Okay, hear me out, 1,000 STARS IF POSSIBLE!!! What?! This place was AMAZING! The breakfast burrito thing we both got pictured below... PHENOMENAL! And the PRICES?! SO CHEAP FOR WHAT YOU GOT!! Maybe I am just a little excited for how cheap and how good the food is, but how could you not be? 2 juices and 2 breakfast burritos for the 2 of us equaling a total of $25 pre tip. I know things are cheaper in the south (we are true city people from the northeast), but this was great on our road trip driving through the south on our quest to see all 50 states (and on our way to the National Championship game!) Breakfast burrito was on a flour tortilla, with egg, cheese, bacon AND sausage (NYC could never for those prices), and hasbrowns on the side. I wish we could have had more food there! Local dive specializing in diner style food. Service was "small town friendly". Place was about 80% capacity on a Saturday morning. Daughter got the chocolate chip waffle, wife and I tried "skillets" (she had the Corned Beef, and would have liked a little more of the meat). Mine was the Hobo Skillet. A hefty serving of hash browns with cheese, with two eggs cooked to taste (mine were scrambled), and a "side": toast, biscuit, grits or (get this) two pancakes! I had the biscuit...soft...not as dense as I prefer, eggs were folded (a little chewy), which brings us to the hash browns...these brought back memories! Crispy outside, tender inside and, oh, so greasy! I would suggest maybe adding a little seasoning to the potatoes. I try not to use too much table salt, but had to dose the food twice. I had a very disappointing experience. After I paid $30 cash to a waiter with a $10 tip for $20 food I was walking to leave when I was stopped at the door by 2 staff members and asked if I paid. I was shocked and upset that I was questioned. I said it was not right that they were questioning me after I paid them already at the table. One of them said sorry the other just looked expressionless without any remorse or word of sorry. In my 60 years of life no body had questioned me or implied that I would actually try to leave without paying. I am a Professor and a doctor by profession and I couldn't help but think this was something to do with my minority race (Indian) but I brushed it off since I never have felt discriminated like that before ( perhaps I was lucky so far or may be this was nothing to do with discrimination). But for a stupid $20 dollar. I felt foolish because I never keep the receipt with me and never ask for it. I learned it now and advise the customers to make sure you ask for receipts so you can throw it in their faces at the door if they dare become discourteous to you. They didn't pursue me seeing my face that they've upset me so much. Disgusted I walked out the door never to enter this place ever again. read more

The food was cold I had two eggs fried hard , gritz and a side of biscuits the biscuit would not even melt my butter! The hash browns tasted like they had been cooked on a dirty grill an hour so before . Now the eggs were perfectly cooked all done the way I like them. I warmed them up with the grits. Bacon was a bit over cooked . The waitress that took my order , we did not see her again until she brought the bill. The other two waitresses were kinda enough to offer to fill my coffee that was weak . Over all it was not worth the 32.00 dollars we paid . It was about 12.00 bucks to much. read more

A great place to eat depending on when you go. The best time is noon to 2:00 during the week. The food and service are usually excellent. AVOID A WEEKEND MORNING! The place gets filled to capacity and there aren't nearly enough servers to handle the crowd. They try, bless heir hearts, but the place should really hire more help. If you go on a Saturday morning to noon, I hope you don't have anywhere else you need to be. The omelets are very tasty. You. Will. Get. Full! The patty melt is my favorite! And I love their chicken and dumplings. The pancakes, though, can be alright to okay, depending on what kind of pancake day it is that day. They have a pretty good burger, too. They are becoming a busy place and need a hostess for their busy times or a better system for the people waiting. As was said in another review we had to wait about ten minutes just to put our names on a list of people to seat. Then we waited another 20 minutes to sit. It's not the wait it's the disorganized feeling during the wait. I kept feeling like I wasn't going to get seated. We have now been here an hour and I only have coffee, butter, jelly ketchup, and syrup in front of me. We thought we were coming in with enough time to eat before we had to pick up our child from a play date but we are probably going to have to get our food to go. We did not get to actually eat the food because it came too late. The girl asked was everything all right and I couldn't answer about the food because we had to leave to pick up our kids before we ate and it was in to go boxes. We went in with nearly two hours to spare before we had to get the kids and left out of there running late to get them. Their system is broken and if they don't figure out a better way they are going to lose business because several people walked out without trying to wait. Overall I may be a little generous with the stars because having taken one bite of my skillet it is a little tasteless. Basically it's a hodgepodge of various ingredients mixed together. Kinda like an omelet, but kinda like scramble eggs. I love it. Besides the food being good the price is very reasonable. Especially for the amount of food you get. They're gonna load your plate down when you come to Eggsellent Cafe. So be ready to eat. Their bacon is always crisp; their eggs are cooked to order; their toast is perfect... This is my favorite breakfast joint. I'm only docking a star because of the ambiance here. The breakfast we had was good. The portions were absolutely huge! If I'd have known there would be 4 large pieces of bacon with my egg and half a plate of hash browns I would've shared with my daughter instead of ordering two plates. The prices were very reasonable for the size of portion you get. My only complaint is that it's very noisy. Me and a group of 5 other guys were looking for breakfast other than cracker barrel. The food here was great! Very nice portions and reasonbly priced. It is your classic hole in the wall local cafe. The Jonsboro police is right across the street and the whole detective devision came for breakfast. All the locals seem to eat here as it was packed. That should tell you something. However, the decor is old and dated and the place is run down. One of the cooks looked like he roled off his cot and walked into the kitchen. They spilled an entire cup of water on the floor in the dining area and the waiter thru some paper towels on it and left it that way the entire meal. Real slobby like. This is the second time we've been here. the first was pretty good, but this time was not. In the window sill, it was nasty. I couldn't look too closely, but it could have been mouse droppings? Something nasty. the bench seats are ripped and the whole place is slick from grease and needs a major renovation. When opened the box there was iceberg lettuce, a few pieces of diced tomato, some pieces of chicken and a clump of finely shredded cheddar cheese. I was concerned when I noticed the cheese was completely melted. The lettuce was hot as was the tomato. The chicken was room temp and dry. The dressing was also room temp.
