made it extra delicious with cheese, bacon, tomatoes, sautéed onions and bbq sauce with pickles under the bottom of the burger. I just wish there was a different bun that's not so firm. read more

Went here after our Family Reunion. The place was packed. Great waiter service. Ordered the Monte Cristo. The kitchen staff (I guess thats who they were) brought out the food. My fries were lukewarm from sitting & the Monte Cristo was doughy. What a shame b/c I hadn't ordered a Monte Cristo in a long time. Not on many menus & I was looking forward to it. I went to Jonesboro for the 4th of July and my children asked what did I want to eat and I said Cheddars and at first there was a slight issue with the service, but I want you to know the Manager Hunter handled the business and made everything right. The waiter was very nice and advised that they had just served a party of 60 and was in the midst of replenshing and pulling everything back together, we enjoyed everything and the service was superb. This place is the epitome of average. It's not awful, but it's not amazing. Most criminally, however, it's not interesting. My burger was literally just a burger, and even then there were some deterrents like the bun being strangely greasy and the patty not being seasoned. I actually originally ordered the meatloaf, but they apparently ran out... by 1 in the afternoon. I would've excused this as a freak incident but I noticed that others complained about their sporadic inventory as well. There was one memorable thing: the Wisconsin Cheese Bites. Went to eat there today when it was not busy at all. Very few cars in the parking lot. It took 25 minutes to be seated. Once we were seated one waitress came to take our order, then another guy came. The guy was taking our table but he asked if we had been waited on and we said yes. After 15 minutes I went to find someone to ask where our drinks were. The guy came back took our drink order again.
