Salmon Cakes with eggs and just picked asparagus.

Always great to brunch at Westfield's Parkview. A three season eatery which serves only fresh ingredients. We sat outside so our dog could join us, but the inside is so cute. Even though we were outside, the service did not suffer. We always recommend The Parkview to the tourists.

Great small town diner. Busy place with the locals. Everything was great. Had gluten free bread available which was appreciated

Mocha cake

Just wow! We came here for lunch and had a great experience. Food is truly fantastic... flavorful, quality ingredients, and affordable too. I ordered the black bean burger on brioche, with a side of roasted veggies, and both were great. The veggies had so much flavor and did not disappoint! The burger was soft but had good flavor and textures as well. For dessert, I enjoyed the mocha cake. Service was fantastic too. I highly recommend stopping here for lunch if you're in the area.

This little lunch spot is not to be missed if you are in the area, and it would be a nice reason for a drive if you're not! Open only for lunch during the week, The Parkview opens a little earlier to offer breakfast on the weekends as well. The atmosphere is classy, yet casual. We went for lunch and everything that we had was fabulous. In particular, I wanted to try the pot pie. That was a popular order that day as I saw many of them go out to tables while enjoying mine. The epitome of comfort food for me, this was possibly the best pot pie I have ever the pleasure of consuming. The consistency of the filling was thick and creamy and the pie crust topping it all off was light, flakey, and buttery. Just perfection. The pot pies also came with a side which were hearty portions for sides. My boyfriend chose a special that day of a three cheese mac-n-cheese. I opted for the Apple Walnut Coleslaw. Again, wow! We also shared a bowl of their Smoked Gouda Tomato Bisque. There were plenty of other items on the menu that sounded good that I'd like to try. But it will be hard for me not to order the exact same thing again next time I dine here.

Eggs Florentine with potatoes

Walked in on a Friday night just to take a look at their breakfast menu for the next morning. The owner greeted us, was SUPER personable, and asked us to make a reservation if we were interested in coming by. Menu looked good- so we did make a reservation and so glad we did! I ordered eggs Florentine with a side of potatoes and my husband got their chicken and waffles with potatoes. Everything was Beautifully prepared- service was amazing- owner came by to each table and greeted everyone- portions are huge- omg we were stuffed! They've graciously gave me a complimentary taste of their grits- I'd never tasted grits before- and I was pleasantly surprised. Definitely be sure to MAKE A RESERVATION- people were turned away for Saturday morning breakfast because it was so busy. Definitely go here!

Quirky Spot With Charm, But Food Just Okay - Spent the day at the beach on Lake Erie in Barcelona,…read moreNY, and was starving afterward. A local friend recommended Jack's Barcelona, and I decided to give it a try. Let's just say it was exactly what I needed on that particular day, at that particular moment. I sat at the bar and marveled at the décor -- so much to look at! Normally this style isn't really my vibe, but that day it hit the spot. The place is quirky in all the right ways; I especially loved the pillows for sale with what felt like serendipitous life-guiding slogans. I ordered the chili and a baked potato -- comfort food at its simplest. Not particularly exciting, and honestly, nothing special about the flavors. The wait was long, but I realized it was likely because two tables of four were served first, and I was at the bar. That gave me plenty of time to explore the fun details around me. Overall, it's a lovely experience with plenty of character, but the food itself didn't fully captivate me. Three stars for the quirky charm and atmosphere, but I wouldn't call it a must-visit for the cuisine alone.

It's a true one-person operation--the owner is the hostess, cook, and waitress--and she does it all exceptionally well. The food is excellent, cooked to order, and very reasonably priced. Add in the eclectic, crafty surroundings, and it makes for a warm, memorable stop that's well worth seeking out.

They do take reservations if you need and from what we experienced you might want to do that depending on the day and time of the week. We called ahead before we got here and asked if coming around 50 minutes before closing time would be okay. We got seated, but did wait a bit to have our order taken because they were pretty backed up from a busy dinner service. They apologized for the wait and took our food and drink order. Water is cold so that's a good sign. Dim lit restaurant, wasn't a fan of the chairs, they are weirdly straight up. I also don't like the table covers. Quite annoying on my knees. Now on to the food. We got bread which was pretty good, nothing special but still good. The main course was amazing. My only problem with it was that I asked for jalapeños on the side but they were on the burger. Not a huge deal they were easy to take off. Burger was very good fries were solid. Everyone else said their food was great. Mother said it was the best buff chicken sandwich she ever had. My brother got a hamstring cramp because he was dehydrated from the blue collar work he did all day. This place was great. Our waitress was super nice and friendly , great person. I highly recommend going to this place.

A flavorful explosion in the mouth and the four 'shrooms quickly disappeared. We both had the soup instead of salad (Asiago Broccoli?). A small cup was delicious and just the right size. My bourbon maple bacon jam, gorgonzola cream, Flat Iron Steak was awesome (you read the description right). Just a hint of maple and bacon with blue cheese goodness over a perfectly cooked medium-rare steak. My wife had the Pan Seared Sea Scallops, making constant "yummy noises" while consuming. She loved her Ginger Martini cocktail. My only, very minor, quibble was my house special Cosmopolitan cocktail. It was not as cold as I would have preferred, was a bit cloudy and had a bit of lime pulp in it. Not bad but not as perfect as the rest of our food and drink. Brazil's is not inexpensive but we highly recommend it! I'd vote for a Michelin Star, if that were possible :)

The steak on the BLT salads was just ok; not very flavorful. Thought the quality could've been better. The buffalo salad lacked a reasonable amount of chicken and (again) the salad was just ok. Also the spice was extreme and we were glad to have ordered it on the side. The kid at the table enjoyed his burger.

Had an impromptu trip to Erie sunday and my husband and I are so glad we checked out Chippers…read more The food was absolutely delicious and the service was kind and quick. We can't wait to come back for a bag boil!

Until yesterday, we had a joke about Erie, PA, not actually existing. (I-90 runs several miles to…read morethe south of it for reasons some interstate planning committee could probably explain, and thus all you see from the freeway is a smattering of chain hotels on the outskirts of town). But on a trip back from Cleveland to Buffalo, we were hungry and looking for well-recommended places in Erie and the absolute hidden gem that is Chippers is what Yelp found for us. (Thanks, Yelp!) Chippers is an excellent assemblage of deliciously crispy fried things featuring seafood and chicken but also a surprisingly robust vegetarian slate. I ordered inside, was given a 20-minute estimate, wandered Erie for a bit, picked up the very-reasonably priced order, and we drove down to the waterfront to eat. I would and probably will stop back in Erie just for this experience. It's the bomb, as the kids used to say 25 years ago. Notes: 1) the collards and batter for fried items (the fried tomatoes are killer, btw) were approved by my partner, a confirmed Southerner--they do good things with seasoning to make food that often seems phoned-in at other places truly delicious; 2) the employees told a homeless guy that he couldn't come in at just that moment and then went out of their way to explain that they had nothing against homeless people or him specifically, but that he had caused problems and so they placed some boundaries on him. (They gave him the cup that he was asking for shortly thereafter.) I found it refreshing and wonderful that they were concerned that a customer might expect them to act with decency and compassion towards the less-fortunate rather than thinking a customer would simply want them to make that situation go away. It's a small sample size, but I think Chippers may hire good people.
