If you want fresh,well cooked food, go somewhere else. The variety of food is good, so sorry that the food wasn't. I have truthfully had better Japanese food in a frozen meal. Decided to take a chance and try this place. We went at 4:15pm on a Sunday, which we knew could be a risk of the food being fresh. I will say, I'm rather impressed with this place. The service was quick and friendly, not a bit of rudeness to be found. Ambiance was quiet and welcoming. The food was good. Lots of options and the sushi wasn't bad either. Some things were old, for sure sitting there for a while but even with that, everything I tired tasted good. I would go here again, but probably closer to a peak time of day to get fresher food. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE ! we got there 20 minutes after they opened and food was cold as if was from night before and plate heaters not working. we took a few bites and decided not to eat the food and told the waiter. We were only offered a small discount which is not the reason for the complaint as we understand food isn't free. The owner made the biggest scene when providing the feedback on the cold food acting like we were just trying to get free food (that we didn't eat). She was screaming to the point she was out of breath, told us we were lying and also to go to buffet and put our finger in the food. we have been eating here since 2017 and will never go back. Tokyo house has a misleading name and has nothing to do with Tokyo or Japan and is Chinese food wearing a dollar store mask, everything was wet tables,g floor and food, everything that was supposed to be dry seemed like it was submerged in water or "juice" or "sauce" like the rice noodle, way to wet, couldn't use my chopsticks I brought from home slid right out, the dumplings were hard and sharp and cut my gums, no access to dumpling suace or white steamed rice and had to ask the kitchen for both, the staff was very nice and accommodated me and my demands, the sushi was alright some of it not so fresh but my overall experience was kind of meh the atmosphere in the restaurant was inviting and people seemed to be enjoying themselves but maybe I'm to picky or maybe their tastebuds and other senses have grown dull it is unlikely I will go here again anytime soon but when I do I will see if anything has changed and keep you the reader and fellow foodie updated Thanks TheFoodGuy read more

When looking at the previous reviews it looks amazing and like they offer great sushi options. However this was not the case. The food was barely warm, so sashimi (that was advertised) and not to mention the roaches we seen at the buffet. This restaurant advertises false promises and I will not be coming back. read more

Just a warning that this is a graphic picture. I am never ever one to do this. We have previously loved tokyo house. But on our last visit, this was in the restroom. It smelled like cat urine as soon as soon as I walked in, I look behind the toilet in the stall I was in and this is what I see. That is feces, looks like animal feces, several days old and covered in MAGGOTS in the women's bathroom. read more

I've eaten here 6 times. It has been the same each time. It is very clean, much more so than the other 2 Chinese buffet places. I don't eat much sushi but I hear from those with me that it is not bad. The food is well presented. However, just like the other Chinese buffet places in town, most of the food tastes the same. It is extremely bland and tastes like everything else on the buffet. I know sesame chicken does not taste like Mongolian beef, but mostly.......and sadly, if you try one chicken dish you know what the others taste like. This is a very good oriental restaurant with an all you can eat buffet. Really like the way the food is presented in platters instead of metal pans. But, it is like any other buffet in that if it is not busy so that the food is being replaced often, it is not as good. With that said, when there at the right time, I would rate it as the best oriental buffet in town. read more

I could never eat here again!! I ordered through Jonesboro2Go, and got the magnolia chicken & chicken lo mein... I did not get my magnolia chicken, did not get a refund for it or they did not offer to give it to me.. Then the lo mein I ordered was basically a bowl full of onions.. i removed all the chicken the lo mein and and a few onions, but there's still a full bowl full of onions. I did not receive any eating utensils, no napkins, no extra sauces or anything! The buffet might be different but NEVERRR order to go! EVER, horrible waste of $30 for two people!!!! read more

I tried Tokyo House for the first time tonight, and was pretty impressed. A nice selection of buffet items, all of which seemed very fresh and were quite tasty. (Notably I thought the Mongolian beef was better than the same dish at other local restaurants.) The staff were very friendly and capable. I'm looking forward to eating here again. read more

This place has some of the best buffet style Japanese cuisine in town. I wouldn't say it is the cheapest of Asian style buffets, but you definitely get what you pay for. For a little extra money over the other buffets like them, you get excellent quality food! They pay close attention to items that may sell out faster or slower and base their batch size on that. Basically they will make smaller portions for less consumed foods, and larger ones for the more popular items. This means fresh buffet food regularly! When ordering takeout, the portions are massive! Beef and broccoli has always been my favorite and not only is the beef and broccoli here amazing, but they also ensure that in a take out box, you easily get two or three servings of food. Never have I gotten close to finishing a portion in a single day! But re heated the next day is still just as good! No I'm not kidding, I have a huge pet peeve about reheating food and this is one of the only places I won't think twice about doing it.
