We were seated quickly and our waitress was so nice! The interior is pretty cool and the live band was a nice touch, they were very talented! I ordered the firecracker shrimp and alligator bites. The firecracker shrimp was pretty good, but a little too much sauce which I think if there was a way to get a side of rice that would've helped with the flavor so I'd give it a 3/5. The alligator bites, presentation wise was nice, but flavor wise waaay too salty in my opinion although it was cooked well so for that I'd give it 2/5. Maybe safer to get a burger or sandwich next time. I'd go back for the vibes, but maybe not so much for the food however it's definitely bar food so that's something to keep in mind. I don't mind the place. There's a bartender who works there with a hat and brown/reddish beard and he's rude. Me and my sister were ignored. The other bartender made sure to get me my first beer. When I attempted to order a second round the 'rude guy' asked what I wanted and I asked for another beer then he walked away to chat with his friends at the bar for almost ten minutes then finally when he was done shoved my beer at me without any words. At this point I knew I wasn't wanted so we all left. I tend to visit this spot but if he's working me or the people I'm with won't even go in. read more

Table was not clean and restaurant seemed very run down. They only had ONE working toilet with NO toilet paper. It was gross and makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. My first visit here was a VERY long time ago when downtown Jonesboro (or "DoJo", humor me, it will catch on!) was starting to gentrify, the place was only about half the current size. Back then the dry county membership card formalities were more strictly enforced; these days, not so much. Great Nightlife (Pretty much the only Night Scene In Jonesboro). If you're wanting to have a night out with your friends this is the place to do it. Pricing is affordable, great music, accept on karaoke nights where there are people who think they can sing LOL. The owner and staff really know how to take care of their customers. Why do say that? The policy's of a establishment trickle down to everyday issues that come up often in daily business. On the day of our visit, it was unseasonably hot. We had our 4 legged family member with us with no place outside to accommodate us. Enter Hannah. This associate of the company found us a place on the premises that was perfect. She helped us through the menu and made our customer experience as good as it could get. Last month, I booked a group dinner for Tuesday 9/13 for group of 18 people at 6pm. The group arrived and was told there was no reservation but they were able to accommodate them. With only 1 cook and 1 server, the service was horrible and meals were delivered sporadically over the course of 3 hours. I tried to call to speak to the owner but was unable to reach anyone (phone # listed goes to voicemail at 5pm). Our company has held many dinners at Brickhouse but this one was our last. Came here while visiting the family over Thanksgiving. What a great and refreshing place for this city! I was very impressed with the food here. I got a chicken bacon and swiss sandwich with garlic mayo on a croissant. I was talking about this sandwich to my family for days. It was incredible. On the side i had the fried green beans i believe, which were a great sub for the normal french fries. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Jonesboro area! The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the place was DEAD. We were there on a friday night watching the Auburn game and it was a ghost town. I'm sure that is partly due to the fact that we came over Thanksgiving weekend. But all in all, a great experience! read more

Wandered in on karaoke night. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was fun. Our waitress was pregnant and still managed to be everywhere at once lol. I had the nachos and the creme brûlée cheesecake . The nacho flavor was delicious but there wasn't enough toppings and sauce to cover the bottom chips. This is not a review of the establishment from a customer perspective, but from a musician/band perspective. My band played Brickhouse around the middle of this year and had another gig scheduled August 2017 with email confirmation. One of our musicians show up and starts setting up and the staff is looking at him like he's crazy stating they weren't expecting us. They don't have a sound engineer ready or anything and basically the attitude was "too bad for you". Our booking agent attempted to straighten out the situation that night via phone in effort to gain some type of compensation for their mistake. No luck. Finally a couple of days later she spoke to the general manager who basically offered no compensation, not even an apology stating it was our problem. This is downright unprofessional, and to add insult to injury I turned down another job to play this venue. Let me say that we all make mistakes, booking issues happen, I get it. I'm also not one who just writes things like this out of spite and can tolerate a lot of things, but when a venue takes advantage of my time and money and then tries to hold me accountable for their mistake and offers no compensation (not even an apology), we have a problem. I have no desire to set foot or play in this venue against. To other musicians and bands, you've been warned. read more

Summary: Apparently this place has all the customers they want and don't want any more. I went to the Brickhouse tonight because some folks I know were planning to meet up for Karaoke. Being new to town, I wanted to meet some new people, so that's why I decided to go. When I walked in, the guy at the door said that Karaoke was starting at 8, so I instinctively checked my phone for the time. He pointed me to where the karaoke was taking place. I went in, found an empty table and had a seat. I saw people around me drinking, eating appetizers, etc. Wait staff came and went from these people...and didn't even give me as much as a friendly nod. I sat listening to the various people making musicians roll over in their graves when I realized it had been a while. Looked at my watch. 30 minutes and not a single member of the waitstaff came to see if I wanted anything. At this point, I felt a morbid curiosity to see how long it would go without them serving me. So I sat there, listening to the singers, watching everyone mill around. Finally close to an hour into my time there an older gentleman and his date came in and sat down. A member of the staff came to see what they wanted to drink within minutes. I left when it was an hour without any service. After all, if they couldn't come by in an hour, it was unlikely they were planning to do it. Apparently they have enough customers that they don't need to develop any new clientele. OH! How could I forget the WONDERFUL televisions? They were set as if someone was running a channel scan on them with PBS in the background. Now, I'll tell ya, this didn't look like the kind of place for people who like to watch PBS. I'm guessing someone screwed up something with the TVs and no one bothered to fix it because, heck, that would benefit the customers! We can't have that now, can we? Bottom line: There are other restaurants and drinking establishments downtown and I would bet that they would be more than open to the idea of new customers. I'd go to one of them rather than waste your time at a place that doesn't offer service to new folks. read more

I'm visiting from out of town, and we came here since our intended location was too busy. Wow... the food and service were incredible. I had an apricot glazed ribeye with sautéed spinach and mashed potatoes. It was to die for. They brought out Nutella beignets for a complementary dessert. Upon entering the restaurant the hostess was the most unprofessional and rude person I have ever encountered in a service industry.we made reservations two weeks prior to the event and they had lost our reservations. The waiter did an amazing job and I complimented him on his execution but I was still voicing my opinion on the fact that my reservation was lost from two week prior to my event. At this time management had me escorted for the establishment due to my criticism. This establishment is very unprofessional and will not earn my business again. Brickhouse changed their menu so its short, just one page, not as many options as before, and I feel like this means they're really focusing on being a bar first, that happens to have some food. We got the nachos, which were really good, but my caesar salad was terrible, all wilty brown lettuce, and the gumbo was good, but cold cold cold. The place is big so there's always somewhere to sit, before it turns into a hard core bar. And there were lots of TVs for sports watching. I don't think I'd go again though. read more

I used to live in Jonesboro and Brickhouse was a place I would go to every now and then. The last time I went was my LAST. It was December of 2011 and my baby brother was visiting. He serves in the Air Force and paid me a surprised visit. The was the first time I had seen him before he was deployed to Afghanistan. Anyway, we came here, they checked ID and what not, (my brother was 2 days shy of turning 21), and we were seated. The waitress took our drink order while my brother was in the bathroom. I ordered a mixed beverage and told her ro bring him water or whatever. He doesn't drink. She didn't ask for ID. She brought back two alcoholic beverages. My brother took A SIP of the drink and pushed it to the side. Said that he was gonna order a soda. We ordered food, food came out, and we ate. It was AFTER we had eaten the waitress decides to come back to ask for ID. Next thing we know...some guy walks up and takes the second untouched drink off the table. He tells my brother that he appreciated his service but since he was under aged he couldn't drink. Hey....no big deal. My brother and I both informed him that he wasn't going to drink in the first place, the waitress brought out two instead of one, total misunderstanding. Well guess what happens next......a big country looking bouncer wearing a baseball hat walks up and asked us if we were going to order anything else. We said no but we were going to stick around and go to the other side of the building to listen to the music. He gets REAL ugly and tells us, "well ya'll need to get up and get out." I asked, "Is there a probelm?" He say and again real rude, "No! Just get up and go NOW." The lady sitting next us asked what the hell his problem was. He stood over us with his fists balled up like he was going to rough us up if we didnt leave. I said "FINE". We left and he stayed on our tails until we were out the door. We were not disorderly, not loud, not bothering anybody, the whole drink thing was a mistake. We ate our meals and caught up with each other. If we were acting rowdy and causing problems then ok...put us out for causing trouble. This here was a little petty. I know the owner Dr. Dan Johnson. A friend of mine who is also a mutual friend of his told him what happened and he was apologetic. But still, we didn't have to get treated this way. This is typically bar food. The service was good and we enjoyed the atmosphere and older builder. We ordered the fried tomatoes and alligator and each got a meal. The gumbo was spicy. The sliders were large and you definitely got your money's worth. Nachos were average but large. The magic wrap was good and the quesadillas were average. This is my go to bar in Jonesboro, they have a solid beer selection and the bartenders know how to do more than open tabs and pour shots. I always have a blast here. I have not eaten at the brick house in well over a year. The "Gator Bites" just tasted like over salted chicken nuggets. This is a bar that happens to serve food. read more

The Brickhouse Grill is a great place for a cold beer and some good food. I've eaten there several times since I moved to Jonesboro and have never had a bad meal. The people are friendly and the service is always top notch. I recently had the "Loaded Byrd" and it was awesome. I love spicy food and this had just the right amount of blackened spice. The chicken breasts were big and juicy and the rice was cooked perfectly. I've also enjoyed the live entertainment and recently hung out on the "roof top" for some fresh air with my friends. This place is a great place to eat! It has a great atmosphere that you can't find anywhere else in Jonesboro. The food and the service are also great. I only have two complaints that lower my rating. The first one is the tables and chairs! I don't know who plans to have a business last a long time and doesn't take the money to invest in tables and chairs that will last! I come here about every other week for business and to bring my family. 9 out of 10 times I have to ask to move because when I am trying to cut my steak, the table is moving so much that my drinks are spilling. Also, they have tall tables upstairs but if they are very busy you will have to sit on a bar stool at them. Who wants to sit down and eat dinner on a bar stool? My second complaint is the bathrooms!! Just like with the tables and chairs, this must be the owners' first restaurant to own. You can't have a place that has a capacity of around 200 and only have THREE bathrooms!! Due to giving my friends the choice of where we go when downtown, I have unfortunately had to come to Brickhouse too many times than I would like to. Seriously, there's not ONE time I've gone to Brickhouse and NOT had bad service. The environment overall isn't that great but their problem is 1. the rude bartenders (literally every single one) and 2. the lack of bartenders. I don't want to go to a bar and have to wait 30 minutes to get a drink, and then when I do finally get the drink, get some attitude to go along with it. If you hate your job....get a different job, don't take it out on the customers. You're working at a bar for crying out loud, it's going to be busy. My first experience at Brickhouse was the worst. One of the bartenders accused me of trying to walk away with my drink without paying when what had actually happened is, he gave me my drink, then walked away and took other peoples orders. Could I have walked away? Absolutely, but I would never steal so I waited. While waiting, I turned around to talk to my friends and maybe 10 minutes later he snaps his fingers at me and tells me that I need to pay and that the next time I order, I better pay up. I even told him that I was actually still waiting on him and he just rolled his eyes. Every time I've gone after that, it hasn't been AS bad as that night, but it's never a good experience. RUDEST. SERVICE. EVER. That's it. I WILL say though...if you are downtown....hit up Creegans. Their bartenders are the total opposite from Brickhouse's, they're amazing. I've actually never been to Creegans and not had a good time. read more
