This is one of the Great finds in Jonesboro. A buffet that features home tasting foods, not the chain same food every time. Potatoes (150lbs), on Sundays peeled and cooked fresh. The Fried Chicken, wow! The veggies outstanding. Thank you Randy & wait staff. read more

Chef's In - Dessert bar. The lemon poppy seed cake is the best! - Southern Near Me - Jonesboro, Arkansas

Very friendly people serving delicious food with a smile. You just can't beat Chef's In.

I took two Chefs Inn virgins to lunch yesterday. One, my best friend that just moved back to Jonesboro after traveling the world for 45 years. The other, a lady that we grew up with and hadn't seen in 51 years. The last time that my friends were in this location, they were buying shoes from Mr. Gordon. The buffet line was magnificent as always. Beautiful, hot, delicious food. After filling up their plates, we sat down and that's when it happened. Tears. Yes tears. We sat there talking about how much this food reminded us of our mom's and grandma's cooking. Everyone got what they wanted and not a bad word about the food at all. Chicken, wonderful. Pork chops, unbelievable. The service, second to none. If you're wanting the best home cooked meal in town, Chefs inn is the place. BRING YOUR FRIENDS read more

Can't wait to go back! Huge, selection of FRESH HOME COOKIN on this buffet. You know you're in the right place when it's packed with locals, first responders, construction workers, farmers lined up. THEY know where the food is tasty and a great value for their hard-earned money. BEST MEMORY: Sweetest "fine collectables-aged" lady serving the tables makes you think you're at Gramma's table-SO BE NICE TO HER!!! If you leave there hungry, it's your fault. read more

Their cooked veggies are good. The only drawback is fried fish isn't served. The deserts are also delicious.

Fantastic restaurant. We love going on Thursdays for the pork chops! The best mashed potatoes and gravy too!

This place is always a homerun. I've only been here on Sundays. You just can't beat the price for the quality and the consistency that they provide. Best dressing ever!! I can't wait to try their other lunch menus. The Chef's In is always a 10!! read more

Love this buffet! Friendly staff. Amazing food. Homestyle feel. Southern comfort food selection. Highly recommend.

Good food with southern taste! Service is tip top and they are always bringing out fresh, hot food. I do suggest getting a sweet tea opposed to water, had a "water faucet" taste to it. FREE WIFI!!!!! :D I didnt have to talk to a manager. I didnt have to type in a password or buy a single thing. That is hard to find and Im glad they have it with such easy access. This place went from four stars to five!!! read more

The only thing better than the food here is their amazing staff! Best fried chicken I've EVER had and the chicken and dressing tastes just my grandpas recipe. The ranch is also so good and you can tell that there is a lot of time and love put into making the food. If I could eat here everyday, I would! read more

Passing through Jonesboro on our trip from Florida to South Dakota. It is well worth a stop! $14 per person for the full lunch buffet including your drink and dessert, no tax. Amazing home cooked type food - I grew up in the country on down home cooked fare and highly recommend this restaurant. Lots of meat choices, excellent roasted pork loin, green beans, white beans, corn, sauerkraut, sausage, mashed potatoes, white and brown gravy, turkey, corn bread stuffing, Salisbury steak, moist baked chicken, salad bar, delicious coconut cream pie, peanut butter pie, chocolate pie, cherry cobbler, strawberry shortcake, red velvet cake just so yummy!! Also includes drink, tea/Coke products. The service was excellent, kept our drinks full and plates cleared. Our waitress even gave us to go drinks since we had a long drive ahead and needed the caffeine after that huge meal! There's additional seating past the buffet to the right. Their menu changes so check their website for up to date info.! http://chefsinjonesboro.com We'll definitely be back the next time we are even remotely close to here! Don't pass up your chance for an awesome home cooked meal! Stellar! Oh, my husband says to eat a light breakfast and wear stretchy pants! LOL read more

If you want to drop ten bucks for literally the cheapest slop that can possibly be put on a buffet, this is your spot. 3 types of breaded meats. Some boiled and steamed veggies and some fried stuff. Don't be fooled by the crowd. This buffet would be worth the stop if it were priced closer to $3. read more

We were in Jonesboro visiting when we decided to try a buffet for lunch. Since we weren't familiar with the area. We just picked a restaurant. The best part of our trip was eating at Chef's in. I think it was one of the best buffets I have ever eaten at. The fried Chicken was the best I have ever eaten in 30 years. The vegetables were seasoned perfectly. The sweet tea just like your grandmother made. The blackberry cobbler made you mouth drool. This only being my first to Jonesboro, it won't be my last. Driving from Collierville TN to Jonesboro to eat at Chef's In is very much worth it. Nice road trip. Looking forward to visiting again very soon. Our waitress was also very attentive in keeping our glasses filled. She was a true waitress dressed very professional. She may have been a very mature lady. Her legs were as well shaped as Betty Gable. For those who know who she is. The only problem we did encounter was trying to drive home on such a full satisfied stomach. Sure which we had a awesome place like this business in our town. read more

Awesome, Awesome place to go. Friendly staff and awesome owners. They make u feel right at home. And food is always delicious. I recommend this place to everyone. read more

You simply can't do any better than this joint! Excellent southern home cooking. Great veggies. Great dishes and desserts. OMG, the meat is always so doggone tender and tasty! It's buffet style, so it's more like you pay admission than for your plate. And it's fast and fresh. Perfect place to go with work colleagues for lunch. They are closed on Fridays. read more

I went with my classmates and teacher for our last day of class. I had never been so I was excited to try it. The menu was pretty small but had a good variety of options. One nice thing I noticed was how low the prices were! I ordered a waffle which cane with bacon. I was a little disappointed because the bacon came out fairly burnt. The waffle however was very good. I'm not sure if it was the actual waffle or the syrup but one was very sweet and tasty. One very annoying thing about the actual restaurant was the the door had a hard time closing. If the handle didn't click it would fly open and let in cold air. Since we were sitting close to it someone was constantly getting up to close it. read more

Chef's In - Waffle and bacon - Southern Near Me - Jonesboro, Arkansas

I have never understood this place' popularity. Everything on their buffet is either reheated from frozen or from a can. And there's just nothing special about any of the food. Allergens are not at all disclosed and the staff doesn't know enough about the ingredients in the food so if you have any food sensitivities or allergies this isn't a safe place to eat. read more

It's a small buffet but had some really good solid choices. The smothered pork chops were really good. Unfortunately we didn't come on a day for fried chicken. The waitress told us that was Sunday and Monday only. Your drink comes with the buffet and the dessert bar was small but quite good choices. The banana pudding was delicious as was the strawberry cake. I have family in Jonesboro and will be back here for sure on a day with fried chicken on my next visit. read more

Got $10 and you wanna eat all you can eat? This would be your place. Great college place to eat! Give the lady your money, grab a plate, pile it up, eat, rinse repeat, as many time as you want, go home and think about what you just did, (maybe take a nap) Good value. I eat here at least once a month support local and to remind myself why I work out... read more

Nothing fancy, but great food. At $12.00 for all you can eat and drink, good value for the money.

This was my first time to visit Chef's Inn, and now I will be a steady customer. At $10 including drink, it is a bargain. Food is amazing, and tastes home made, not like "restaurant food". Bar is small, but well stocked with great food. Even though it was extremely busy, the service was outstanding. In the area where I sat, there were about 30 people and only one waitress, but she did wonderful. My glass never got more than half empty, and, from what I saw, it was the same at every table. Parking is somewhat limited, but it is well worth this small inconvenience. read more

My first visit. Greeted warmly on arrival. Breakfast menu has nice selection. Vegetable omelette was nice to look at and served hot and delicious. Biscuits also tasty. Coffee cup frequently refilled. Decent price. Fast service. read more

Fantastic local restaurant. Thursday is banana pillow day...it's like heaven in a 6 inch pastry.

Came here for breakfast on Father's Day. Overall experience was just ok. Service was adequate, not great, not bad. Food was hit-and-miss. Waffles and pancakes were quite good, as well as the biscuits and gravy. On the other hand, the french toast was practically cold, and too flat. The fried eggs were overdone, even when asked for over-easy. The hash browns were decent, although I've had better, but then I do prefer mine more crispy. Will I be coming back? I'm inclined to think there are better options for a good home-cooked style Southern breakfast in Jonesboro. read more

The food is awsome and always hot, the people is very friendly and always upkeep your drinks full, the price is very reasonable.

Delicious home cooked food. Buffet is always stocked. Their fried pork steak on Thursday is delicious. Sunday has great dressing. They are closed Friday and Saturday. They also close at 2:00pm. Won't find a better buffet. read more

Local favorite!! If you love country cooking and buffets then this is your place. The lunch buffet is great. Lots of veggies and meats on the buffet. Pleanty of deserts to choose from as well. At $10 a person with drink included, that's a great price now days. Hard to find location at first but once you know of where your going then you keep coming back for more. read more

Really was not impressed however that's probably because of the selection of food and the layout. It was very awkward trying to weave around the food line with such crowded space. The food was alright. Nothing stands out as signature for them. I do however really appreciate the service. The waiters were very nice and quick. I honestly don't see me visiting again but that's only because it's a hard spot to get to downtown for something that's not absolutely great. I would recommend their sweet tea and fried okra also they have some really good corn bread. read more

How could anyone give this place less than 5 stars, I saw other talk about canned and frozen food here. This is the only scratch resturant anywhere in the area. Food is consistently great and the service is alway spot on. $10 includes drink and sales tax. We go there at lease once a week and will continue. I will be sure and NOT follow anyone that doesn't give this place a 5 star rating, because they simply don't know what good food is. read more
