There is a public dock available just a couple hundred yards away from Tulip's. When we got there at about 11:30 on a Sunday the wait for a table was about 25 to 30 minutes. Plenty of room on the lawn out front to wait and even some outdoor games to play. We were called and seated at about 25 minutes; we had requested a table on the patio so my niece's dog could come along. Tulip's is located in a large Victorian house with a wrap around patio all overlooking the lake, the perfect place to relax and enjoy a summer brunch. Our server was great, friendly and helpful; orders are taken on a tablet and sent wirelessly to the kitchen. The menu has one side of breakfast items and the second side of lunch items. The food is slightly upscale without being overly fussy. There are some vegetarian items and others that can be made vegetarian by just leaving off the meat items. I ended up ordering the classic french toast, others at the table ordered sandwiches, corned beef hash, and omelets. Despite the restaurant being busy the food came out in about 10-15 minutes, all of the food being delivered by several servers; our server did check in to make sure that everything was delivered and that we were enjoying out food. Everyone enjoyed their food, portions were good, the food was well presented. My french toast was very good, carmalized on the outside custardy on the inside, slightly sweet and savory. It was presented with whipped butter and syrup. A nicely done classic and a great brunch. I would highly recommend Tulip's, a great place for breakfast and lunch. It seems like Chautauqua and Mayville have already figured it out and they are busy and doing well.

My wife and her friend had been the day before and wanted to take me back. My wife had the French toast, which she had had the day before, her friend had eggs, toast, and bacon, and I had the brunch madame. Let me warn you, if you order this, you will be a bit surprised when it arrives at your table. It is massive. But beyond being massive, it was perfectly toasty and cheesy on top with layers of ham and Bechemel inside, and it sat in a pool of glistening hollandaise sauce. Our server, Misty, laughed when I told her that it should come with a disclaimer, but it was honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten for breakfast. It came with a side of breakfast potatoes and a perfectly soft poached egg nestled on top. To top it all off, the coffee was divine. Misty told us it was from Erie Street coffee and they sell it at the restaurant. Note that if you're going to go here, they close at 2:30. But it's definitely worth the trip and we will definitely be back.

We were at an event in the area so we chose to try Music For Your Mouth, it was a huge mistake. We were 1 of the 3 first tables there sat outside. We sat forever waiting for service. One of the other tables got up and left saying loudly that they were sick of waiting. Other people started to show up then they got greated and served before us and the other original table! The first table finally said out loud in front of everyone "Are we ever going to get waited on?!?" The waitress/manager lady said "yeah, we'll get to you" How Rude! They had been waiting longer than anyone! They finally got a menu then 10 minutes later we were acknowledged! We were the 2nd table! Other people had menus and drinks before the first table and us the 2nd. People were getting refills and food before the 1st table got anything. The lady got upset and got up yelled at the server and left. We don't blame her! When we FINALLY got served we'd been there forever and people that had come 30 minuts after us were already done, paying, and leaving. Food was so underwhelming and plain we couldn't believe it. We don't recommend at all! We never got an apology or explanation for the wait. No one cared.

Apparently we upset the waitress by not having everyone at the table when she came by. our friend had run to the restroom while we waited for service. we assumed the waitress was slammed because it was crowded and our friend gave us their order in case she came by while they were gone. She refused to take our order until. the person returned even though we told her we could order. She was clearly irritated and told us we would, "just have to wait" Ok, we waited, our friend returned she walked by multiple times spoke loudly to a table behind us about how busy she was and appreciated that they were all ready and at the table. The customers were clearly familiar to her as they responded by loudly commenting on how rude it was ... this continued with other tables to the degree that she went to the counter acros form our table and simply stared directly at me shaking her head and commenting to other customers about "rude people" When she finally came to take our order (about 20 minutes into our wait) she repeatedly made surprisingly snarky remarks. Actually ti felt like a weird SNL skit. I keep thinking someone was going to jump out and tell us we were bing "Punked". Nope. Then we got the food. It was just bad, tasteless, overcooked, just not good. There were some cooked carrots shaped into small balls on the plate. I didn't eat them. She actually stated to me, "you didn't eat your carrots!!" It was seriously bizarre. I see large crowds there. Maybe it's because of their baked goods. we didn't stay to try dessert.
