Good, solid, southern buffet heavy on fried fish, shrimp, chicken, okra, hushpuppies etc. Seriously the best catfish we've had in years. Real cats (not swai), real flavor like we grew up with (but mud-free!), not the homogenized flavorless farm-raised stuff that comes out of a foodservice company. Served cut into steaks, regular fillets and Cajun-seasoned fillets. The greens and blackeye peas were also among the most perfect we've ever had. This is without a doubt the best Catfish that I have eaten. Very fresh and not greasy. The buffet is always well stocked with salads, veggies, and sides. The dessert bar offers a very good selection of pies and cake. But you should go for the Catfish! read more

Visited Ron's Catfish in Jonesboro, Arkansas earlier today. The food was hot and delicious. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Ron's has all type of food like frog legs, shrimp, catfish, steak, crawfish and sides include Cole slaw, French fries greens, peas, creamed potato's mashed potatoes, and Mac and cheese. The desserts were plentiful to please your sweet tooth. It is all you can eat so don't be afraid to get a seconds or thirds or fourths. I was taken there to celebrate my birthday. Their catfish was excellent and what sides I could fill on my plate were great also. Wish I could have tried more of them. The servers were attentive and so nice, could not ask for better. Everything was clean and very nice. I plan on going back many time. Dont waste your time if the crawfish is what your going for. They use frozen crawfish so the tail meat falls apart and it's hard to eat. The prices are way to expensive, its not worth it. I'm glad you can seat yourself and that its a buffet but at this point there is no point. Service is not great. Some customers are really friendly and that's about the only good thing about it. If you ever decide to eat crawfish, I recommend eds catfish. You can pull that tail out in one price. Don't waste you breath, time or money comin to Rons catfish. It ain't worth it. Be very careful when ordering takeout from Ron's. My wife picked up our $50+ order today and specifically asked the woman at checkout if the potato salad was in the bag as we requested it rather than French fries. She said it was in the bag. Well when she got home, there was no potato salad or French fries or the onion/pickles condiments. When she called to ask about the missing items, the only thing they could offer was for to drive back across town to pick the items up. They did say that if we ordered again, they would give us the items free. Not good customer service in my opinion. The fish was good but overpriced when they leave off a third of your order. I posted the above yesterday but now have to apologize to Ron's as this morning we found the missing potato salad between the car seat and vehicle door. Appears sack may have turned over and the container rolled out. Still didn't receive other condiments, but the mystery of the missing potato salad has been solved. read more

This is an all buffet restaurant. The food is just ok. The atmosphere is very casual and a little confusing to figure out. We visited for the first time while passing through and the service wasn't great to explain the process. I guess most people who eat here are locals. read more

Usually have a great experience with them, but today, the chicken was reheated and dry, it was edible, but not as good as usual, also, the drink is normally included. Since I did not get a drink during the meal, I asked if I could get a to go cup of tea. She went to talk to the manager, and they chatted for 5 straight minutes, trying to figure out if they could do that or not. I just left. It is an expensive place to eat. I don't eat seafood, and I got one pc of chicken (most of it left) some slaw, some cold french fries and some mac and cheese and it was 22.50. And they can't accommodate me, to let me have a to go cup of unsweet tea. Yikes. I drive an hour to get there and an hour back. I prob need to rethink that from now on. I still recommend them, but...customer service everywhere is not as good as it could be. read more

The food is great. The service is great. The service is fast. However, the restrooms are absolutely filthy. As busy as this place is, you'd figure they'd clean the bathrooms or at least check them throughout the day. The men's room was disgusting. The sink has one broken handle. The food is always good, especially the catfish. My problem is I never pace myself right to eat as much catfish as I want, because I eat other things. I keep telling myself that I'm just going to eat catfish next time and don't...lol The service is great. The waitresses are friendly. The ambiance is casual and pleasant. The only complaint I have is the parking lot is gravel and not marked off, leaving people to use their imagination when it comes to parking. All in all, it's my favorite place to go for catfish. Ron's hit the target for a fast Thursday lunch. Place was busy which is good. The Buffett was well attended and the food was mostly hot and fresh. Had vegetables and some other things like pot roast. I was here for catfish and on that point they succeeded. Catfish steaks, Cajun catfish, broiled, and of course fillets. The small local fillets was the best to me. Had all the appropriate sides also. I was not impressed with the food for the price. Everything was ok, but just ok. I thought the air conditioner must be broken because it was about 85 or 90 degrees, but I heard someone else say it's always hot in there. By the time I was finished eating, I had almost melted into a puddle. I only sweated it out because I had to get my $22 worth. Just not as good as it was. Food is ok, but the buffet had no shrimp and no sugar free deserts. These are things I wanted on the buffet.

Went at 3 pm on a Saturday and they were closed. The guy at the front rolled his eyes when he opened the door for me. So I asked if they were closing and he said yes. So I just said "it's fine I'll just leave" first time going never going back again. My brother and I went last weekend. We were impressed by the variety of foods on the buffet. The staff was friendly. It was clean. And the food was pretty good. A catfish buffet, really? Yes, really! I recently brought a number of "foodies" here from very posh metro Chicago; to my surprise they gave Ron's a 100% approval rating! We left an embarrassing stack of empty plates on the table and stumbled into the parking lot fat, shiny and smelling of fish fry. Their motto, "62 feet of all you can eat!". That's a lot of catfish. On the other 31 feet of the bar I found frog legs, shrimp (fried and non), fried chicken, salad (iceberg lettuce of course), "Home Style Vegetables" and a dessert bar. The best part of Ron's is definitely watching the other diners. There are some serious eaters in here, professional grade. Watch and learn kids. Nice place for large groups and families to talk loudly and significantly reduce the world's catfish population. All kidding aside, this was a good meal in a very casual setting. Service was friendly and surroundings were clean. This place also has a giant parking lot, you could land a blimp here if needed.
