This is one of the nicer restaurants in PGould. It has a nice menu with several appetizers, antipasto selections, salads and mains. The pork chop sounded great (maybe next time) but we decided to just have a soup and Brown Derby salad which were both good sized and fresh. You can eat at the bar if you don't have a reservation friendly service and good drink menu. I would definitely return when in town read more

I went in for the first time ever, looked at me like i was a leper, i was waiving money and begging for service, wanted to sample some drinks ct ect. first and last visit, bad vibes. looked like a nice friendly place i didn't feel it. went across street to skinny js and totally better, i needed cheering up and they did it. read more

This place used to be really nice. The food was good and the service was attentive but not overwhelming. Tonight we waited 1-1/2 hours for our food. When it finally arrived, my meal was cold and my husband's was cold except for his shrimp which was very hot and rubbery. There aren't many nice places to eat in Paragould but we will definitely go ahead and make the hour round trip to Jonesboro when we want a nice meal. We would have ordered dessert but were just tired of being here. Besides, our reservation was at 7:00 and now it's 8:30 and they close in 30 minutes. read more

This is truly a hidden gem in the food world. While traveling through Arkansas and wanting not to follow the Highway of senseless grub, we went somewhat backroad and stopped in Paragould for the night. We were greeted and seated promptly on what was prom night. The cocktails were delicious, and the food was far above what I would have expected--a worthwhile stop. I enjoyed the Panko Chicken, and my wife had the Shrimp and Grits, both very flavorful and cooked expertly. read more

When this place opened I considered it well above average for the area. I could tell that some Items had been watered down for the locals but that's normal here. In the past 12 -18 months it has sunk to being pathetic. They cater to the "Paragould elites" that love to brag about being able to go here but clearly have zero experience with a nice restaurant. I recommend you walk across the street at this point. The food there is terrible as well but you don't have to pay a premium for it to pretend like you're important. The only place this could survive is a town with no real taste when it comes to food . It's a shame because there was something worth while at the beginning. Lastly, if I can't recognize the orginal dish that you are adding a new "twist" to, just leave the orginal name out of it. If you can't nail the orginal you can't improve upon it. read more

My wife and I enjoyed Chow at One Eighteen very much. Interesting menu and wide drink selection. Their appetizers could go on a small plate menu by themselves. Tamales are a favorite, my wife is still giving me looks because I did not save her the last one. Asian Bamboo Steamer is a hoot. We are looking forward to the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna. The Sea Bass was delicious and the Key Lime Pie is a must. The only points off and it is a minor point was the scallops. I am used to a little more size when I have had Diver Scallops in the past. Not inexpensive but you get what you pay for. Exceptional and attentive staff. We will be back! read more

I hit this place up most times I'm in town. Really nice atmosphere. The bartender is awesome. Very nice. The service is always good. The food is really good most of the time. Last time I went they were out of the ravioli but said they could make me a cheese ravioli instead. It was delicious. Was surprised when the bill came though it was $38. I've never seen a pasta dish that much. Happy to support small business during these times but that was a little much. I would recommend this place to anyone coming to Paragould. First time here, went for anniversary dinner on a Saturday night. PROBLEMS - Super expensive for the area and I wasn't wowed as I expect to be for this price. HOWEVER - I don't feel like I can reduce my star rating because I knew how expensive it was likely to be going in, it was definitely the best meal I'm likely to find for 100 miles in any direction, the service and customer relation was flawless, and it may be that my cooking at home has gotten to a level where it's hard for me to be wowed in a restaurant (so that one is on me). The food was good, just not for the price. I understand it's a "fancy" restaurant but the environment isn't. It's very plain looking and they put up dollar store lights to make it look fancy. Also I was still very clearly eating, with half of the stuff on my plate and a woman took it away, she could clearly see me eating and took it away. Were they running out of plates? The food they sale is something anyone could make for $15 from a grocery store. The waiters come over and refill water every two minutes and honestly need to calm down. It wasn't awful but the customer service wasn't great. I must say, the crème brûlée was the best I ever had but it was very small. The overall environment is like a classroom dressed up. read more

I am from New York City which has a lot of fabulous restaurants but Chow at 118 in Paragould can contend with NYC's best. Everything here is amazing, especially the sea bass which is prepared to perfection. It is obvious that the owners here take great pride in their restaurant from the food to the decor.
