The food was good, it was after breakfast hours which stopped at 11 so there aren't a lot of options. The highlight was the banana smoothie w a candy straw. Brings out the kid in everyone. The server was polite. Not overly friendly but smiled and did her job. It is a cute place. Not what we were expecting. You order at the counter, and then they bring it out.

The Pantry was pretty tasty for deli style food. It's strangely located in the middle of the resort so don't get confused when the GPS just randomly ends. The smoked salmon BLT was okay. There was a good amount of salmon, but it was just bits and pieces so there weren't an abundant amount. The bacon pieces were thick and crunchy so that helped. The tomato and lettuce finished off this BLT -- duh. Hehe. Overall just an average sandwich. I don't think I'd get it again is my summary. The hub's rueben sandwich was pretty flavorful. There was a good amount of corned beef and sauerkraut. The cheese was gooey and mixed well with the dressing. It was overall pretty delectable; I'd try it again. I think my sandwich wasn't toasted enough while the rueben was over toasted are my minor conclusions. The caramel apple crumb was delicious! It looked super sweet but was pretty mellow in its sweetness. The pastry itself was really delightful with its soft and crumbly texture. The size wasn't too bad either.

I was eating alone for lunch because the hubby was working and wandered over to The Pantry. It is at Thd Jekyll Island Club Resort. Selected the Reuben and a cup of fruit with an unsweet tea. Fruit was delicious, sometimes these are the unripened bits but not in this case. The sandwich was great - lots of meat. The tea was crisp and clear, very refreshing. I sat on the covered patio ate lunch and read my book. Such a relaxing lunch break.

We visited this place 4 times over 3 days!! Breakfast was divine--we both enjoyed the breakfast croissant with egg, cheese, sausage and tomato along with the breakfast burrito. My boyfriend devoured the red velvet muffin and I had the key lime tart twice since it was so good. This place is also located on the most beautiful property (Jekyll Island Club Resort) so we loved walking the grounds after. Love that they stay open until 9pm-- we stopped in after dinner at The Wharf to get dessert! This place is a must on Jekyll Island

This place is located in the beautiful Jekyll Island resort. The ambiance is fantastic. However, the coffee is extremely weak and the peanut butter cookie I had tasted of burn. I really think if the cookie had not been slightly scorched it would have been phenomenal.

It was average at best and didn't stand out in any meaningful way. The biggest issue, however, was the service. Our dinner stretched to nearly three hours, and we frequently had to ask for basic things like water. It felt disorganized and, at times, frustrating. I understand that restaurants can get busy and that staffing challenges happen, but based on our experience, the service fell well below expectations. While the location is worth seeing, I would not return for the food or service based on this visit.

I highly recommend their buffalo crab dip, a concoction that is a buffalo cheese dip served with fresh lump crab. You can really taste the crab in this dish. They don't skimp on it at all. The most clever thing that they did here, though, is to serve it with wonton chips. It's something that's truly unique, as most restaurants would serve a dish like this with regular chips. The wonton chips are a treat unto themselves, having great wonton flavor. However, when you combine it with the dip, it really takes it over the top. Highly recommend. For my entree, I had their Cajun Alfredo pasta. It is linguine served in a "Cajun-spiced Alfredo sauce". It is "served with tasso and smoked sausage", and you can choose to have it with either chicken or wild GA shrimp. In either case, once again, they do not skimp . You get a heaping portion of either chicken or shrimp, and the sauce is very tasty. It is just as described, an Alfredo sauce with a little Cajun flavor, though it is not spicy. It is served with no sides, but no sides are necessary as it is a hearty portion all by itself. Very delicious. The most impressive thing that I saw is that the owner is very hands-on. They have these new-fangled mobile electronic lamps, and the owner came by and noticed that ours wasn't quite working. He replaced it immediately himself. He was very friendly and chatted us up. He also went around and was serving and clearing tables himself. It seems that if you eat here, there's a strong possibility that you could end up meeting the owner! Meeting him was a very nice touch. The only thing that I had a hard time with here was choosing a dish because everything looked so good on the menu! Delicious food and great service. I strongly recommend this place!

The truffle fries were absolutely worth the upgrade--crispy, indulgent, and hard to stop eating. Overall, a great first dinner experience post-renovation. Christmas Buffet? No thank you!…read more We had reservations for Christmas Brunch at the Grand Dining Room. It wasn't what we had anticipated. First of all, seating was slow. We had reservations for a small party of three. They were not prepared to seat us at the reservation time. About fifteen minutes later, I asked how much longer we should expect. They told me they would check and get back to me. They never did. Only after I re-approached the hostess' desk, did they look into it and FINALLY find us a table. Despite a reservation for the "Grand Dining Room," many people were seated in small, nondescript rooms on the periphery of the Grand Dining Room... kind of like how children are banished to side rooms/tables for meals at family gatherings. Not exactly the atmosphere people are expecting... or paying for. The food was also a disappointment. When we made the reservation and paid the more than $100/person (even for pre-schoolers) we anticipated a nice, multi-course meal, not a largely self-serve buffet with mediocre cuisine. It reminded me of a Golden Coral. Actually... at least Golden Coral has sneeze guards! I never understood why "upscale" places like this allow people to serve themselves. People using their hands to serve themselves while also eating with their hands in line and at their table... it's pretty gross. Why not hire a few additional staff members to SERVE guests to make sure things are at least sanitary. Bottom line, I wouldn't dine here. The cost was excessive, especially considering the realities of the service and experience they're providing.
